The Ukrainian head of the medical service says that the order has been given to castrate Russian POWs

That was primarily reported in Kiev, possibly some of the other frontline cities, and for Kiev in particular, they've had a good 3 weeks now to at least try and train them. Things have slowed down considerably from the first week, and (assuming that the leadership are not utterly exceptional, as always), they're going to be shifting from that improvised defense mindset to actually getting their shit together.

I hope that's the case. It's such a pointless waste of life otherwise. I still haven't seen evidence of their training campaign, though.

First, it's some sleepy burg where the Russians have no business bombing. You can see that because it is a slavic hovel the bathroom sink was installed so close to the kitchen counter that there is a round cutout on the left cabinet door so that it can open. The only thing they did was remove a section of countertop (notice the rag conveniently hiding the lack of splintered formica) and saw out a corner of the cabinet door. Hole in the ceiling and some debris on the floor and job's a good 'un.

I may be a blue an gold symbol of cryptocurrency, and as much as I'm on Ukraine's side here, the mutilation of POWs isn't very based.

Also, whenever possible ignore your emotions and don't do warcrimes. This is propaganda that can really motivate Russian conscripts from being an unwitting pawn, to being radicalized into an protector of the Russian people in their mind.

I guess it could also be somehow faked... deep fake propaganda is scary.
