Imo they were hoping/predicting Zelenskyy himself would fail, setting all the above mentioned failures in motion.
Yes your opinion which in the great scheme of things is totally worthless.

I'll explain how an organised military plans a campaign. Thousands upon thousands of man hours mapping out every possible scenario with detailed algos. If A happens we do B but if it doesn't we do C and then move on to D and so on.
The Russians are really good at this stuff, not so good at executing due to how they structure their military organizationally, but in terms of preparing they would absolutely have spent months in planning.
The idea that they just marched into the Ukraine hoping that the enemy would give up without a fight is so fucking retarded I can't.

I think this may be some kind of calculated move by the Ukrainians.
It absolutely is. A good amount of documented smashed Russian shit has watermarks of the Ukrainian unit who did it. I just assume they don't take pictures with a cell phone like an idiot. It gets taken with a camera and goes through their public relations people.
It seems people love to either ignore or left out the size of population and manpower Ukraine could train and use. Sure, their numbers are lowered by the millions with the refugees and displaced, but there are still going to be millions of Ukrainian willing to fight, and fight they will for this is an existential war for them
They are turning away people in places like Kyiv. The easy jobs are filled and they don't have the resources for training of needed positions. Out west it is different. Probably get sent to bootcamp for a line unit then. Their rear deck detachments are training up people as fast as they can.

As an aside, the missile strike that was reported to kill a gorillion redditors in Yavoriv was against the base for the 24th Mechanized. Most of the people who died were Ukrainian reservists getting trained up to be sent to the unit as replacements. These places in the rear are busy.

Fucking racist losers, lol. I honestly hope companies like these don't fold to this bullshit. Russia, their language and their people can't be defined by one fuckhead waging a war, but sadly the media is kinda pushing this narrative either directly or indirectly that Russians are bad.

I know 'official polls' suggest that an overwhelming majority of Russians support the 'military exercise', but I don't believe that at all.

This retarded attitude just causes more hate (and it plain hateful) under the guise of being 'progressive', and it's fucking disgusting.

Hey bro cool story, I'll reply with a quote from none other than the great war guru 'borsabil':

At least I had the modesty to call it an opinion though bro 🙃

Is it fair to say after nearly a month of fighting, that whoever oversees Russian logistics operations is bad at their job?
Not necessarily. I don't think it's supposed to be the job of the guy organizing the supply trucks to keep them from getting blown up en route. That's on the guys who were supposed to secure the fucking route in the first place. And when your trucks keep getting sufficiently exploded as to render them inoperable, it becomes more or less impossible to do your job well. After that it's a question of whether the guy in charge of logistics was also in charge of procurement. Logistics probably can't do it's job very well if procurement is separate and corrupt as hell and embezzles money instead of using it to update stockpiles. Finally it's a matter of what assumptions they were told to make about the campaign. If it takes longer than expected or faces more resistance than expected, it's going to fuck up their plans and require revisions and that wouldn't really be their fault.

They planned and prepared for this. They are 6D Chess Grandmasters who considered every possible permutation of events to assure there were no flaws or vulnerabilities. You may not see it now but it is all part of a plan and prepared for. A genius masterplan with maps and algorithms. Thousands of hours by the greatest military minds planning A, B, C, and D. Just watch and believe. No more questions.

Two more weeks

Been posted before but I got to point out that this clip has some serious "We're entirely surrounded. Those poor bastards. They've got us right where we want 'em. We can shoot in every direction now.” vibes
Imagine finding yourself fighting a losing battle in a coastal holdout and having to fire at enemy forces coming from every direction

Certainly. Keep in mind that these are it's claimed capabilities. The official in charge of the project was General Khalil Arslanov. He was convicted after embezzling 6.7 Billion Rubles.

Oh, and I've seen it spelled both ways. Quit being pedantic.
Now I'm being pedantic as it's relevant.
The official that was tasked with modernizing their comms equipment just contracted BaoFeng to make 95% complete radios and then he finished the other 5% with Russian parts and called them domestically manufactured while pocketing the rest of the money.
I'll just take your word for this part but these articles don't back that up.
They relied on local 3G and 4G networks for encryption.
Neither article says this, but sticking with the realcleardefense article, it says the pilots wanted the radios for voice comms and then mentions it can also do encryption and cites a Russian article. The relevant part of the russian article is
Article quoteYandex Translation
Отметим, что ранее В частности, летчиков не устраивала работа аварийной радиостанции Р-855, которой не хватает мощности для голосовой связи. Они просили заменить ее на Р187 П "Азарт", которая обладает способностью зашифровывать переговоры.It should be noted that earlier, In particular, the pilots were not satisfied with the work of the R-855 emergency radio station, which does not have enough power for voice communication. They asked to replace it with P187 P "Azart", which has the ability to encrypt negotiations.

So now what's being said is Russia is using a radio, the R-187-P (US Army training material on it), which is a radio that relies on 3G/4G for encryption and the pilots of Su-24s and Su-25s want it for that encryption. 3G/4G don't work very well in the sky and probably not at supersonic speeds. The Army training info just says it's encrypted as well, no requirements listed.

So either this is not the radio involved with the system that doesn't work or it is but it's the single most retarded military radio ever made, relying on mobile frequencies to encrypt comms used by other bands.

----------
Personally I think there's been a lot of false info out there, intentional and unintentional, and this is lumped in with that. I think the language barrier and eagerness to laugh at Russians, as they're hilariously hypersensitive about this stuff, has led to people being quick to believe hilarious foibles without any desire to verify it because verification requires translations and context which aren't readily available.

"Trust the plan bro, trust THE PLAN! We will take Kiev at the end! Two more weeks!"

Honestly, saying that the Russian military is a genius simply because Russia is a Chess Powerhpuse might be the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Only a gullible naive person would actually believe that. Its like saying the Imperial Japanese Army is smart because the Japanese played go and shogi

Being surrounded at least solves the problem of finding the enemy before we kill him.

See what I'm doing is taking a few seconds of my valuable time to explain to you how every single military organization on the planet Earth (yes even in black Africa) plan out a campaign. Construct decision trees and algos in painstaking detail with every single scenario gamed and planned for. Your opinion (retarded thought bubble) is that the Russians somehow decided to skip this stage and went straight to 'lets drive across the border and hope they surrender'. You have formed this opinion by spending time on Reddit. You are a dummy.
