Honestly, It is amazing that a company that should have died years ago with their own failings ended up buys a company that did just die because of its failings
Like it's a wonder that Sony are still around given all the shit they've pulled. Sure it's nothing like Funimation and its "woke culture" and degeneration regarding its stable of voice actors. But on a purely business level, Sony's fucked up big in almost all their sectors, and the fact that they decided to merge these two companies together only means they'll fuck up more since they still have Aniplex, and it'll only be a matter of time before Crunchy gets rolled into that (or vice-versa).
And to those talking about the voice actors being out of work, I will let you know that Funi's been pulling more and more from the LA voice pool in recent titles, and some even have New York and Canadian actors popping in for a stint. it's likely that this could continue given we're in the age of remote recording... presuming Crunchy or Sony are willing to pony up the cash to continue doing this.
