Dr. Rachel McKinnon / Dr. Veronica Ivy / Rhys McKinnon / Rachel Veronica McKinnon / Foxy Moxy / SportIsARight - failed out of a tenured job,man who competes in womens sports, gained like 100 lbs in 2022 (page 813), comically fell off bike before a race (page 830)

Fuck this man is a fucking fool. As mentioned upthread; he aired his dirty laundry on the interwebs and everybody who is even the slightest bit interested knows he was getting canned for falling way below average, being insufferable, not being a team member and constantly damaging the CofC. These are all facts IIRC.

Adults of his age, who are unemployed and have had to move back in with mommy, are doing very far away from ok. Unless you measure success as being a freeloading and sponging user.

Anyway....lets have more really bad lifting vids and photoshopped bicycle trips please. I want to see that success. I want to see it is so good that i can almost smell it.
He's a fucking loser who fucked up his entire life in a hilariously public way, and is so socially retarded that he thinks that lying about what actually happened on Twitter will fool people into believing that he didn't single-handedly torpedo his academic career.

The only one you're fooling is you, Troony McTroonface, and to be honest I have my doubts about that as well.

By the way, your boss Gordie, the Canadian Tire department manager isn't happy that you shelved all of the stuff in the Housewares section wrong. You better keep him happy, or you'll have managed to fuck up yet another almost-impossible-to-lose job.

A FOIA search needs to be submitted to Charleston
I'll tip my hat to the terf brave enough to do it. I can't, as tempted as I am (oh and believe you me, it's tempting), if Rhys were to show up at my house with a pack of troons and angrily protest, I'd probably die laughing and then they would steal all my stuff.
Remember Rhys got $1,000 for his speaking engagement at Michigan State. 11.5k CAD is around 9k USD are you telling me that Rhys' charges have gone up tenfold over the pandemic?

Rhys you are so full of narc bullshit. If a you were paid 11.5k for an appearance, I would imagine the event would be plastered EVERYWHERE. The farms is the only place that follows you and we've heard nothing.

EDIT: The only people that would pay Rhys to speak are tranny studies college departments. 11.5k is basically their entire budget.
Good call on the CAD. I know TV pays stupid money, but $11,500 sounded a bit high. $9k makes a lot more sense and it follows Rhysian logic of using his move to Canada to disingenuously inflate his payday. I could see The Hill giving him at least as much, and maybe he's including that too (he shouldn't because it was months later, but we know how he operates).

Now we know he gets paid from every speaking appearance. Remember when he was a total dick to that pleasant reporter lady? She wasn't going to pay him. We all figured that out at the time but his recent boast is putting things in better perspective. So $9k for CNN and The Hill, his old fee was $1,000 and we saw him on the worst Zoom call excuse for a conference ever sold.

So let me work on this real quick:
Smercornish CNN: $9,000
Smercornish Podcast: $4,000
ASU thing with George Clinton: $1,000
British Cycling Whatever: $1,300
Doctors Without Budgets: $500
Total: $15,800 USD, whatever that is in Monopoly money I dunno

So let's say he's not a total cock-up and his pocketing $250/mo each from his trailers after everything. He isn't but let's just use it anyway:
$250*5 trailers = $1,250/mo * 12 mo = $15,000/yr

I don't know how much his articles paid. I couldn't even hazard a guess. He had three publications, the stupid paper that was supposed to be a book, the Economist op-ed, and another one I'm forgetting. The paper didn't pay anything, but the other two certainly did. $5k/ea? I don't know so I'm leaving this out. I think the inflated trailer income more than covers it.

Okay so using my la-la-land math, Rhys is making around $31,000/yr USD at the minimum. He was making $62,000 at CofC including his benefits. Those benefits would account for almost half of that, so Rhys is comfortably able to put on blinders and convince himself he's in the same position. This is especially easy if he's cheating on his taxes and avoiding even a few of those famous Canadian taxes.

TL;DR
Rhys is making enough that his money coming in is quite close to and possibly more than he was receiving from CofC. That doesn't count benefits but in classic McKinnon form, he is cherry-picking the facts he likes to make himself feel better.

Also I am an autist who writes Rhys hate fiction so take it for what it's worth.

I don't know about that. According to the website that lists it, the figure is just salary and bonuses, not benefits.
And at any rate, I don't think he was getting $30K/year worth of benefits, whether it's included in that figure or not. Even a gold-plated employer-sponsored health insurance plan wouldn't cost nearly that much in premiums for a single man.
It seems he would have had a retirement plan which would contribute 15% of his salary to match his mandatory 10% contribution.
So, roughly $9K a year of benefits there.

I think the ultimate answer is much simpler though: in Charleston Rhys paid rent, in Mom's garage he doesn't. That's a massive drop in your cost of living as long as you have no shame.

There's no way his articles paid $5k. I'd be shocked if he got low multiple hundred for any of them.

He may be grifting hard, but here's the thing: a simple construction job, like the handyman LARP he was running for his Section 8 trailers, would make him more money than that in Canada. Basic carpentry gets you $60k as a floor. Don't know if you've noticed, but all of North America is trying to build as fast as it possibly can. He's milking trannydom for all it's worth and it's not worth as much as a journeyman plumber.

In fairness, he was never going to get rich as a sub-mediocre philosopher, fired or not. But he had it easy for the money he got, and if he ever wants to make an assistant professor's salary again he's going to have to work much harder. That's a big L.

Update on that troon who got genocided by one single joke of his boss.

Well this is interesting. He did a single speaking gig the first month he left CofC. That was the Smercornish interview. Then nothing until The Hill's gay thing, them the Smercornish radio interview, then the UK bicycle thing, and finally the super embarrassing "physicians" panel. Assuming each pays as much as CNN (they don't), he made around $60k speaking last year.

The thing is, he was making that plus his CofC paycheck. Sorry bud, you can't paint this as a win. Sure he's not starving, but he's not living on his own either. He can proclaim his success all day and night, but we've seen where he lives.

Oh yeah, Brad Dirks, have fun dipshit! He's your problem now.

Yep that's what successful people do, move back in with their mother in their 40s after your paedo roommate gets arrested

yes transitioning improved rhys' social life 1000% ! it's how he ascended from being a man married to a woman to being a bitter eunuch in a "platonic life partnership" with a child-fucker and then to the pinnacle of social success: moving back into mommy's basement in some snowy suburban cul-de-sac where he's the neighborhood weirdo people warn their kids about.

Also i bet the neighbors enjoyed seeing this over-the-hill slug "doing big ass gear standing starts" on the street. truly entertaining.

I can't believe (ok I can) that he'd brag about pulling out of articles he's committed to writing. As an editor of a book/issue, it is such a pain in the ass when people do that, especially if you've delayed everything waiting for that person.
Fucking faggot honestly wonders why he couldn't cut it in academia. At least this "Florence Ashley" fellow is willing to work. Oh and he's a looker too. Yikes!

That goddamn AGP fuck looks himself in the mirror and sees that face as a woman. Look at him in makeup. Fucking educated people with professional degrees sit around and pretend that guy is a woman. It's like 5 year olds playing house.

Honestly if I remove myself from 2022 and think about it from my mindet 20 years ago, its really sad. It's sad that this man feels the need to dress like a woman, and it's sadder that none of the good natured educated professionals in his life care enough to help. It's not kindness to watch a person do this to themselves and not say something.

Inshallah I'll take my crescent moons now.

It's not kindness to watch a person do this to themselves and not say something.
That's my personal biggest issue with enabling male transitioners even though it's fun to clown on them because they're ridiculous. They do worse on almost all social determinants of health, as excellently demonstrated by our boy Rhys, entirely due to the decisions they choose to make in pursuit of being real grills. They drop long-term partners; fail to make new ones; become increasingly hostile and paranoid of outgroup members (very bad news in biological males); their work performance suffers due to interpersonal beef or an insanely tight focus on ONLY their own issues; make less money and turn to "sex work" or "activism"; estrange themselves from family supports due to perceived bigotry; they take up substance abuse because the community enables insane risk-taking... the trans activist lifestyle does everything one could do to shorten their lifespan except kill themselves. It's not shocking that many male transitioners end up dying alone in hoarder houses. I would bet that's where Rhys is headed as soon as his mom passes.

Okay men, if Hussein at the Chevy dealership is able to live with his name, so can you. Everybody knows why Rhys changed his name. It wasn't fun and he picked a really stupid name in haste. Protip: men pick stripper names because we're horny all the time. It's a menstrual miracle that Rhys chose Veronica over Anastasia. Kitty would have been on that list too, if not for That 70's Show.

Show me one fucking picture of Rhys riding a bike in the last two years. One. I've seen him next to bikes and holding bikes. I've seen a bike leaning against that stupid garage door. I've seen Rhys decline to go on a pride ride. The man who is neither a professor nor a cyclist calls himself the trans cyclist/professor.

Rhys posted this last year. It's how he sees Veronica Ivy and I still find it hilarious.

So here's the thing about FOIA, if you're just a random citizen, what you get is very much in the hands of the people who process your request. I don't know the legal aspects really and certainly don't know the South Carolina specifics but based on working with my state and the federal one a few times there might be something here. Overrequesting material is not a reason to reject your request because you aren't really required to know the exact legal requirements, the institution is, they just simply deny what you're not entitled to request. The legal fights a lot of groups get into, like the conservative Judicial Watch who files lots of these almost incessantly, are disputes over whether material falls into these categories. They get sent lots of stuff almost automatically but it's not actually what they want, so then they have to start filing the legal challenges to try and get that so they can know what else to file for.

But that first part is really important. The government doesn't like Judicial Watch (or the ACLU or whoever else) inherently so they want to find every reason to deny anything they request because they know the group wants to use it. When it comes to just a citizen or random journalist requesting records for some unclear reason it depends on what you're asking for. If the specific institution doesn't really care about it and the FOIA office isn't setup to deny whatever it gets there's a good chance they'll dump tons of stuff on you because they don't have to go through it all too detailed and they figure you won't read it all anyway. Especially nowdays when they can do it electronically and don't have to actually reproduce the documents.

With Rhys, I see two possibilities. They hate him, he's no longer an employee and they wouldn't really understand why you want stuff. So there's a good chance they'll overcomply and send you most everything you request if you do it well enough. They aren't going to alert him or have him work on the material since he's gone, it'll just be some staffer who goes through a checklist after everything they'll refuse is crossed off which is why the prospect favors overcompliance. On the other hand, if anything Rhys says is true (lol) it might look like someone trying to get support for his claims in which case they'll read the FOIA statute in the most narrow way possible. It's also possible they might interpret it as Rhys trying to get documents by using someone else since that sounds like some faggot thing he would do.

A list like Kosher Dill made above is a good way to go about it, you just broaden it up a little more for the first request, it's not unusual to then make a second request that's more specifically about things. Basically everybody pretends that you're not really looking for specific things until you get some material which clues you to know what to ask for specifically. Technically, none of this is required, we can straight up request things Rhys has talked about specifically that we know about because of this thread, but super specific FOIA requests tend to be from weirdos/cranks or people with some clear agenda which discourages compliance (this is often illegal but nobody cares) whereas a broader one followed up by another one more specific looks more like legitimate curiosity.

The other way to discourage FOIA's is to impose processing costs on them, but these tend to be lenient especially if you're just a random wanting electronic records they may not even bother because you'll just tell them to forget it or just send whatever's free. (Certain stuff often has to be free.) Groups tend to want the documents anyway and will pay for them.

Of course, it might even be possible for one of us to just e-mail the chair and say something like we saw what Rhys was posting online, etc. and were curious about it and get some dirt back. Professors will reply to some of the weirdest things provided there's no kind of legal gag involved. Along similar lines, a first step for anyone interested in going down the path of FOIAing Rhys-related records/documents would probably be e-mailing the college's legal office to ask what kinds of things can be easily requested regarding a professor. They can help put into more general terms what some of the stuff like "legal records" or whatever actually applies to.

I probably would not mention in any of this that you want documents (or information) so you can post them to a Nazi stalker forum that murders trans people however.

Of course, it might even be possible for one of us to just e-mail the chair
The poor guy probably never wants to hear Rhys' name again. :sighduck:

I guess the other question is: can you make an FOIA request without doxing yourself to the world? Is "The list of people who made FOIA requests" itself FOIA-able?
