Probably be joining you on that train this time round. I think last years one was either earlier/later as I remember staying up to watch it. This year Holofes comes out like 7AM for me but being an adult means I have to do responsible adult things first. I'll attempt to not check the farms/twitter/leddit before I watch it as I know there will be endless screenshots everywhere and no doubt they always do something "special" at the end and I rather be "surprised" by it first. Oh well, such is life.

Surprisingly good idea. Ollie does the best old school vtuber stuff. Did they take down her video of her listing Fibonacci numbers for half an hour? Can't find it. The π one she did on stream is there, but not the other one. It was weirdly horrifying.

Anyway—

Not pictured above: Haachama transforming her lack of confidence in understanding Ollie's question into a brief surge of confidence in telling Ollie to join her and do things. Very touching.

Yea as Calli, but then not too long ago on DDK channel she released not 1 but 4 "vent" songs about how much being a famous streamer sucks with lyrics spelling out how she's not feeling grateful as of late, find her fans pathetic and actually fears that Calli stuff might be her legacy among other things "One thing, always one thing I'll always keep Wanting, wanting more". I don't want to say she's actually a total bitch or something but it seems like she have many conflicting feelings and is afraid of speaking openly about the negative ones also just things that might upset her fanbase (schizos like me in particular).

Anyway it feels like this time she's pretty openly asking fans to RRAT about her lyrics, even pointing out which songs will be particularly RRAT heavy but she will never do a deep dive about them -makes me think they will echo SUGH to some extent and/or foreshadow something she can't really talk about on hololive channels because it's all roommate shit. I can see her wanting to become one of those e-celebs and failing due to crippling autism but this TT RPG session with TT might be a sign of things to come, sadly.

Iirc Lulu and Eira from Nijisanji both had decent numbers on their post graduation endeavuours, they arent as full dick on it as Kson is or as succesful, but they def kept some of them numbers without the corpo oversight

Depends on how you define success

Rushia and Aloe are still doing good for themselves, despite their frequent menhere episodes
Gibara and Lulu are also doing decent.

If by "success" you mean someone who is still in the Western market's public perception, KSon is a bit of a special case because 1. She can speak English and 2. Anyone with half a brain would instantly orbit themselves around a former Holo and most superchatted Youtuber for the chance to get some of that clout

Lot's of people think she will stream less but I am going to say she is going to stream more and do live music with IRL people. This would be more genre breaking.

TLDW: The main takeaway in this context is Matsuri basically being worried about being disliked by her friends and colleagues and Mio saying "the cards" say that she underestimates how they actually view her and that they all care about her a lot. But the video is worth watching though.

Agreed. If the others are being coached then people might want to start immediately tempering their expectations towards 'They'll do their best but they're playing to have fun'. Aqua says she trusts Towa to lead, so she will be playing under Towa.

Aqua has also said this may very well be her first and last tournament, so make of the whole thing what you will. To me, I think some coaching could have at least put Suisei and Aqua in the right mindset.

Unfortunately, there IS precedent for this. As you may recall, Matsuri mentioned after a previous V-Saikyo that the Hololive members were only allowed to play with other women after Cover stepped in directly. At the end of the last scrim, Hal tends to host an 'After Party' where they play custom APEX games and jumble the squads. The ONLY team that has featured men with Hololive in this tournament was Astel playing with Roboco and Choco. This includes the After Party matchups.

I guess we'll see how the coach aspect develops, but my gut instinct is telling me that the higher ups definitely don't want Aqua and Suisei interacting with cock possessors. It's just a very weird thing for Aqua to come in on her first ever tournament and determine that it'll somehow be better for them if they don't get coached by a pro when all of their opponents (possibly) are.

Imma watch the Aqua team with a similar mindset that one would have for the teams that only had 14 or 15 points- like the sunflower. If they win one game I'll be psyched and the clips of the tournament will be great content.
