You need to be a bit more skeptical about Russian media reporting. The Russian missile strikes were obviously targeted for morale purposes. They have been doing them the whole time. It's just that this time the spin put on it was "we totes wiped out battalions of redditors guise and huge stashes of weapons with our hyper-super-duper sonical death missiles of stronk".
My reporting wasn't from Russian sources but from the West. It's been in the news. I don't live in Russia.

Some good old fashion racism towards anything Russian or Russian like replace it with anything else these same assholes and cunts would be autistically screaming about it nonstop

This is a Russian Blue. How could anyone hate this character (altho breed cats are said to be highly strung and whatever)?

I know people are hyper focused on Azov but, VICE of all people, made a pretty good report going through and meeting some of the volunteer militias and they're ALL like Azov. Azov was just the one that got the spotlight. All of them though got integrated into the army because to be honest, at the time the militias were more of a proper army than their actual national army.

It is semi plausible (the Avoz Batt. seem to be far more dull civnats) as the Chechens are more for propaganda and janny duties.

Kamil elsewhere makes the point that that a Chechen grubby from actual combat, more lightly equipped for practical combat, like the mujahideen of Afghanistan, seems not to exist. Russian commanders fear using the Chechens in intense combat lest it either alienate Kadyrov or weaken the Kadyrovski who are a useful internal force for Putin. There have been some Chechen operations, but they seem very rare compared to the numbers raised.

Given how the Avoz Batt. are at the core of the Russian pretext, I expect every possible effort put by the Russians into taking it. The south has more of the railheads essential to Russian troop movement and deployment, so whether the best or just a lot the usual run of Russian troop, it would be very difficult for this Ukrainian force, plus the others there (there is a dismounted naval force which makes up most of the defenders) to survive. It will be deeply humiliating for the Russians if it doesn't fall. Kyiv is understandable given its sheer urban size and likely high number of defenders, and details like the deliberate flooding of the area where the Russians are massing, but Mariupul not falling would be beyond explanation even for the most avid pro RU copium huffers. Putin might even deploy the Chechens whose morale and equipment is good, although their rare and indifferent battlefield performance has to be noted.

Video from the tweet in question.

Whenever the media calls something "disinformation" it makes me think of a quote, supposedly from Bismarck.
"Never believe anything until it's officially denied."
That or when a story is played down by officials or made light of. "No, Obongo didn't drone strike a hospital killing innocents, he simply helped already sick people meet their God like the bi-racial angel he is!"

Found it, but thanks for the help.
I think the Russians have some claims as to armor losses which are utterly implausible. This list matches reports to footage, so while not perfect, and while double-counting might happen, it's the best there is between two sides who shamelessly and relentlessly lie.

The militias acquired actual experience in Donbass while the army itself had to survive Ukraine's deeply crooked political class, who have been as fearsome a foe of working institutions as any invader.
