I'm sure this will be ass, but tbf Pinocchio has a lot more room for uncanny valley since he's literally a living Gerry Anderson effect
still not even the first time Disney's done live action of this
with Shields or Yarnell, whichever was the guy
Good point. I hope it's as least as good as the 2015 Cinderella film which is the only modern remake I've been able to stomach.

Never saw the original so I sadly skipped over this. When it came to live action/animation hybrids I was always more of a Bedknobs and Broomsticks sort of guy. Now there's an interesting idea for a remake.
You don't have to see the original to appreciate the remake. It's more of a reimagining than a remake. I know.....imagine. A Disney live-action remake that actually does something new with its source material and (this is the important qualifier here) does it well. Sail the high seas for a torrent or buy the Blu-Ray or something, it's actually a pretty damn good little film!

The Del Toro one is probably the only one anyone will want to see... but the shittily acted one is actually a dub of a Russian film. I wonder if it was actually a Buratino film before it came here?
Speaking of Russian films I think Disney needs to go ahead and remake the live action version of Bambi.

This soundtrack is fucking amazing by the way. It's just got that "driving around in your Corvette at night" vibes.

I thought the live action Jungle Book was fine. I have to at least give the kid credit for a really good performance given his lack of anything real to work with. It has been awhile since I have seen the film though, so maybe I am wrong.

That entire channel has whole scenes from the film. Combine those with Turning Red’s junior novelization and Little Golden Book and wouldn’t be surprised if the entire film was spoiled by Thursday morning.
My mom would've beaten the ever-loving SHIT out of me had I gone outside her house looking like that during my middle school years. "Real men"? More like "real faggots".
Back in my day kids like that were bullied until they either stopped being weird or they decided to take a long walk on a short pier. Doing a flip onto the rocks below may or may not be required.

Either that or we got ‘em to step on one of these fuckers until they learned to correct their behavior.

These puppies still put the fear of God into the hearts of men, women, children, pets, and maybe even demons everywhere.

The tack seems a bit superfluous given how quickly you'll be crippled by the lego brick.

Hoo boy if you say anything negative about Turning Red, get ready for shit to get ugly fast. Even when it was going to drop in theaters I thought it looked like ass. I'm sorry but when Pixar goes from this:
to looking like a generic commercial that a college student could make in 3 hours then I don't have the highest hopes for the movie.

Disney's really pushing Turning Red, like the ESPN crowd would have any kind of interest in watching a movie that's an allegory for periods:

What fucking allegory? They flat out show the girls mom placing maxis and tampons on the sink and ask if she's getting her period as point blank as the lee Harvey Oswald shooting.

That's the thing that really pisses me off: not only do they sexualize childhood, they do it as obviously as possible, as if to rub it into our faces. Even if they don't, and just want to "make a statement", they do it with all of the subtlety of stabbing you in the eye with a fucking salad fork.

The activist weirdos of today don't bother with subtlety. Their contempt for ordinary people that want children separate from the realm of sexuality until they're ready is obvious. These parasites won't stop and will only grow more emboldened by the year. I truly hope a horrific conflict occurs if it means they're caught in the crossfire.
