If you dwell on the bad things you did, you end up becoming a worse person, so I try not to think about it too much. I couldn't have stopped it anyways, but I still think about how I needed to have an actual software company do it instead of freelancers on Fiverr.

True, but from what I can see giving Russia a (post hoc) justification is the least of the problems they caused for Ukraine. I'm more referring to the fact that instead of getting results, they're getting felted, the fact that they're using their own people as meat shields and, if I understood the situation in Mariupol' correctly, the fact that they're willing to drag said civilians down with them in a showdown with the Russians like direct-to-DVD action movie villains that have lost the fucking plot. I'm by no means a military expert, but I fail to see how that is beneficial to Ukraine's war effort.
