I used to use Opera for years, so I might look at Vivaldi. I like the integrated ad block of Brave (I don't need to see the near majority black only or race mixed ads. The Angloshere is not majority black. I don't hate black people but this is weird). I will look for a good browser with adblock. I found issues with some standalone adblockers. Brave had a good system with ads, but I cannot abide woke censorship. I always use a VPN.

Vivaldi also has a built in adblock that supports ABP filter lists, but I use uBlock Origin anyway. Also uBO isn't that great out of the box, it's best to enable more filter lists and even add some more, then it becomes really powerful at filtering websites. So if you feel like Vivaldi's adblocking or uBO isn't good enough, consider looking into additional filter lists.

Thanks. Yes, I will that. The filter lists would need to be done thoroughly as some ads are basically browser wrecking viruses.

There will never ever be a point in which you are operating in an avenue where a small number of people have 100% control over your ability to even exist in that space where it is not going to get raped by corporations and collectivism. The internet is like a wet dream for the power hungry and degenerate, a place where even the physically strongest and the most charismatic can be unpersoned with a click of a button with no recourse.

The internet is a transhumanist hellscape that is the problem.

Hmm, I'm not sure I fully agree. I think tech is accelerating the death spiral into corporatism for humans. But the ideas of corporatism aren't new or technological. Information technology kind of hurts the whole "ruled by the most mediocre and without scruples" that corporatism sets up. So they have to keep ramping up the control. Which keeps dumbing down the Commons.

Yeah, they can unperson you online. You can also plant a meme that results in them all believing an ok symbol is hateful. 12 people can turn back the clock on fighting childhood diseases worldwide. The Gamestop...thing.

Eventually the workers will reach critical mass and there will be a tiktok challenge where the wealthy elite all drink expensive poison for clout, and because they haven't ever cooked their own food, they won't have any idea what they just mixed together.

It’s cause X11 normally uses the middle click to copy/paste text. It’s a hold over from a while back when copy and paste was a pretty neat feature, and it’s entirely separate to the normal Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V stuff. I just use Ctrl+Click, does the same thing, although I’m pretty sure at least for me middle click works, can’t remember though.

I swear the next fucking time I see this damn schizo website I'll really fucking lose it. Most programs take information from your computer to some extent, Steam does that for example.

The issue is how invasive it is and how extraneous the information taken is. Facebook, Microsoft and Google are all peak spyware in this department.
  1. The GDPR was created because of Google's youtube.
  2. It got so bad with Facebook and its shadow profiles leak that the Zucc had to show up in court.
  3. Nothing interesting with Microsoft happened, but considering that Win 10 sends like 12 requests per second to Microsoft servers I think it's basically a keylogger.
Vivaldi is nowhere near that bad and from the look of it, the information is so insignificant that no normal person would think twice if they understood what was presented to them.

Things have changed a lot since SOPA and PIPA, the feds and their mainstream media allies have succeeded in subverting Big Tech from what it was before the 2012 presidential election and the whole sideshow over SOPA and PIPA and all that lunacy that Obama tried to enact.
