Any retard who wanders off into some completely foreign military adventure without doing way more than mere due diligence is so stupid they deserve whatever they get. I don't see any Hemingways or Orwells coming out of this one though because we are living in Tard World.

It was supposed to be Antifa's "International Brigades" moment where they be all macho and defend communist Barcelona from modern day fascists. LOL

And who will they get from the UN to enforce said zone? Assuming NATO wishes to not directly engage the Russians? And where would they stage out of?
no idea i only heard it while i was working, i can try and find the broadcast- it was news at 1 if i remember right

Top Polish politician calls for peacekeeping mission in Ukraine
Reading this article from reuters, this part made me a bit curious.

"I think that it is necessary to have a peace mission - NATO, possibly some wider international structure - but a mission that will be able to defend itself, which will operate on Ukrainian territory," Kaczynski told a news conference."
Followed by:
"It will be a mission that will strive for peace, to give humanitarian aid, but at the same time it will also be protected by appropriate forces, armed forces," said Kaczynski, who is seen as the main decision-maker in Poland.

Maybe my reading comprehension is shit, but doesn't this just means sending NATO/foreign soldiers to ukraine? they're trying to sell it as if it's just to give humanitarian aid and shit but we all know that they would still be targeted by ruskis.

You're telling me a man named Kaczynski wants to trigger nuclear war?
The writers for our simulation have a sick sense of humor.

if anything it sounds like NATO will do their own occupation if the kiev government collapses, or assist in their relocation to lviv

While this can be 100% real, the fact that there is nothing to make me believe it's real. Like seriously, you could make this same exact thing in 10 minutes on any editing software. Plus, ever since that one article came out people have been saying he is dead. You know who also had that happen to them? The fucking Ghost of Kiev. People said that he or she or whatever the fuck was shot down like hours after the rumor started.

I'm sick and tired of people on here taking everything they see that fits their narrative as the truth and not at all as propaganda (because trust me, there is plenty on both sides).

Edit: Holy fucking shit I didn't realize it until someone pointed it out, he somehow would have got into Mariupol, despite it being completely encircled.

Kaczynski's twin brother died in 2010 in a Polish government plane crash around Smolensk and there are plenty of conspiracy theories that it was the Russkies that shot down/blew up the plane. The man might have war wood at the thought of fighting the Russians and avenging his brother.

This guy is such a tool. He needs to go back to Russia and stay there like the rest of the Russian Army.

One of my doctors is from Russia. Great doctor, great lady. Know she's pretty upset over the war. Today talked with a man from Ukraine I have known for a number of years; his wife used to work for me. They live nearby. He and his family are also upset over the war. They have family members in Ukraine at risk, some who have left the country. The stress and pain was obvious in this gentleman's face.

Just a hard thing to see what these folks, all great people, are going through. See the doctor again in about a month, hope this shit is resolved by then.

The politicians start the wars, the troops fight them, and the people suffer.

Yep. Remember the times in history when the king FOUGHT IN THE WAR IN COMBAT?

I vote for COMMA--LAHHH to be the next Boadicea.

Most did in the Middle Ages became they would be captured alive for the ransom. Before that, maybe Alexander the Great.
Monarchs fighting as the general was incredibly common in the Hellenistic period. Pretty much any Greek and later Roman who wanted to emulate Alexander led their armies in a similar way to him. Of course, no man was like Alexander, so it naturally led to a lot of premature, avoidable deaths.

Guess he's not such hot shit when his enemy isn't dune coons.

Probably didn't have proper OpSec and was tracked by phone. Or crossed paths with a Russian spy. Or the Russians are lying and he just got hit by artillery/bombs/crossfire. Could be anything. Sightseers disappeared under mysterious circumstances all the time in the Syrian Civil War. This is no different.

The main reason the Ukrainians are able to make a stand is because they know the area. Even then, I'm sure the current casualty rate is horrific because civilians are standing ground instead of disappearing like the VC or Taliban would.
Yup, fighting on your home ground can be highly motivating.

@A_Callow_Youth - you make good points. Russia prepared for a different sort of war than they are fighting now. Happens more often than most think. Still believe a great deal of the money intended for weapons, trucks, ammo, fuel, and supplies disappeared into various pockets. Bet we'd be surprised to see Russian war reserve stockpiles. Suggest those stockpiles may be meager at best.

I would laugh my ass off if some of them sold them to Russians only for the Russians to come back and kill them with them
Even more ironic(and probable) is that the Russians would end up selling them back to the Ukrainians. I know in the Chechen wars that some Russian posts would bribe local groups with guns and ammo so their base wouldn't get hit.
