I got a relocation-related injury on my knuckle and finger due to the severe change in weather that dried my skin so bad it cracked and cut itself, deeply. Nothing serious, just a few nights of mysterious sudden bleeding with a fairly normal healing profile for small cuts. Still, it's gross to look at. I've been watching it heal over the last few weeks, fascinated at the macroscopically visible repairing processes: the local inflammation, the cellular proliferation, the scabbing all of it. I just find it fascinating that the human body automatically repairs itself like this. Today it finally sealed up without much prodding from me, save for keeping it clean and pouring peroxide on it when I was bored.

However, in my darker moments I think to myself, 'this... this is what Kevin had done between his legs. He paid to have an SRS butcher do a bigger, deeper version of this to his genitals. He said to himself, 'fuck having an orgasm ever again, I want my crotch ventilated.'' And rather than letting nature run its course and have his own body repair itself (as best it can), he and countless other post-op troons instead chose to stuff those awful plastic rods in there to keep it from healing - when he can even be bothered to dilate of course.
