I hate that the western Vtuber scene is represented by fucking Vshojo, it gives the entire industry a bad name and makes normies and new indies get stupid ideas about what Vtubing is or could be.

Honestly, I'm not sure why the go-to is "Lul they're probably just obese fat men!" as if a voice changer is a magical device that will make you sound completely different. Hell, people can often tell when someone is using or overusing a voice changer. If some obese guy can convincing sound like an uwu anime girl that's pretty impressive. It actually takes training or some level of practice and skill to do.

not to mention if you really wanted to know, a lot of vtubers are at the least conventionally attractive and would pass as your regular run-of-the-mill female streamer on twitch. I don't see how being a vtuber is "low effort" or bad to appeal to weebs 'cause every twitch streamer has their niche and for vtubers, probably because they aren't just a pretty face or conventionally attractive person, you really have to like their personalities and content to actually enjoy them.

Ames is just going through her /vt/ thread on her stream because that's a sensible thing to do. This whole thing is an absolute trainwreck but I can't stop watching even though I know she's definitely getting off on all the extra attention she's getting despite lacking a proper model now.

In the few minutes I've watched so far she's just been bickering back and forth with her thread there while also talking about how she hates how "fake" Hololive is and the spending almost a minute shouting about Taiwan. I'm morbidly curious what her "normal" streams are like but her personality hasn't really struck me as anything special other than that she's peepee poopoo like Nyanners but unironically.

Kinda surprised she hasn't looked at our thread yet.

This, and it makes it worse that the western fanbase see the idol culture (and therefore hololive) as the boogieman and the menace of "freedom" and "true vtubing". Call me lunatic, but at this rate we are gonna lose bit by bit the holoEN way of making content, that has been very enjoyable to this day & shares this vibes holoJP has.

Case in point, some anon just taught her how to hide posts so she just insta hides anything with nigger. Even taught her how to switch to dark theme.

If someone posts a link to here at her /vt/ thread she'll probably end up here. She's already threadwatching her reddit and /vt/ threads I'm sure she'll enjoy adding one more.

My favorite argument will forever be "Vtuber is parasocial bullshit and they feed on lonely men with deep wallets" as if Twitch thots and Twitch bros don't already do that

You can tell she wants attention but was disappointed she found more posts about the evil Holo EN having fun rather than her. Oh well now she's getting her attention.

Someone in the previous /vt/ thread said she did 3D brap videos but I have no idea where/if those videos still exist and I'm not nearly invested enough to hunt them down. The toothbrush shit was cursed enough.
