Yugo's safe and now talking about Japan's training/safety protocols during disasters like earthquakes and the like.
It's pretty informative.
Yugo announced he is taking a one week hiatus as a result of criticism for his handling of the earthquake stream.

I was extremely vexed by this so I had to do some Yugo egosurfing to figure out what people were saying. It seems some Japanese didn't like the fact that Yugo's tone wasn't serious enough, and that he was laughing at some things chat was saying (even though none of it pertained to the earthquake).

Others, however, have criticised the critics, stating that Yugo translating swathes of information into English has invaluably helped/saved/prepared Japan-based foreign nationals who are not accustomed to natural disasters and didn't grow up with mitigation training.

Overall, though, there wasn't exactly a 'backlash'. None of the comments I read on either side were malignant, and there wasn't all that many of them.
Rura, was it a good stream? Yugo can't catch a break. Scuttle, I looked everywhere, like 3 places, and couldn't find this info - curious where you get it?
Unsure if they've been brought up here before but if you guys like the holoDuck and wanna see full series translations (split into chapters)
I highly recommend Taiyou Budikara

They did a bit of Subaru's Assassin's Creed gameplay and are currently finishing up their full Detroit series and Undertale series before retiring from translating.
I don't see dedicated Subaru clippers that much and full-stream translators in general so it's pretty neat to be able to understand side commentary for once.
Other then gundamfinal this is a hero duck clipper. The context is that Subaru is still a novice gamer playing Detriot and so emotionally invested, this is 2020 peak content.

Also Kson is doing marshmallows with the bride to be, her artist mom is getting married, bringing us one step closer to Kanata talking with Gaki.

Sleepy reapy is live with a breakdancing deadbeat and three big announcements.

Numbero Uno: New song and MV on Monday.

Untitled2.png

Numero Dos: Her birthday is a 3D concert with guest performances. Will also have multiple big lifechanging announcements to make during it. Her biggest announcement of her career.
(Also says that everyone has 3D access now, so expect others to do 3D events on their own, not just her.)

Numero Tres: First full length album (UnAlive) on March 21st. Predictable. Also hinting towards a physical release after the digital.
Multiple songs will get MVs, but only UnAlive at launch.

Giving a short preview of Dead on Arrival by Camellia. Probably the most DemonDice song she's ever put out as Calli.

I guess the VOD is gone (couldn't finde it), has someone a link to an archive? Sure, I'm not affected by the earthquake but the reactions (all of them) seem over top. I would like to look into it myself.

Little menhera update: Seems like not-Rushia had a little meltdown. The whole conversation wasn't completely archived so the part about the "lie" is missing. But I guess it doesn't matter, because she misunderstood and the story wasn't about her at all. I put the deepl translation directly in the screenshots for better understanding (archive for pic 1 2 3 4)

Gotta say. Three months in and this year has already given us wonderful gifts incidents of people doing dumb things. This year is truly exceptional. With that said, it never ceases to amaze me how something stupid and dumb could be easily preventable... if they were decent people anyway. I haven't been watching Vtubers for almost a year now and I'm out of touch with news (and drama) going on around the sphere most of time. That's why I always browse this thread when I have the time. You could say that this thread is my lifeline for Vtuber news these days.

Why is it that when we find something fun and enjoyable, it inevitably gets hijacked by a bunch of rotten, fly-ridden fruit? I suppose this is what happens when you give socially inept, mentally handicapped, and emotionally immature people a platform to speak what's on their mind (or what's left of it) and establish their presence. Why can't we just enjoy things without all these petty slapfights and yabs? Though I'm pretty sure the answer is already written on the walls: it's just human nature.

Aside from the drama, it's nice to hear good news and more insights towards different aspects of Vtubing and the personalities behind them. I suppose Vtubing has cemented itself as a new form of entertainment and provided a stage for people who can display varying degrees of talent and depravity, unfortunately. Vtubers are both a blessing and a curse in a world already filled with rife. And it's nice to watch and listen to some guy or girl (or troon, if you will) talking about things, playing games, singing songs, and drawing art without having to worry about... all the things that have already been jinxed. Like politics and schizophrenics.

May Vtubing endure and prosper for many years to come.

I wonder if the upcoming holo expo & fes play some role triggering her meltdown, including the deleted previous "going back in time".

So to cleanse the mind and sooth the soul here are my fav clips today
Translation for much of the Lui Fubuki Visage playthru I linked
Outlast had "Chapter 1...?" Then this - "Has it been one hour yet?" Poor bird. In reply to your earlier post, Lui was supposed to have a heart rate monitor for Outlast but it broke.

Ouch. No good deed goes unpunished, so the saying goes.

Mysta's doing a karaoke stream in celebration of 300k, and from the looks of it might reach 400k on stream by total accident.

He's not much of a singer at all and doesn't seem to be trying too hard to (honestly some of the worse singing I've ever heard), but hearing him butcher Japanese with his horribly thick cockney accent is somewhat entertaining.

With Kanata in quarantine it was easy to see how much work the talents do for future projects. Wonder how much Rushia work went down the drain... Buy her nendriod to remind yourself that self care is important and most things really aren't that serious. Rushia - a modern parable.

Holofes is gonna have an actual phyisical expo, right? Disregard if not but i wonder if they had to rework some of the branding to scrub away rushia, iirc its already coming close to the timeframe that they were gonna shoah her channel fully

I wonder if some lucky staff member can finesse the rushia merch they were gonna sell there (if they produced any) and then move it on the black market kek
