Chinese families overall don't want more than one kid, max. Just too expensive. Farm families likely would want the three kids, more helpers on the farm, more to provide for parents in their old age.

@Feline Supremacist - the zoomers can cry all they like, but should we get into a situation that requires a draft, the drill sergeants will make sure the zoomers STFU and train, unless they want a bad-paper discharge. The time for fucking around with feelings will be long over.
The drill sergeants will be jaded old Gen Xers who got their worldview from 80's action films, should be fun times.

Ironically if Crimea wasn't annexed Ukraine had to potential to be a lot wealthier, they discovered significant oil reserves in the black sea shortly before Russia annexed Crimea, which just of happened to make Ukraine lose access to a most of the discovered reserves.

Also holy fuck how is Ireland so fucking rich.
Ironically, if Ukraine wasn't so corrupt it would be a lot wealthier.

What that the US one is alive and the Russian one is dead?
41% casualty rate is still somehow better than VDV casualty rate its crazy dood
It doesn't matter if the zoomer-soldiers are cold, there's no way in hell Ukraine 50% have frostbite.
Was “frostbite” maybe a mistranslation? Maybe he was really depressed and said everyone had frostbite because he was sad :(

or its just propaganda lol

Is china really a paper tiger? I keep hearing how it's like that and that it's economy with collapse in a few years due to low birthrates and an aging population and all that.
Militarily, they are due to the insular geography around them that doesn't let them using their size to their advantage. In terms of manufacturing for nations that don't want to deal with E-waste, not so much. I'm not as convinced of the "collapsing" demographics relative to every other developed nation. While a contraction of 1 Billion people down to 900 million--let's make that 800 million--is a significant percentage of 20% loss, that's still a lot of people left over. If the US lost 200 million people from aging demographics, that's an extinction event. Therefore, we must conclude that low birthrates and aging population is a bigger issue for the US because our margin of tolerable losses is worse. We see the results in the West's permissive immigration policy trying to cover up this problem.

I guess OG Uncle Joe was right about manufacturing numbers too.

On the news here they said Russia has kidnapped 2000 children from Mariupol. Which is a funny way of saying, evacuated civilian children.
Same shit with Zalensky being called a patriotic and heroic leader for encouraging (giving guns to) people (untrained civilians, including children) to fight (via coercion), but that's just a baseless Russian disinfo claim. Meanwhile Russia evacuating civilians who are willingly going to them and asking for evacuation is "kidnapping".

China's got a very good regional military. The paper tiger aspect comes from people claiming it's a superpower. It has incredibly bad power projection and could barely get an invasion going in Taiwan let alone anywhere else in the world. They've got military muscle, they just have next to no capacity to flex it anywhere.

This might be captured from the Ukranians, because this type of machinegun was spotted and made fun of by the russian telegrams yesterday.

Your version has a shield that's missing from the Ukranian one, so yea it's easily possible this is just irony and they ended up using the same model, or it's the same gun and the Russians took it, I just think it's odd to see this gun show up twice in two days.

The wild Ingubu with the fierce Imbezu on the right
Came charging from the northern bush they were a fearful sight
And near six thousand warriors we stopped them on the run
The bravest of the brave could never match the Maxim Gun!

Isn't that true of every shithole country?

I can peck my way through pics of written cyrillic to translate it but spoken slav is beyond me. Maybe they said 50% were not frostbitten?

Depends on how you define "paper tiger". Your economy can be resting on a bubble resting on a bubble, your military can be corrupt and incompetent, your population aging, and your birthrates low... but if you've got working nukes you're still enough of a threat that people will take you seriously. Even if you don't have working nukes, sheer size and quantity will cover a lot of sins. Plus just because you aren't a problem for the big boys doesn't mean you can't push around smaller countries. And "they'll come to disaster in a few decades" is a cold comfort to people whose lives are being affected right now.

Well it looks like the stream of ancient shit never ends. At this point I'm waiting to see a T34 roll out.
Believe it or not the export variant Maxim's actually still a reliable and lethal weapon for reserve armies, far as I know. Some designs just work. We still use the Browning after all.

Oh I know its a perfectly fine design functionality wise. Still it's surprising to see one out in this conflict. The real reason it's obsolete is that that style of machine gun fell out of favor because of the whole bulky as fuck thing.

omg look they just caught a fucking gobliness trying to loot a store

fuck goblins

Whats the context here? Mainstream media has claimed that all Ukranian cities are being bombed 24/7 and it's complete anarchy. When do they have time to hire security guards or bust shoplifters?

Also, that chick should of chose a better mask.
