General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I don't disagree, but then I have to ask what the point is of being a VTuber at all? Not to make this too philosophical but the pink haired anime girl avatar does need to add something to the experience to make it worthwhile, in my view. Calli, to me, always comes across as treating that part as an afterthought. She puts an almost negative amount of effort into working with the model to create character. The eyes are always wildly flaying around, movement of the body is jerky and oftentimes she just moves out of range of the tracking software completely stopping the animation in its tracks. I know how petty this might sound but all of the VTubers I do like manage to work with the limitations of the Live2D to create a somewhat immersive experience, which I think is kind of the point of the whole thing. Karen just being Karen feels like a complete misunderstanding (and frankly disdain) of the medium.

Having said that, I do enjoy the Jump King streams because those are just banter podcasts and the guests are PNGs anyway. The visual component is not necessary.
Highly disagree.

Of all members in Holomyth, Calli seems to make the most use of her model's expressions. She's taken almost every opportunity during streams to switch to sad/angry/blushing/wide-eyed expression when appropriate (sometimes forgetting to change it back), and does gestures like moving side to side, bobbing her head, or turning to certain angles. I think only Ina and Kiara do this almost as frequently.

It's funny that Feesh has been one to actually save big collabs when they were falling apart and it's been one of her quiet strongpoints, especially before the guys showed up, but when it comes to her own big event it falls apart.

Rosemi's in the corner smugly realizing Rosemi Night Live wasn't so bad after all.

Question for those that actually watched all the TTRPG streams.
Did the myth girls sound like they were enjoying themselves?

I only watched the character creation stream and a few dozen clips and just from those clips it seems like only Ina was really into it. Of course clips don't tell the whole story so I really don't know.
As someone that did watch them all. It's hard to say, while you could argue all of them bar Cali was into it, they all had their moments of genuine interest, for example for each:

Kiara: Would constantly ask questions and have the game mechanics always in mind, which was rather nice. But the character she made up was well... A bit shit really.

Ina: Seemed to be interested most the time, and always seemed to remember what happened last EP. But had her moments when she rather just sit back and not say much.

Ame: When she had the spotlight and it was her moment, she was quite into it and enjoyed playing the goofy character. But many time she only get involved she was directly spoken too. (We know she not the best at collabs overall anyway)

Gura: I would say had some of the very best moments, she would always come up with the most bizarre ways and looked like she was enjoying it. But I think she just honestly enjoyed having the gang all in one place rather than the game itself.

All it all, it was alright TTRPG. Was it perfect? No far from it, but it had that charm, so if it was them 6 EPs then so be it. I'm very grateful for it happening in the first place as we witnessed a massive memory in the making (the massively scuffed EP). When all went wrong they still made it through together...

Do NijiEN don't have any managers or something? Shouldn't a manager also have the ability to whitelist people?
I had Vox open because he started streaming before Pomu and they were chatting. Wasn't listening too closely but I think I heard them say that Finana set it up. It might be outside of management.
This kind of reminds me of the fact the Nijisanji JP Minecraft server was originally paid for out of Dola's pocket for hosting & administrative duties. I think management only took over after it became too much of a hassle. I don't find this a negative thing, I just hope minecraft spergs don't sperg out if Finana decides to go into creative for whatever reason.

Fucking hell. Watching 10 people drop into a totally new Minecraft server at the same time with varying degrees of experience gave me whiplash.

It's like watching the pre-shitshow/early Achievement Hunter LPs except the women are funny. They spawned in a really cool part of the map, too.

I cannot believe she hasn't made a second episode of that yet. RNL was so surreal. She just needs to double down on it.

LOL it feels like the Myth TTRPG has been abandoned but she's starting one up with TT now? Oh well, I guess it will probably be easier for them to organize and run it since they are all in the same location.

Also the comments on that are exceptional. So much *wink wink nudge nudge* hey Calli and DDK should collab they are really similar *aren't I smart guys?!* And blaming hololive for all DDK woes because of course she can't be responsible for any of her problems herself and it is them that are hindering her.
I doubt it is gonna be a series with these three idiots. Though I do hope Myth TTRPG gets put to rest soon.
And you are completely right that doxxbeats are bunch of idiot yes men.
Karen doing more stuff as demondice is probably going to be a neat positive for both mori and dd, while a schizo part of me wants to go head first into the "shes planning on leaving hololive to make it on her own" rrat , that isn't the case.
Her being able to be more open and free as DD will hopefully help her not be retarded as mori , and as much disdain as i have anitubers , its clear she's friends with the trash taste guys and if they were just using her for views she'd guest alot more. Hopefully if she can build up a bigger presence as demondice she can feel more comfortable as mori and make better content all around.
I think her doing these e-celeb collabs as DDK is probably for the best and keep that on that side.

Not sure if clock worthy late (too much Calli doomposting guys) but Cover posted the official stream schedule of the Holo Expo starting in two days:

How are they singing karaoke if they are not at the same place?

By far the biggest question, why the fuck was pippa there.

They apparently found out how to get around latency, by having one person record and syncing everything to that person.

I'm starting to see the difference between Pippa and Yuni.
Pippa is the schizosoid, hyper retarded Vtuber
While Yuni is the basic bitch vtuber.

She is scared of being canceled as an indie if she revealed her full powerlevel.
Also Twitch is pretty quick to do virtue signal bans for wrongthinkers.
I wonder how Zax-kun handle her. I thought him and her will live on that bus converting to RV thing and travel around.
With inflation hit, I guess they scrap that plan.

This wouldn't get interrupted by the recent earthquake, right? I don't know where the Expo is being held physically.
