It's unfortunate but it is what it is.Man, that's such shit... tries to do something useful and unique, and gets hammered down.
Having to take off a week, so soon after debut, may not be good for growth. Hopefully not a big impact though, because the NijiEN guys do well in general.
I don't think it'll affect him too much. Yugo is similar to Mysta in that he has a huge, near impenetrable wall of people who baby him no matter what he does, so he has the momentum to burn.
As I said, there were a lot of Japanese who called the criticism 'short sighted' because Yugo was helping foreigners and was working extra hard to translate precautions immediately after the earthquake (which would have been from midnight onwards).
Some are saying that, because Yugo is a Japanese in birth only and not culture (as he lived abroad for most his life, I think), he overreacted to something they already know how to deal with, but I find that really mean-spirited and borderline xenophobic. Most of the criticisms feel like they're coming from people who've taken a hit to their pride by someone making a fuss about it.
All in all, though, there wasn't really that much of a controversy. People criticised on the video, he privated it, and then it barely bled onto twitter. The punishment seems self-imposed, which, unfortunately, seems about right for someone who beats himself up over little things.
According to the Liquipedia, Kuzuha's team is confirmed to have a coach (Uruca).According to the live TL on her stream, there will not be coaches for this tournament for any teams. Not sure if that is accurate or not but that's what Just Sam said.
