I don't know if this has been mentioned here already (this thread is moving fast, don't have time right now to read through the last 30 pages) but Jaworów was bombed the other night. It's 16km from Polish border and, while the town itself was a military base which is why it was bombed, Polish people are starting to get concerned.

Could be, but what is the full context? Based on the image it doesn't sound possessive.
Hard to tell since it's cut, but I'd assume they mean 'his show' - either way its ridiculous. "Land of the free" but if someone is like "putin is evil but getting involved is stupid and sanctions across the board are immoral" and the Russians completely logically decide to show this (which btw is good since I hope it can reduce Russian hatred towards all Americans) - "ok fbi srsly u need to kill him"

So, what the fuck is going on? I gave up on trying to follow the thread a while ago. Is Kiev under siege? This must be the worst documented war in human history.
Local news are talking about covid variants again, so I assume that means either things are winding down or Russia is winning.
Russia has pretty much been winning since day one once Nato admitted they weren't taking part. Kiev is nearly surrounded and has had its infrastructure completely fucked (power + internet is sporadic and as such it's doing a great job at rotting fresh food supplies and communicating with the outside world). You can only get the public onside for about a month before they lose interest and now that's over it's back to nobody giving a shit about Ukraine until Russia raises its flag over Kiev.

One thing I learned from this conflict

Camo is dead

It turns out that not being killed by friendly fire seems more important than merging with the environment.
At this point you can just return to French ww1-syle colors

If this ends up being the catalyst for armies to start switching back to more aesthetic uniforms, I'm all for it.
Seems like those are all Ukrainians or militias.

Compared to the Russians using their standard green dotish uniform camo, you can see why these ragtaggers are getting bullied around by the Russians.

Uncle Sam overall was using Ukraine as a cumsock for corrupt financial dealings.

The Ukrainian Military being trained by Uncle Sam, reminds me of how well the Iraqi Military and Afghani Military did against insurgents, which was terrible.

I don't see armies returning back to that, they should rather take lessons from the Taliban on how to defend against a superior force and those lot dropped the standard sheepherder outfit to look as tacticool as possible.

Hard to tell since it's cut, but I'd assume they mean 'his show' - either way its ridiculous. "Land of the free" but if someone is like "putin is evil but getting involved is stupid and sanctions across the board are immoral" and the Russian completely logically decide to show this (which btw is good since I hope it can reduce Russian hatred towards all Americans) - "ok fbi srsly u need to kill him"
The other weird thing is it's "Karsona" and not "Karlsona" as Russian does have an L instead of just using an R sound like Japanese does with something like "ra" being pronounced is "la".

But I do agree that just because someone makes a statement that aligns with the goals of an opponent doesn't mean they're evil.

As far as war is concerned, the average American's brain might as well be rotting cabbage. Some things to keep in mind:
  1. The last time there was a war of technological parity on the American homeland with a foreign adversary was 1812.
  2. The last time there was a war of technological parity on the American homeland at all was 1865.
  3. The last time Americans faced then-modern tanks was 1945.
  4. The last time American troops faced serious artillery was 1953.
  5. The last time American troops faced meaningful threats from the air was 1975
  6. The USA has, to this day, never taken more deaths in a war than it did from 1861-1865.
The result of basically every country we want to fuck with except Russia being completely unable to meaningfully strike us resulted in the dumbest military doctrine of all human history. During the 1990s, the USA adopted a philosophy that American missile strikes, special forces raids, and aircraft bombings are not, on their own, acts of war. They're "international police actions" that we can do because we're The Good Guys. This led to the US government, and Americans in general, being completely unable to see the 9/11 attacks as the latest escalation in a long war. Somewhere along the way, we also adopted the doctrine that arming, advising, and funding a revolution is also not an act of war against the country we do it to.

Americans, despite fighting endless wars, don't really know what war is, and we don't respect it. Because we don't respect it, we don't fear it.
yeah to america 'war' means 'professional soldiers going on adventures in faraway lands' and those adventures are expected to result in default victories due to overwhelming imbalances in technology and budget.
america hasn't fought an actual threatening war in 200 years unless you count the civil war it fought against itself. even in ww2 the closest the enemy ever got to america was pearl harbor - which is on fucking hawaii, almost 4000 kilometers away from mainland america.
because of all this, americans do not understand the actual danger or threat war represents. soldiers and veterans do understand it, but the population by and large does not.

It seems that shit got real. Copy/pasta:

Russian strike on Ukrainian training base reportedly killed around 180 foreign fighters. The news is being reported by both sides.

Brazilian foreign fighter in Ukraine has reported about this news on his Instagram story and stated “the base where we were was attacked now from missiles more than 200 dead, 200! people that came to help the Ukrainian people”

Another Brazilian foreign fighter has survived the Russian strike on an Ukrainian training base and stated: “Thank you God for another day of life. Sad for the friends who died in the attack on our base.”

It's certainly a step up from the shit you see in the west like Aryan Brotherhood at least. There probably are some well-intentioned people in the group, but they're certainly not in the driver's seat. This war for instance would have been the perfect opportunity for them to simply declare independence for the Azov area. Ukraine obviously wouldn't be able to retaliate and Russia would be overjoyed at being able to just march straight up north from Crimea entirely unopposed with the added benefit of the move legitimizing their liberation narrative. Now they're all going to get slaughtered in a classic siege situation that the Ukrainian government clearly saw coming and after the war, their Jew-owned government is going to pin every war crime they can on them.
They are Ukrainian racial nationalist not separatists it defeats the purpose if the point of your movement is to have a United Ukrainian Volk

I have a new job starting tomorrow or rather a different position that i wanted for quite some time.
Redditors getting blown the fuck up by rockets is my sundae with perfect flavor for today.
And don’t even get me started on the „Journo“ what a weekend. 👌
We're not even close to the REAL shitstorm: When journalists in Kiev realise that completely surrounded and no way out means no way out for them too. When they're handed a rifle and told to shoot Russians or line up against a wall we might see some interesting opinions if they ever survive and come back.

They seem to not be able to grasp the concept that once you go to war, you’re a target not matter what. I’m genuinely wondering if consuming media entertainment from childhood messed up their perception of reality.
For the redditors it was supposed to be just like their epic avengers and starwars movies. Supposedly grand and terrible conflicts, but no, or close to no, casualities for the good guys. And on the off chance a single named protagonist dies, it's a huge thing, and they'll eventually come back somehow anyway in a sequel.

Actual military vets should know better I suppose, but even western actual military has gotten used to being untouchable to any local goatherder opposition in open battle and suffering all their losses through IED's and the occasional ambush, while keeping a kill ratio of 100:1

Th is 🕰️Late, but, soon after the war between Rossiya nd Ukraïna started, some people decided to learn Ukraïnian.

Of course, Duolingo put out a news article on the two languages around tha time:

I do not blame Duolingo; I actually feel tha they have truly, honestly altruistic reasons behind that article.
I also feel tha those who learn Ukraïnian because of the war are doing that Ralph Wiggum 'i'm helping' meme... or at leas that Will Smith 'He a little confused, but he got the spirit' meme. Like... that has them feel tha they are helping, that has them expres solidarity, but what good would that do in practise? Are they doing that out of actua love of Ukraïnians, or do they just wan to feel good abou themselves and virtue signal? Moreover, would they still have learned Ukraïnian if Ukraïne was in peaceful times?
Of course, what about Rossiyan? Tonnes of Rossiyans are being hurt in this war too... especially overseas, where they are being lumped together with Vladimir?
