General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Basically we had to travel back in time to the Coco Taiwan drama.
Fubuki was a big in china and when Coco and Hachamma was suspended during the whole Taiwan thing. There was no holo members mentioning her but Fubuki tweeted about her and also stood up for her and welcomed her back
That convinced most of the chinks that she was against them. A translation group that did her clips broke up The antis went against her and she lost a considerable amount of her SC base and chinese sponsors from it.
They were spreading cope that Aqua and FBK was their champion and hate Coco guts for shitting on their "one country" bullshit, so when FBK tweet about welcoming Coco back from her suspension and that she want to eat takoyaki at Holo House, they were absolutely malding. So much so that they nuke their clipping channel on YT and Bili2 and wear Hololive cosplay to sad-jerk.
Anyone still got that pic? The one where a bunch of Ching cosplay as FBK and Aqua and play Mahjong. That shit was so funny.

Don't forget that the chinks use Fubuki in their narrative. They said that Cover had a meeting about the incident and Fubuki was mad at Coco in the said meeting.
The narrative was happened before Fubuki's tweet.

Can't believe Coco's Taiwan Incident and the resulting fallout of it is considered old history now...
So many leddit new face ask who's the horned orange girl when she pop up in arts and memes, and even some Kson newfags doesn't realize the connection. I feel so old rn. Still, it just go to show that the sub-culture is still growing.

It's actually insane to think that Coco only graduated 8 months ago it feel's like a lifetime.

I'm hearing "star witness... Trump's first impeachment..."
It's a news report, but it sounds like AM radio. There has to be some interference coming through or something, but I have absolutely no idea how that's possible. It could be that she has it on in the background but that strikes me as something she would obviously know to turn off before streaming.

@The One And Only SALTE
We are actually in agreement, as I said that most of her content was just streaming, and not the music that initially boosted her. Also, being well known doesn't mean that people dislike you any less. In fact I would say that the more popular you are, the easier it is for more people to hate on you for whatever reason. I was giving reasons for the continued cycle of posting about Mori and the Chicken and why first impressions kind of do matter. Unless you are Ame, in which case you memoryhole the debut stream and continue as if the second stream was your first one.
It's too difficult to hear. Instead of "star witness" and "Trump's impeachment" you could also hear it as "start of week... from his first impeachment"

EDIT: Actually turning up the volume with headphones on it is about Trump.

"... It is the star witness in President Trump's first impeachment ...[FAUNA NOISE]... is suing Trump's closest friend(s), Rudy Giuliani ..."

There seems to be an increase in anti-Vtuber sentiment right after VShojo's appearance in the game show and Quin69's comments while reacting to said game show.

This Quin69 guy has been against Vtubers for a while now, so it doesn't come as a surprise that he would react this way, I'm more concerned about trolls latching on to this and shitposting in Vtuber chats especially since Vtubers have been pushed into the general Twitch viewers' perceptions following them having their own category for the streamer awards and being invited to big Twitch events/streams.

I found the pic but tranny decide to shit my bed again and I can't attach it to this post. Shame. We could all laugh and relive the moment together otherwise.
Upload it to https://anonfiles.com/ and share.vel

From reddit: To be more clear, this is actually a picture of people who were in Chinese translation groups, but they're not necessarily antis. The story I heard is that the heads of various translation groups (e.g. HLM) used the Coco incident to air their own grievances about "not being appreciated" by Cover, and essentially banned all group translation activities, and commandeered the girls' official Bilibili accounts. However, the people actually in those translation groups may not have agreed with those decisions, or with spambotting Coco (indeed, I think many people in the Chinese community, even those that are firmly nationalist and anti-Coco, think the spambots are going too far). Lacking anything else to do, some of these out-of-work translators arranged a crossdressing party.

Fuck, I remember those pics just now. Those are faggots, apparently they have an orgy or record a sex tape afterwards or something. It was so gay I memory-holed 'til you brought that up
That sounds like a gas. Having a gay cosplay orgy to own the capitalist pigs.

Remember when the graduation stream happened, the site was having a huge connection trouble (DDOS or something) and yet miraculously we were able to get together here? It was legendary...
Jersh took pity on us that day.

Kinda already happened to Ironmouse as she had a bit of an uptick in hate comments on her own stream since than.

Hasn't affected YouTube since Twitch drama like this tends to stay in its own bubble. Quin in himself is basically a joke and lots of people don't like him. The guy is notorious for being toxic and stupid and became a huge meme in the FFXIV community for being both those things and sucking hard at the game because he skipped 60 levels of content.

What's stirring more hate is other Twitch Streamers reacting and giving their own opinions on the matter, most notable is Xqc who says he agrees with Quin's takes (which rubbed people the wrong way because he's interacted with Ironmouse before) but thinks people should just do as they like and Asmongold who went with a more neutral take saying he's fine with it but finds lolitubers weird.

I should note though that ever since Ironmouse's "response" theirs been a pushback against the hate because trash talking a terminally ill bedridden person who uses Vtubing as a way to escape her shitty life situation isn't exactly in good taste.
