Containment Random Thoughts & Questions

Many places don't want patients watching the news. Especially with the way things are going right now. They don't want Chris to know that the merge is actually happening.

Honestly, this is the one thing I'm a bit jealous of Chris for. He doesn't have to see the world teetering on apocalypse.

Chris also cannot tell the difference between voices. It's a severe autism thing, combined with his tone deafness and hearing loss.

When you have somebody who can't tell apart voices and faces, it's not too hard to fool him.
Achscully, there's 2 versions, congenital and acquired. It's common with autist because autist lack social skills. Hence why so many have facial blindness. They can otherwise recognize other objects normally (square is square, Golden arches is McDonalds, etc). I think some studies say up to 41% have facial blindness to some degree. With the worst being unable to even recognize themselves. Which is why Chris always throws a hissy fit when depicted as ugly, or fat, or as his true self because he doesn't realize that's how he looks like. Plus him believing what he wants to believe doesn't help him either.

Oh yeah, there's also auditory blindness. The actual name of the condition I can't recall off the top of my head and it's fairly a new diagnosis being worked out. Chris may also suffer from that as well coupled with his hearing loss. It's also why Bluespike got away with so long with Julie.

I don't think it'd make much difference to Chris, he only cares about himself and if he was free he'd probally be saying dumb things like how the war in Ukraine is clearly all about him and the merge so everyone should be praying to him.

It's pretty unlikely Chris will be sent to a psychiatric hospital from my perspective. The hospitals are packed to the rafters with the dangerously criminally insane, schizophrenics, an hero attempters etc. Don't think they have room for the pride of Ruckersville. They usually put someone there to stabilize them on neuroleptic medication. Chris isn't taking any. My personal experience with the mental health system is they do everything they can to keep you out of it, those resources are expensive, a guy like Chris believe it or not would be considered fairly stable.

Isn’t he at one right now?

Unless you mean long-term sent to one. I agree he probably won’t be set up in a psychiatric hospital permanently. Because:

Interesting, was unaware of these new developments. Although it's speculation, we don't know for sure where he is. Could have tried to kill himself as already pointed out. In California the guys who are sent to the asylum are the ones that get placed in isolation in the psych ward and scream and bang on the doors and stuff, spit on and attack staff/patients etc. You have to be really psychotic, and even then they often throw them back out on the street. Virginia may be different, it's not as rough as here.

Wherever he is, he's not in another Jail as a transfer would have shown up on VINE. He's not home either. So that leaves very few options for where he might be.

And I agree that Chris is actually relatively stable and able to function in society somewhat. The best outcome for him is that he serves whatever sentence the court deems appropriate for his crime, then is sent to live in a group home or something like that where he'll have a wrangler to keep him out of serious trouble. Maybe if they even decide to give him actual treatment they'll be able to reform him into an actual member of society. :optimistic:

Is there a possibility that the court will make sure he actually undergoes treatment instead of throwing him out on the street due to the high profile nature of his crime and who he is? We may laugh at it, but Chris is indeed "famous on the internet" there might be some incentive to give his case more attention. All of this is assuming his charges aren't upgraded to rape of course, if they think he is a rapist I assume everyone involved will be much less sympathetic.

Interesting point, if they did this, how long before he would break and fall back into his old repertoire? With Chris's history of giving up after investing the minimum amount of effort into something I can't imagine he will last that long.

Don’t know if this has been asked yet but does anyone know if Chris is up to date with current events (most notably the whole Russia-Ukraine thing) and if so what does he think of it?

Doubt it, but does it matter? Even if he was aware of a conflict between 2 nations he has shown that he can't actually comprehend it, I doubt he can even point to Russia on a map. He will say something generic like: "stop fighting, it's bad!"

If he was paying attention to the news he would claim to have foreseen it and it is a sign the merge is happening. Might even claim Akan was behind it or that Putin had a bear Pokémon fighting for him.

Why did Chris stop caring about Family Guy? It used to be one of his favorite shows than he just gave up on it. We're the newer seasons so bad even he gave up on it or did he bail when he realized he would never hook up with Meg?

Chris has a habit of just losing interest in things without really any reason except for his major focal points (Sonic and Pokémon in the classic era, MLP in recent). He’s given up or at least got less interested in a bunch of stuff over the years. Family Guy, South Park, Sailor Moon, Transformers and even his once precious Animal Crossing. The last time Chris really did anything with Animal Crossing was 2009, you think he would be more invested in it considering Nintendo Power catered to his ego and did a write up on his potato quality documentary, but it’s fallen on the wayside.
Chris definitely has that childish quality where over the years he just loses interest in shit for no real reason, caveat being he’s not a kid going through puberty and throwing away action figures, he’s a grown ass forty year old man who will still hold onto all of that shit in a moldy box.

This has been asked like 40 times in this thread.

Just because someone didn't go to college doesn't mean they aren't clever. But Chris is not clever.

Chris took five years to get a two year degree and certificate from a community college. The certificate itself is supposed to take only one semester. His AAS in CADD is meant for people who want to relax some general education requirements to get into the workforce faster. Chris did not join the workforce. As the CWCki puts it, "Simply majoring in CADD nowadays is like majoring in Microsoft Word." At one point his CADD teacher gave him an F.

Despite dead links on the CWCki, I have been able to obtain three pdf's made from dwg files, the filetype used by AutoCAD. They come from when Chris took ARC222, an architecture course. These are said to have taken weeks to months to construct. Curiously, most of the measurements in the CWCville mall are multiples of 12 feet, with the exception of two walls for some reason. The mall contains stores such as Christopher's Pizza and Christopher and Banks. The Pokemon center is two stories tall. There are numerous places to buy and play with toys and video games as well as lots of junk food restaurants.

The mayor's office is located in the CWCville mall somewhere but I couldn't find it. It measures 240 by 120 feet and contains a table over 20 feet long, surrounded by 18 chairs, in an enormous, otherwise empty room. There are five long rooms, each six feet in width, with no apparent means of entry or exit. This makes me recall the Winchester Mystery House, a building also supposedly designed with the help of supernatural beings. Outside the massive office with the table are four rooms. Two of these are 114 by 36 feet. Adjoining these are rooms measuring 102 by 24 feet, each with a single small door.
I hadn't seen them before and they're both very funny. I'm actually a little surprised Chris was aware enough to include utility corridors and back rooms for all the stores, including the anchors. It's also interesting how there's such minimal imagination in the stores. Apart from pokestop, cutco and Christian's Pizza, they are all just regular mall stores. The store names are also in comic sans and entirely inappropriate to include on a caad layout at all.

The mayor's office is on another level. I really want to see some kind of Chris Chan inspired movie now with scenes set in that room. Conversations with his secretary happening at a delay as they wait for the sound of their voices to reach the other across the room.

Hey guys, CopperCab privated the second part of his interview with Chris, does anyone have a copy?

Just listen to him in the Lars call and you'll have your answer.
