Power Level time, but I knew a tranny around that time that was going along with Noben's stuff way prior to 2017. Probably around 2007 or so. There already was a first-wave tranny movement in furry before then with the likes of Trickster or Ashtoreth, and they were definitely putting their feelers out. Noben seemed like the first one that kicked off the second-wave. That Ashtoreth person had a considerable amount of art, dating back to the early 90s, with the bimbo archetype that can be traced even to the Daves of today.

Interesting, I am not very well versed with Noben and what he does or the other people you have mentioned. But that does make sense really, things like this do not occur over a month or a year. Usually, its several years of letting dregs manifest themselves around other social losers before it breaks out to the normal end of the fandom. Considering the gay origins of furries, it was only a matter of time


With Kraken, I do wonder what his mates think of him now? I.e IRL friends or people who formerly talked to him. I ask this mainly because there was a lot of mention of how he was a pretty sociable guy before graduating from college and becoming a social recluse like most autists.

There has always been a tranny subculture, but until 2014-2016 or so it was fairly limited and self-contained. Noben trooned out pre-2010, and while he might have been a reasonably well-known name within the tranny "community" at the time, among furries back then he was mostly just yet another furry artist with a Keenspot account. Remember, back then you still had controversies over people being very vocal about not liking dickgirls so it's not like the furry fandom was all that friendly to trannies before every dogfucker and their prolapsed dog became one.

AFAIK, while Noben wasn't a recluse he has never been all that sociable. So I think it's a bad idea to just assume he was the one who started the grooming when so many other furries started trooning out right around the time Dave Sr. did, and Dave himself already had signs of being into transformation and other tranny-adjacent kinks. Chances are he groomed himself.

I wouldn't. I'd go mad if I lived the life of a human being until I was a "coombrain furry cyborg", and continued to live in human surroundings where such things otherwise do not exist. If it were only temporary I'd have to assume that I had a psychotic episode, and I would spend the rest of my life in worry that I'll break again. I'd do everything to avoid themes that were related to the event, obviously my mind wasn't strong enough to survive a whiff of that.

And that answer is fine. No answer is really meaningful. Or at least not meaningful in the way Dave and trans-evangelists insist. It may reflect your ideals, values, interests, and preferences, but you saying nope doesn't mean you're cis any more than someone saying yes means they're trans. Someone thinking about what it would be like to be their D&D character doesn't mean they're a hobbit trapped in a human body.
