Maybe he is just overcompensating for his families political party (The SPD) for being so pro-Russia. They expanded gas-pipelines with Russia, were Anti-nuclear so Russia could sell more oil, and kept German military below NATO demands.

I recently watched the lemmino video about Jack the ripper, and found this guy giving his reaction in 3!!! parts. What I thought would just a pure cash grab was splitted for a reason and the details he added (apparently this youtube historian wrote about Jack the ripper as well) kept me from skipping his commentaries ( that's really fucking rare) for me)
This is part one of his reaction I'd say give it a go because he does provide value on to the original Lemmino Video.
He also seemed to have done videos of visiting former battle sites from the American Civil War as well as the first world War where he visited Europe's former battlefields.

Sperging about whatifalthist because not enough people talks about him:
He explains everything through sociology, ideology and philosophy and believes all of history follows a cyclical development affecting economy and culture. Is a slightly conservative, moderately libertarian, globalist capitalist. He views traditional religion of any kind as good, due to its practical effects.
Used to be one of the few persons I truly considered an independent thinker. Some of his more wacky views include:
Personally I can only confirm that his explaining mesopotamian civilisaiton video is accurate and he brings up some points that are often left out when mentioning Sumer, like the status of women and city councils. Though the last part of the vid falls into a trap he is doing more and more: armchair sociologically inventing a systematic explanation where none is.
His videos have become a bit more biased but still puts out some good content if you swallow the facts about economic history and spits out his obvious opinions and attempts at hamfisting historic events to our present.
Now,

His twitter used to be an endless stream of pretty interesting questions on niche historical topics and equally interesting and mostly grounded, neutral comments about modern pop culture.
But he has increasingly begun spouting baseless statements as facts and fishing for replies from "certain" groups.
Last tweet contradicts his himself just a few months earlier.
This mirrors his videos which as mentioned have become a bit more biased.
And now he is to have a debate with Vaush
Whatifalthist strikes me as the guy that will implode when given too much influx. Predict he will quickly move into alt-right, anti-sjw territory after gaining a wave of both fans and critics and become extremely obnoxious. Whatifalthist could be REALLY good at that.
He also streams now and then, heightening the chance of him spilling some autism.

Is a slightly conservative, moderately libertarian, globalist capitalist. He views traditional religion of any kind as good, due to its practical effects.

It certainly looks like he is sliding into anti-SJW grift based on these tweets and his plans to debate Vaush. Someone willing to scrutinize his imagery could even come to conclusion that he is an alt-right sympathizer or a kaiserboo, considering that WhatIfAltHist likes to use the iron cross as a symbol for Germany - even for the modern day state. Other nations do not get that treatment. That alone would give Vaush some ammunition to start the debate with. Rudy can't even proofread his wall of text slides, so I doubt he will be capable of catching Vaush's debate tactics and dealing with them appropriately. Attacking numerous factual errors in Rudy's videos is easy too. I wonder if the debate is still happening, considering that tweets about it are from nearly a month ago. Perhaps it was postponed because of the conflict in Ukraine. I could not find any official information on the debate other than twitter exchanges from February.
