Let's talk about an interesting case of Dem self-sabotage. There was an attempt to fix the Dems' upcoming Leadership drought. Here in NY, however, they fucked it up to competition standards. So buckle in for a glorious case of Establishment vs Establishment.
While a lot of people floated that Anthony Weiner was being groomed to be a successor to the likes of Schumer, there's another side to the story you guys aren't so familiar with: He was being floated periodically because he wasn't cut from the same cloth as the other modern Dems. The hope was that he'd get in, be beholden to those who got him up there, and his history of actually representing his constituency sometimes would allow the old machine to keep thrumming along, put a good PR face forward. In essence, a quiet admission that the shit Obama was doing was going to blow up in the establishment's face.
Needless to say, a huge chunk of the establishment hated him, especially because Weiner, in fitting New Yorker fashion, wasn't afraid to get in a punch-up. He'd push the pulpit the way those floating wanted most of the time, but he'd happily break ranks and caucus with Republicans if it meant getting shit done that his constituents wanted. That shit, as we say, could not stand, especially because it meant potentially fucking the base slightly less. Needless to say, Weiner being exposed as having sent people pictures of his weiner was pretty much bog standard "get rid of the dipshit threatening us" tactics for the establishment Dems.
But it's the timing of when it happened that's interesting: This happened immediately after Weiner put up the Honest Services Restoration Act, a bill that had bipartisan support. While it died in committee soonafter, the bill would have mandated that if congressional representatives had financial or familial ties to a given subject in a bill, they were required to disclose it publicly. Suffice to say, this was something the establishment Dems and RINOs alike would have killed their families to stop from happening, let alone swat some little upstart Dem with an amusing name.
So with Weiner out of the picture, an attempt was made to go with another up-and-coming NY Dem with broad constituent support at the time, this time one who was more willing to toe the line. They went with Joe Crowley, another NY rep with a similar profile who, interestingly enough, was actually in office when Weiner got nuked, almost like it made it easier for the staff floating Weiner to go float Crowley instead.
Over the next few years, while Crowley was being developed for the position, Obama allowed the Progressives to run amok. In 2018, AOC primaried him and successfully stole his spot, riding on literally the most progressive spots in NY when the bulk of NY wasn't really paying attention. The establishment had sealed its own fate by destroying its own way out of the mire, via its own coterie of useless idiots.

They aren't happening, end of story. Far, far too many people haven't been paid off for 2020 still, are unlikely to be paid off, and a lot of RINOS who looked the other way because the Bad Orange Man was a threat to their grift are now sweating because they realize there's nothing stopping the Dems from pulling those electoral shenanigans on them, and the only thing better than controlled opposition is no opposition.

Actually, the Russian conspiracy theory started before the election.
Hillary's running against Trump and can't quite figure out how the entire country isn't behind her and why he has a massive base of support. She still thinks she's going to win, but can't figure out how to push out far ahead of Trump. So her and her allies, including the FBI launch a conspiracy theory as a pretext to actively spying on the Trump campaign. Hoping they'll get some dirt. Except they don't find anything to end his campaign. All it does is make her base hate Trump more as they start to believe he's a Russian puppet.
Any doubt over "Her turn" happening is ignored by pretending it factually can't happen. Her allies in the media keep reiterating this to her base. It's factually impossible she'll lose.
Then right before the election, the FBI freaks out Trump could win and they'll be found out. So the FBI attacks her campaign, so they don't look biased if there's any reckoning. Which unlike their attack on Trump, actually damages her campaign.
Still, in denial, her and her supporerts literally lose their mind that Trump won. It was factually impossible. The only explanation is the conspiracy theory, both in how the factually impossible even happened. As well as to try and not take responsibility for losing to Trump. The credibility of everyone across the establishment who pushed this narrative is in damage control.
They act as if the timeline has been corrupted, and they must do everything possible to get rid of Trump. Going on an ever maddening spiral of insanity. Believing and being told "the walls are closing in" on Trump. Endlessly through an ever crazier cycle of scandals and conspiracy theories. Yet they can't get him out, they can't correct the timeline.
So much so that over a year out from the next election, across big tech, the media, the democrats and other stakeholders. They concoct a plan to "fortify the election." They will do everything they can to undermine Trump. Actually start a real-life conspiracy theory to ensure Trump loses. At every level they will attack and undermine Trump.
Shortly into this, a pandemic breaks out and it's immediately politicised. As the establishment has to be against anything Trump does above all else.
Action is taken to stop people coming from the epicentre of the pandemic is labelled racist. By default, anything done to prevent the pandemic by the Trump administration has to be attack. They're encouraging people to go out and hug Chinese people to own the Orange man, all while the facts of the pandemic are getting figured out. "Oh shit." Overnight they reverse course and attack Trump on the pandemic from the other side. While constantly undermining anything he says. Institutions act the maximise the idea of, "Trump causes the pandemic" and so its threats are overblown. How deaths are counted are maximised as part of an election campaign. Proper information can't get out, because the pandemic is now a gift to them.
A giant wedge pushes the country further apart as the previous Russia hysteria migrates to pandemic hysteria.
The news and the internet gets further weaponised as a political tool. Obsessed with controlling the narrative. Anything they don't like is "fact=checked." They can't handle the idea of people thinking for themselves, because they may support Trump.
Still suffering from the shock of the last election, they still question if they can win. So they end up having a senile old man who they think is the safest bet to beat Trump. At every level, they change whatever rules they can make and do everything they think they can across the election system to ensure he wins. In the process, potentially corrupting it. Lots of people don't need to be directed to be dodgy with the rules to ensure Trump loses.
Trump loses, yet only just. So now what? The pandemic hysteria continues. Vaccines, Vaccines, Vaccines!!! All the while the senile old man is bubbling along doing a shitty job.
They further crack down at online censorship out of fear their conspiracy to stop Trump get's exposed for anything not quite legal.
The world's economies have all shrunk besides China. The post-pandemic world is in sight.
Meanwhile, Russia starts placing troops on its border. Threatening to make good on its long-standing threat to invade Ukraine. A threat that is the result of multi-decade policies the senile old President supported. The US is now in the weakest place it's been for ages. The senile old man is sleeping. Nothing is done to prevent the war. No one is in charge.
Panicked and not knowing what they do. The weaponise every aspect of corporate power and the entire global financial system. Enact mass censorship and every tool of non-military power at their disposal.
Which every non US Vassal state looks at and goes, "shit we need to move away from these systems. They are direct tools of US foreign policy that can be used against us." The easiest way is to start implementing Chinese alternatives alongside them as well as a push towards making new ones. To take place in globalism as it now stands is a threat to your national sovereignty.
The covid hysteria now turns to anti-Russian hysteria. Those that said it was racist to ban flights from the centre of a pandemic, now want to unperson an entire Russian people with extreme xenophobic fervour. Pushing for policies that would actively start WWIII.
The media now knows nothing but pushing maddening hysteria. To not think starting WWIII is a good idea, makes you a secret Russian agent, just like Trump was. The further censoring of online and fact checking ramps up. People's ability in this hysteria get even worse. All ability to think is now gone.
So yeah, the Russia conspiracy and all the hysteria caused by Hillary and her supporters as done so much damage to the US.

Maher, the more I think about it, is the type of liberal that desperately wants to go back to the status quo of around 2009-2012. IE before the woke anti-life shit sank in and the left were the cool rebels that just took power and scored some major policy wins (Obamacare and Gay Marriage) and the right were the evil, stick in the mud religious right Dean Bitterman types who were square as fuck and anti-fun and constantly censoring shit.
Had Trump not sued Maher and made shit super personal in terms of his TDS, I can totally see him going right wing or at least become an alt-lite/skeptic type.
But at the end of the day, for all his self awareness, Maher just wants to go back to the days when it was cool to be a lefty and Obama was king. He's the equivalent of the kid who's parents are splitting in the mother of all nasty divorces and who thinks he can force of will make his parents stay together and regress back to they were before the marital split hit the point of no return, if he screams and shouts enough and yells at them for fucking shit up.

At this point, I truly believe in an utterly nihilistic black pill way one has in situations like this, that Biden and his ilk WANT World War 3, purely for the sake of starting a global war of death and suffering in a final desperation bid to get reelected; based on the fact that no sitting President has ever been kicked out of office during wartime. Or worse, to declare martial law and do away with elections all together and give themselves the excuse to scorch earth kill/imprison Republican politicians and voters.
Kamala was supposed to be that, especially after Corey Booker flamed out on them (too much baggage in terms of being in Congress long enough to have a past voting record that could be used against him vs Obama, who was in the Senate for a couple of years and came in after the infamous Iraq war vote that has long been weaponized against the DNC Congressmen who made the craven decision to vote for war) and the rumors that Stacy Abrams has skeletons in her closet that made it impossible for Biden to pick her.
Most of the "young blood" are damaged goods at this point; Mayor Pete COULD have been but his Marie Antoinette moment over gas prices has killed his career prospects at this point.
Elizebeth Warren might be their only hope but even then, there are rumors she's being groomed to be the new leader of the Democrats in the Senate as part of a faustian bargain she made to backstab Bernie.
AOC is NOT Pelosi's heir. She's basically the appointed tard wrangler for the Squad in so far as the fact that AOC got "the talk" to keep her in line while the rest of the cunt squad have flocked around Maxine Waters, who most definitely is angling to steal the throne from Pelosi the second she steps down.
Pelosi has NO fucking heir and has had to basically give up any hope of retirement to enjoy her ill-gotten graft in what years she has left, because of AOC costing her heir his seat combined with the fact that Democrat civil war is inevitable when she retires, with people like Maxine Waters being deemed "unacceptable" by the money men in charge of the party.
Also, AOC is most definitely going to try and run for President the second she legally is able to. That is the end goal for the Justice Democrats with AOC and having her run the House Democrats would be a step down for what they plan for her to do.
Biden actually DID try to run a primary against Hillary and had his flunkies leak stories about how Beau's "dying wish" was for his dad to run for President and "stop Hillary and Bill from demanding the nomination be handed to them on a silver platter without anyone else having a shot at it".
Hillary's media cronies IMMEDIATELY moved to squash Biden like a bug; they had media loyal to the Clintons basically accuse Biden of making shit up about Beau's dying wish and accused him of trying to exploit his son's death to advance his political career and "smear" the Clintons. They then also had the media bring up various cases of plagiarism from Biden's past to further destroy his reputation, before Obama finally set Joe down and told him he was being skipped over for Hillary and that Hillary would DESTROY him forevermore if he didn't publicly withdraw his pledge to run in 2016.
This was the final straw in creating a rift between Obama and Biden, that lasted until the Charlottesville debacle and Biden smugly telling Obama "I told you so" and guilt tripping Obama into making damn sure Biden got the nomination in 2020.
For a lot of people on the left having Voter ID is a form of voter suppression due to the Kafka-esque nightmare that is getting government ID.

Why are Voter ID laws racist? That's the wrong question. The religious assumption is that no barrier to voting can be allowed (unspoken reason: because barriers to voting make it harder if not impossible to cheat). That is the unchangeable, permanent conclusion. You work backwards from there to find justifications and rationales.

Drilling down through the madness to find the unassailable "truth" that the leftist is defending is great fun, too, as it lets you predict the madness, to a point.
There is no way to break this thought process, by the way. Your only way is to find the non-religious leftists and moderates and force the change through. The leftists will go to their dying breath screaming about how you cannot violate the holy scriptures of things they pulled out of their ass.
Once you realize the leftists literally are a political religion, everything makes a lot more sense. Late answer, but you do a staggered run until you are out of fuel. A freezer can keep itself for 6-8 hours at worst, a day at best, depending on where it is located and how often you access it. Only turn it on when the temp gets above a threshold you are comfortable with. It lets you still preserve food until you find a pedal generator. With a pedal generator, you can keep stuff frozen so long as you do a 2-hour cardio daily. First, however, do a long run to lower the temp. That way you can keep it cooled.

And if it disappears, then something else will fill the power vaccuum it leaves behind. In a rough sense the media and "science" has replaced it. Like, try to argue with someone that believes their phone over you. No matter the argument you make, you can't win. Honestly a better term for this is Statism. I was skeptical when some Farmers proposed that the State has replaced the void left by Christianity in religious dogma, but you can't deny that these people are making a very good case for this to be the case.

Bill Maher is just sad to listen to. Yes he absolutely wishes he was back in the 2000s complaining about Bush and his bullshit wars but the fact that he still clings to the left who now think Bush was a good guy after all and wars are great and peaceful working class protests should be violently suppressed just makes him seem sad. I can grant him that he does at least attempt to call out the left on this at times but he's just another useful idiot who'll vote blue no matter who, no matter what, so nothing he says holds any weight any more.
She's staying out of the spotlight because she doesn't want to be associated with Biden literally and figuratively shitting the bed. Her campaign is going to be entirely "Oh if only I had been president the last 8 years, none of this would have happened but it's not too late!"
