Yea Phil, can't imagine what kind of person would do that. He then proceeded to find a secret entrance totally on his own. I guess he thinks if he admits to the guide on one, he can still be a speshul boy if he found the secret entrance on his own.

Phil is what Tony Soprano would describe as a "Wonder bread WOP". He eats his Sunday gravy from a jar. No regard for old traditions .

But Phil really has no accomplishments of his own to identify with so he leans into the "Italian Heritage".

That reminds me of the time he said he read reviews on the hori neck phones and they were “in some foreign language” turns out most of the reviews were written in Italian.

Say what you want about the gay thing being just a theory, but Phil must be projecting some kind of area of effect field around him that turns EVERYTHING (not just people) stupid. This isn't the first time when he is using a guide and somehow it feels like the playthrough is worse than if he was just playing the game without it. This pig can take something that was designed to help people progress smoothly and somehow twist it and stubbornly try to follow it without ever trying to get a feel for the game and understanding the tasks better. It really is a fucking thing to behold. It's moment like these where I would kill in cold blooded murder just to get a glimpse into someone's brain. I am so curious regarding what goes through his head.

Speaking of which, he's back to acting again. Think double illusionary wall in Blight Town from the Redemption Run 2.0.

In random area, decides to say "why is a pot here?", rolls right into it and behold, important NPC and fake surprise on a precious important item that lets him go up a lift to make progress. So on top of him saying gay shit like "others I was watching "only in the beginning"(his words)...", and this flip floppy script he keeps rewriting live it just means he wants to do what he normally does in real life, say what is reality in the meantime despite how contradictory it sounds.

Not everyone has a memory of a goldfish, Phil. The fact he comes across this area despite getting the key already near the lake dragon that allows him to progress onto the actual important area of the zone, which is the big Harry Potter school, he goes and fucks around in an totally random area and finds the important item. Amazing.

Edit: Important note. This triggers an NPC invasion back at roundtable. Where he mysteriously said "lets go to round table" after getting this item. When he traveled he decided to suspend the game and do impromptu Beg Segment to asks for Likes. Comes back and acts confused. This acting is so fucking bizarre.

How much of Phil's commentary on "bugs" and "lag" is him trying to convince himself he's good at the game vs convincing his audience? it's clear he uses it as a way to cope but I'm wondering which way the scale tips.

He reads guides, overlevels, and cheeses encounters so clearly he knows he needs help and he's being deceitful. But also his refusal to learn for himself, disdain against being mocked (even in a lighthearted way) and shifting blame to the game implies he himself believes his skills are at least proficient.

These two things don't fit together. I'm assuming it leans more towards him trying to convince his viewers for validation. How does this man's brain function? (Inb4 "it doesn't")

I'm surprised he hasn't found his way to the ice axe yet. The skill on that is actually busted and can trivialize most encounters.

Anyone who knows someone who day-drinks would say that Phil has classic gin-brain logic. That and having to remember all the lies leaves us with way too much material and him with a lot of people to LIMB.

Phil is completely ruining Elden Ring. All he does is cheese with the horse. If his OP halberd doesn't work he spams magic while complaining that his character can't fire backwards as he rides the horse away from the enemy. When forced off the horse he does nothing but the jump attack over and over. Top that off with obvious use of guides, streamchat handholding and lots of stalling, and you've got a completely worthless playthrough. Not even worth hate watching.

I wouldn't mind OP shit but the way he goes about his adventures is all scripted. The things he plows through are guided. He already knows whats going on.

When you start hearing him whine a lot it's because he naturally got lost and didn't read anything about whatever is kicking his ass.

If you are going to cheese, don't act so high and mighty about it, but Phil does.

He did when he lightning spammed his way through DS2 and when he used the Black Knight Halberd.

I am all for people playing whatever the way they want, I just hate how Phil is so arrogant about everything.
