Looking at the related map of Russian advancement over the Ukraine, here is my armchair/chicken tendies/basement analysis of the event:

Russia's plan was never to occupy Ukraine, but to complete the liberation of Donetsk and Luhansk provinces, form a land corridor all along the coast of the Azov sea to Crimea, and to secure Kherson so that Crimea's water supply would never be cut off or reduced.
That is their territorial objective, and the only one that matters.

Their secondary objectives in the North is mostly a feint to tie down the Ukrainian army.

The 40 mile convoy north of Kiev is only meant to keep Ukrainian defenses tied up in the North while the Russians complete their objectives in the South.

Putin doesn't have any intention of assaulting or occupying any other cities that do not have an overwhelmingly massive number of Russian speakers. That would be expensive and he has little or nothing to gain, especially in the propaganda war. Securing the south, the coast of the Sea of Azov and water for Crimea is all they need, because that leaves little for Ukraine other than Odessa, which the Russian fleet at Sevastopol can blockade with ease since Ukraine no longer has a navy.

In Putin's mind, taking out Zelensky or the Ukrainian government would be nice, but unnecessary. It would be an added bonus, but it is not an objective. Putin prefers having Zelensky in position because the latter doesn't understand military matters, geopolitics, security, intelligence, economics, etc. He's like their version of Joe Biden except he was just a comedian and doesn't have widespread support among his own people, despite the massive glowie campaign to make it appears as though he is loved and revered.

Since Russia's territorial demands are almost complete, they will start to reduce ground forces but beef up air defense units in their new areas.

If they do keep token land forces in the North, those will be the same conscript/low value military who are only there for show and to keep NATO and the Ukrainians army tied up.

So Russia reiterated recently about getting some 16k Syrian "volunteers".

Can we now admit Russia has shit the bed completely and the only path to a military victory for them at this point is brute forcing it?

On a side note I expect an increase in NATO country "volunteers" as a reaction to this.
Idk, it's almost impossible to tell because of all the lies being spread by both sides. But it doesn't look like Russia is losing.

Internationalizing the war is a big fucking mistake tho, at least from the point of view of non-sociopathic people who don't want to see the Syrian civil war copypastaed to eastern Europe. Nato countries shouldn't be allowing it, and neither should Russia. But this is just another extremely faggoty escalation of the conflict that all sides will probably come to regret eventually. Tho not as much as the Ukies will regret their country being turned into free-to-play battle royale massively multiplayer FPS for the sake of "democracy" or "denazification" or whatever absolute fucking bullshit is being offered as an excuse today.

Add the objective of decimating Ukrainian military so future separatists have an easier time taking control and I'll agree totally.

I know , I know, it's the Kyiv Independent and all, but still, madness if true. We are now into children's tactics of warfare.
I'm still waiting for the first world ending disaster they reported on. "Russia shelled a spent fuel containment building. Radiation levels are up 6 gorillion percent"

Yeah, he had to decimate the Ukie Air Force and Air defenses, so that Russia will have complete air superiority for the next few decades. It is effectively a Russian No-Fly Zone. Now they will simply concentrate on the ground forces, starting with the artillery units.

British ex-Army soldier/merc goes to war in Ukraine, gets hit with rockets/helicopter fire, runs scared into the woods, gets picked up by Ukraine Territorial Defense who torture him thinking he's a Russian spy, gets released, immediately goes back home to the UK.

Ukies probably didn't want to waste the bullets on this tard. Bugmen gonna bugmen I guess.
Why is the left so concerned about pregnant women? It's just a parasite and as long as it's unborn you can abort it any time you want. It makes you stronger!
I saw some posts saying it was fake gayops and that chick was basically some crisis actor. Wouldn't surprise me given Ukrainian gayops have all been proven gayops so far. They are trying everything to get NATO involved, and paying some Instagram model to pretend to be a dead women is definitely something they would do.
He is also 40 years old, married and has a one year old child. I just don't get people like him.
Bugmen gonna bugmen if it gives them the chance to LARP as Ironman or whoever they worship.
Here's another one; Alexander Tobiassen:
"Wanna kill a Russian? DM me..."

This propaganda war terrifies me. In the matter of about a week the West has been whipped into a frenzy about attacking Russians, shunning Russians, and volunteering to kill Russians; all over a regional conflict that the West has no purpose getting involved in besides the fact our governments love fucking around in shitholes that they want as puppet states.

I guess I know how people in 1914 felt hearing that the death of the heir of AH by some Serbian nationalist who maybe was tied to a Serbian nationalist group without state funding by Serbs has led to full scale war.

What would Putin gain from blowing up Chernobyl? The dude already has nuclear weapons. Is he following Assad's doctrine, gleaned from the works of Sun Tzu?

He's just gonna release a bunch of fallout that will blow over into Belarus and Russia as well because Putin is just so, so EEEEEEEEEVILLLLL and is doing it for the evulz.

Russian & Donbass forces have captured so many Javelins that the Russian gov has put together a manual.

It wouldn't surprise me if this becomes another Afghanistan seeing the huge amount of equipment and other shit left by the Ukries.

The Ukries don't know how to pull an orderly retreat without leaving half of their shit behind.

BTW, Luhansk is about to fall anytime now, even the wikipedia page shows this.
The future of modern warfare unveiled...

With Russia banning Facebook it's quite obvious shit's gonna get worse and Nukes will be flying soon.

This won't ever stop and I think America wants a war at this point. I can't even trust anyone anymore and I legit don't have any care for Ukraine as a country, only the people who are being fucked over by this war.
Call me hopium, but i really, really doubt nukes will fly anytime soon unless russia launches a direct attack to a nato country or viceversa.
Yeah burger government is retarded and there's no doubt that both sides are trying to false flag eachother, but for now until it actually happens i won't loose any sleep.
Yeah russia banning twitter and facebook (based) is kinda weird but you gotta remember that they themselves would have done that without russia's help.

As i said, at this point both sides have been saying this kind of shit for days, so both of them can fuck off.(this is the same intelligence that was denying a russian invassion was coming even after burgers were telling them to prepare)

Well, if the rumor that Putin is ill (or even dying) is true, maybe he decided to take the whole world with him if he couldn't get what he wants

Haven't they been claiming this for days and days now?
Hannity went off the deep end and was claiming that Chechen soldiers at Zaporizhzhia "mining the reactors" so they could nuke Europe. I was promised armageddon. Oh well, i'm sure any day now we'll be getting stories about brave volunteer medics handling chemical weapon victims with bare hands and doing tiktok challenges

Ukrainian Ministry of Defense claims they killed Major General Andrei Kolesnikov, the commander of the 29th Combined Arms Army. They incorrectly stated that he was the commander of the Eastern Military District (he's not) so this claim is already on shaky ground... I'll come back in a few hours and see if any Russian sources are confirming it.

The two previous Major Generals that died were both chiefs of staff, not actual commanders like this guy is, if the claim's true.
