It just seems like Putin was certain Zelenskyy would flee in panic, and Viktor Yanukovych would be placed in office. Whoever planned this was stricken with some confirmation bias virus. It seems a very dubious way to go about de-Nazifying or demilitarising. It was another Putin grab a bite war scaled up quite a bit. Whenever some face saving deal is concluded, the Ukrainians will likely arm themselves to the teeth. And no Western powers will stand in their way, and I honestly doubt Putin will go for a re-run. Russia might not have much after spending on their extraordinarily expensive nuclear forces. They are roughly the 4th largest defence spender and yet they cannot muster a single bit of that. The only striking thing they've managed are some effective missile strikes. It's pretty obvious that, unless the entire Russian armed forces is a scam like the Afghanistan Army was, they never intended to fight the war everybody else accuses them of wanting to fight. Might even be possible they're telling the truth about their war goals ('disarmament and denaziing' Ukraine, which implies some kind of negotiated settlement, not conquering the place with under 200,000 of their least impressive troops)
They went in very light and so far the worst war crimes the West can pin on them are the usual fuckups that happen in any war, shells going astray and enemy fighters mixing with civilians. There's been no attempt to flatten cities or destroy infrastructure, even tho they have strategic bombers and arty capable of doing that. Most of the heavy fighting seems to be local militia and Chechens. They've continued to talk to the Ukies, unconditional surrender isn't one of their demands.
They've definitely made a lot of dumb mistakes and it looks like corruption/neglect in their armed forces is a serious problem for them. And they probably also underestimated how much Ukies fucking hate them. But unless their secret plan was to annex the whole of Ukraine - which makes no sense, even by paranoid dictator standards - there's no plausible way they can lose militarily now. Unless Nato invades, or the Russian troops all steal Ukrainian ammo to shoot themselves with, or there's a coup in Moscow.
They can definitely lose economically, and the sanctions will hurt them bad. But they're also hurting Europe, and to a lesser extent the US. The global economy is incredibly fragile now, idk how many trillion dollar stimulus bills Congress can pull out of its ass before the dollar goes the way of every single debased currency in history. There's a cost of living crisis in the West that isn't magically going to go away. Europe can't get off Russian hydrocarbons overnight, that will take several years at best. Meantime, rampaging inflation and high fuel prices are hurting everybody except bankers and oil execs.
Seems shortsighted to write off the Pajeets and Chinks. They're the most populous countries in the world, rapidly developing, and hungry for cheap energy sources. As a gas station with its own government, Russia can do good business there. Pajeet and Chong are also smart enough to stay out of retarded European wars (may not be smart enough to stay out of retarded Asian wars tho, we'll see).
Picture, if you will, a situation so fucked up that everyone loses, except the assholes who caused the situation.

We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.
Yuri Gagarin has been dead for over 50 years in case you're wondering.

Because why even make an effort to pretend to keep the moral high ground? Fucking idiots. We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.

For context, an annual space symposium named "Yuri's Night" was renamed "A Celebration of Space."We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.

Ukranians need Chechen War energy and maybe tactics, then.My general view here is that the Russian Federation can win this war, but they're going to have to flatten Ukraine to do it. I suspect that Vladimir Putin might be willing to do precisely that.
I am starting to think the Ukrainians are all just Tranny lovers. God knows they have enough of them E-begging on OnlyFans or worse, creating PornHub accounts.russian penis came off
Funny enough the training level in Call of Duty 2 involved shooting helmets off a wooden pole...
>TFW you totally support Communism....but not those First In Space Commies! We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.

They also increased their exports to Germany despite sanctions and the crumbling value of the ruble.Pretty sure he meant to China and India. There are already reports Russia is willing to sell resources and commodities to them at "discount prices", and with non-hard currency like Yuan and Rupees as well
I dont think we're that close. Most of this stuff targeted towards Russian identity, not economy or government, is performative. It shows that the rich and "smart" are disconnected from reality and place value on dumb shit, not much else.We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.

Why not just go all the way & have his name scrubbed from history books & just delete Russia off the world map & pretend there is no Russia? We are seriously getting this close to pulling a World War 2 Internment Camp and putting all people of Russian blood into camps.

India's hot take? Really?Interesting view of the Indian perspective in all this.

It's more about how it does not bode well for our society that the television can tell us who to hate and we immediately and uncritically comply. These are events halfway around the world that would have no effect on our lives but for our reaction to them. For context, an annual space symposium named "Yuri's Night" was renamed "A Celebration of Space."
That's... literally it. Less than nothing. How will Russia ever recover from this?
Chechnya mk II then. I don't know if they have the resources to secure it. It took them about a decade of occupation put down the insurgency there even after they flattened everything. Ukraine has a substantially more people than the Caucuses. Even if the flattening removed half the population you still have to deal with the remaining 20 million. My general view here is that the Russian Federation can win this war, but they're going to have to flatten Ukraine to do it. I suspect that Vladimir Putin might be willing to do precisely that.
I get my estrogen from a granny tranny in KievI am starting to think the Ukrainians are all just Tranny lovers.
It actually helps to put it in perspective. Let's take the Ka-52 for example. Just one costs about $29-32 million. An Igla costs about $60,000. That is a large disparity in cost but if an Igla kills a Ka-52 there is still a waste of $60,000. But if one Ka-52 crashes on its own (which has happened) the Russians lose a $29-32 million dollar helicopter for no cost to the Ukrainians. Now think the same for the tanks.Interesting video I watched pointed out one of the major issues with the Russian military. They spend a large amount of their military budget on "Wunderwaffe" projects. Shit like hypersonic missiles, the T-14, the SU-57 and SU-75, and their Satan-2 ICBM program. Instead of pouring their R&D budget into projects they can actually afford to put into service to replace their aging aircraft and tanks, they pour it into projects designed to spook the West, but at the end of day can't actually be fielded in strategically significant numbers. Sure the U.S. also pours a lot into stupid expensive projects, but they can actually afford to field those stupid expensive vehicles fully.
Do not forget that, while the rebel groups have been gutted, there still is terrorist groups operating and causing problems.Chechnya mk II then. I don't know if they have the resources to secure it. It took them about a decade of occupation put down the insurgency there even after they flattened everything. Ukraine has a substantially more people than the Caucuses. Even if the flattening removed half the population you still have to deal with the remaining 20 million.
We have seen this type of "mission accomplished" thinking before.
If mass media and Internet didn't exist most people would be saying wtf is a Ukarine and when the fuck did we get involved for it to be our problem? It's more about how it does not bode well for our society that the television can tell us who to hate and we immediately and uncritically comply.
