Which states the absurdity of the "throw down your arms and we'll let you go, totes honest!" promise from just about any invader. The city is pretty much fucked, but you have to feel for the people there.

Other reports have Russia bussing residents from Mairupol into Russia. Still looking for more verification on those, but it isn't like they haven't done that before. Guards units, VDV and Black Sea Marines (Naval Infantry)? This was the main thrust and, on paper, they were sending their best conventional formations. Also, this isn't news. They were identified over a week ago.

Also, Spetsnaz got stuck in an elevator. "How do you know they're stuck!" you ask? Well, they were dumb enough to get into an elevator. You never take an elevator because you can get trapped in it. You can always fall back up or down a stairwell.

That's completely ass backwards. The greatest threat to mechanized assets (Read, things with tracks.) are infantrymen in ambush equipped with weapons that pose a credible threat. When moving in a hostile or non-permissive environment, the infantry get out and screen the column. They are specifically there to trip over any ambushes and clear them out with things that can threaten other infantry. This is basic doctrine for everyone, US and Russians included. In all of these ambush videos that I've seen, the Ukrainians are hitting armored columns where there are no infantry or the infantry are still mounted in their transports.

Good to have you back. We've been having a lively off-and-on debate about how much of its military Russia can commit to this war before they start taking political and strategic risks and guessing at how bad things are going to look for them in a month. The British intel is matching what we've seen on the ground, Russia had a really bad 48 hours in the air sometime last week, and they appear to be in the process of shifting their approach, including a possible decision to start actually engaging in SEAD operations. Mariupol has allegedly received an ultimatum, if true then we may start seeing some real fireworks today.

I don't know if it is a false flag so much as panicky retards letting their imagination run wild. The area does a lot of agriculture. Anhydrous ammonia is a common fertilizer. Wouldn't be shocking if storage tanks were damaged and leaked during a war.
