President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the United States will impose sanctions “far beyond” the ones that the United States imposed in 2014 following the annexation of the Crimean peninsula.

“This is the beginning of a Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Biden said in a White House speech, signaling a shift in his administration’s position. “We will continue to escalate sanctions if Russia escalates,” he added.

Russian elites and their family members will also soon face sanctions, Biden said, adding that “Russia will pay an even steeper price” if Moscow decides to push forward into Ukraine. Two Russian banks and Russian sovereign debt will also be sanctioned, he said.

Also in his speech, Biden said he would send more U.S. troops to the Baltic states as a defensive measure to strengthen NATO’s position in the area.

Russia shares a border with Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered troops to go into the separatist Donetsk and Lugansk regions in eastern Ukraine after a lengthy speech in which he recognized the two regions’ independence.

Western powers decried the move and began to slap sanctions on certain Russian individuals, while Germany announced it would halt plans to go ahead with the Russia-to-Germany Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

At home, Biden is facing bipartisan pressure to take more extensive actions against Russia following Putin’s decision. However, a recent poll showed that a majority of Americans believe that sending troops to Ukraine is a “bad idea,” and a slim minority believes it’s a good one.

All 27 European Union countries unanimously agreed on an initial list of sanctions targeting Russian authorities, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, and EU foreign affairs head Josep Borell claimed the package “will hurt Russia … a lot.”

Earlier Tuesday, Borell asserted that Russian troops have already entered the Donbas region, which comprises Donetsk and Lugansk, which are under the control of pro-Russia groups since 2014.

And on Tuesday, the Russian Parliament approved a Putin-back plan to use military force outside of Russia’s borders as Putin further said that Russia confirmed it would recognize the expanded borders of Lugansk and Donetsk.

“We recognized the states,” the Russian president said. “That means we recognized all of their fundamental documents, including the constitution, where it is written that their [borders] are the territories at the time the two regions were part of Ukraine.”

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Putin said that Ukraine is “not interested in peaceful solutions” and that “every day, they are amassing troops in the Donbas.”

Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday morning again downplayed the prospect of a Russian invasion and proclaimed: “There will be no war.”

“There will not be an all-out war against Ukraine, and there will not be a broad escalation from Russia. If there is, then we will put Ukraine on a war footing,” he said in a televised address.

The White House began to signal that they would shift their own position on whether it’s the start of an invasion.

“We think this is, yes, the beginning of an invasion, Russia’s latest invasion into Ukraine,” said Jon Finer, the White House deputy national security adviser in public remarks. “An invasion is an invasion and that is what is underway.”

For weeks, Western governments have been claiming Moscow would invade its neighbor after Russia gathered some 150,000 troops along the countries’ borders. They alleged that the Kremlin would attempt to come up with a pretext to attack, while some officials on Monday said Putin’s speech recognizing the two regions was just that.

But Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters Tuesday that Russia’s “latest invasion” of Ukraine is threatening stability in the region, but he asserted that Putin can “still avoid a full blown, tragic war of choice.”

Is this a case of them sending them out again, or are normiebook tards just that behind because we sent F35s over weeks ago and they're back now.

I said a while back when they were talking about adding Belarussian troops that it would end up being a clusterfuck because organising coalitions between multiple nation troops is always risky, even moreso when it's done on the fly. Now imagine those difficulties multiplied by
a)the fact the mercs and PMCs aren't proper troops and
b) Russias difficulties in managing just their own troops
and holy shit I expect this go go fucking catastrophically wrong.
I recall that Wagner Group picked a fight with US forces in Syria, and promptly got their shit pushed in.

Also reveals what kind of cowards they really are. They pretend to be brave and stunning after coming out as trannies but when it comes to defending their County they run as cowards. I have a feeling U.S trannies would do the same. I'm happy the Ukrainian government is not having it.

Alot of trannies are not convincing as women despite what they think.
Lmao not wanting to ged raped by slav retards makes you a coward

The apocryphal story is that Americans called Russians and are like "get your boys out of there". The Russians literally said "we are not there" and so apparently the detachment of wagnerities just got pulverized.

Unedited footage of the sinking of the Russian supply ship. Apparently it was targeted because Russia was bragging about how it was going to resupply their troops and kept posting images of it, which allowed Ukraine to track where it was. Don't worry, Russia bros, this is just the pretend invasion designed to make Russia look retarded. It's all going to plan.

"Redditors Who Joined Ukraine War Get Soldiers KILLED By Posting Selfies And Videos, Its NOT A GAME"

I'd call bullshit on this, because geotaging and even use of cell phones is strictly controlled fro many years now. Even Russians on training could only use older pushbutton phones to prevent picture taking. Cellphone conversations are monitored by both sides and also triangulated as well and Ukrainians also had to to learn it the hard way in Donbas prior to 2022 invasion. In essence, if there is any FUBAR, it's on unit commanders, not monkeys under his command.

Geos of all perm base locations, training grounds are well known, they are hardly secret already. You are not digging supersecret bunkers or new bomb shelters in a week.

Also, there is still popular stories still circulating about Ukrainian soldier taking a selfie in a gym, posting it on Reddit and Russian rocket destroying them all minutes later. That's a fake. The real backstory is gym was setup as a signup place for civil guards, one of the guys who signed up gunned down 14 people and took off. The Russian propaganda posted the video of the aftermath themselves and you could see the same gym, in tacts, and all dead bodies had gunshot wounds.

Whatever Reddit bros are doing, obviously russian propaganda is trying hard to work against them.

There were a lot of "inconvenient" people from Donbass in that troop column. Probably one of the most memorable, was Milchakov who posted himself with Nazi flags, mutilated puppy (that he was showing off as him having no pity) and his photos in that region cutting off years off dead bodies as souvenirs. There were quiet a few others that distinguished themselves and were a liability.

The story was, they had orders to move into a place that unbeknownst to them was occupied by American troops, who saw them, asked russian command which denied that they were theirs. Then Americans torched that column with artillery and there used to be the vids of Am. helis coming to finish the job. In short, those who didn't vaporize got strafed. Very few survived and did post their gripes later, you can probably still find it around, it was a big story with a lot of follow ups.

Ukraine had admitted that similar stories like this are true. So, I say this is believable. For example:

TikToker arrested after posting clip of Ukrainian military vehicles parked near a mall that Russia later blew up

  • Russian forces blew up a shopping mall on the outskirts of Kyiv on Sunday.

  • Ukraine's Security Service said it arrested a TikToker who filmed military vehicles by the mall.

  • Officials have urged Ukrainians not to share footage of military movement in case it helps Russia.
A Ukrainian man was arrested after posting a TikTok video of military vehicles parked near a shopping mall that was later blown up by Russians.

On Sunday, Russian forces struck a shopping mall on the northwestern outskirts of Kyiv, killing eight people, Reuters reported. The day after, the Security Service of Ukraine posted a video of the man apologizing.

"A TikToker recently posted on the internet about the location of the Ukrainian military in Kyiv," the Security Service said.

It continued: "Later, the shopping center, where our defenders were, was subjected to a powerful missile strike by the Russian occupiers.

"Knowingly or unknowingly, this man worked as a corrector for the enemy — an investigation will be established."

In the Security Service's video, the man identified himself as Artemev Pavel Alexandrevich and said he was a resident of Kyiv.

He said he posted a TikTok showing the movement of Ukrainian military equipment near the shopping mall, and he urged people to "not put stuff on TikTok."

It's unclear when exactly Alexandrevich posted the TikTok. The Russian news outlet Pravda reported that he posted it on February 24, the day of the Russian invasion.

Ukrainian officials have been warning citizens to refrain from posting footage of Ukrainian military movement on social media in case it helps Russian forces with their targets.

After the shopping-mall bombing, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents not to share footage "of the movement of military equipment, checkpoints, strategic objects."

Russia's defense ministry said on Monday that it targeted the "nonfunctioning" shopping mall because it was being used as a "store of ammunition" and rockets by Ukrainian forces, Sky News reported.

It's unclear whether Ukrainian forces used the shopping mall to store military equipment.

Kyiv locals told The Guardian that Ukrainian forces were using the entire area as a base because it was only a few miles away from the neighboring town Irpin, where Russian forces are stationed.

Ukraine had admitted that similar stories like this are true. So, I say this is believable. For example:

yeah, in the last couple of days they really clamped down on any picture taking, outlawing it outright. Before it was just suggestions. I'm not sure what's going on, this conflict has been going on longer than anyone expected (on both sides) so both sides are trying different things and I know for a fact that both sides are trying to work media to their advantage somehow.

The attack on Yavoriv wasn't a tic tok reason, as it was claimed, it's a well known, old training center, anyone with googlemap can figure out where it is and what's there.

Again, the policies on cell phone use were well established. In fact something like few years back a Ukrainian officer was in jail for shooting (and killing) a private who made a call from the trenches which immediately resulted in the trenches getting shelled. So my opinion isn't a knee jerk, it's based on what I read from previous 8+ years of conflict there. FUBARs will happen, and again, the blame is on unit/base commanders, not Reddit.

If I remember rightly, Russian Artillery also promptly targetted a bunch of schools and gyms because they suspected they were used as marshalling zones (which they likely were).

Its hard to sift through what is definitely complete bullshit and russian intelligence operators posting to reddit to try and discourage more western volunteers pouring in.

From what we can tell, the kit volunteers are getting is a complete mix, quite a lot of equipment which the Ukranians aren't used to using but these guys are is pouring into Ukraine, so plate carriers, german helmets decent boots etc.

God damn have the Russians always been this retarded? Nukes really are the only thing they have really going for them

Eh it could be true - but it was a known military location so it could of just been based on that. Notably, we haven't seen the geo-tag which caused it yet.
Are you talking about the article I linked? In that case the way article is worded makes it seem that it wasn't a "known military location".
The attack on Yavoriv wasn't a tic tok reason, as it was claimed, it's a well known, old training center, anyone with googlemap can figure out where it is and what's there.
It was a shopping mall, though, not an old training center.

Part of me honestly hopes that if the ruskies do get around to fucking with our power grids etc they do so in June just so I won't have to see non-stop fag stories about fag things for "pride" month

That'll be the NSA or CIA doing that as a false flag/keeping the normies in line, but yeah, I agree with you.

God damn have the Russians always been this retarded? Nukes really are the only thing they have really going for them

Yes. They have always been a bunch of bumpkins. Second world power, first world ambitions and nuclear weapons.

I recall that Wagner Group picked a fight with US forces in Syria, and promptly got their shit pushed in.
Supposedly Wagner Group claims that Russian intel didn't tell them that there were US forces in that position, they thought it was just like FSA or whatever with a few RPGs and recoilless rifles, then the next minute they are getting slammed with fucking air and artillery support.

So yeah, the WGs got vaporized by US forces, but no they weren't exactly "picking a fight with US forces" as much as they didn't actually expect US forces to be there.
