She has a point though, most of the critics of this retarded show are utter weebs who are no better than Monty and the current writers. I'm more than willing to bet every vital organ inside my body that if this gets released, RWBYtubers will suck its dick no matter how utter garbage the writing quality will be just because it's Japanese.

IIRC, the RWBY manga was better than the OG version. Even if it fucked over another manga the mangaka was doing.

I mean RWBY is already pretty dark. Demon monsters are overrunning the world, the people meant to stop it are getting overwhelmed, and the most powerful country in the world just got wiped out.

Gen just wouldn't pretend Team RWBY are spotless when they actively contribute to said country getting wiped out through how dumb their plan is.

I have to watch it since it's a SHAFT+Urobutcher combo. Heard they were going to bring him back for Madoka's new movie anyhow. Still sad to see how far Shaft has fallen sonce 2011.
 
RWBY isn't fundamentally flawed on a conceptual level or anything, so I could totally see this working out. Like all of the character concepts are fine, and the idea of (very, very loosely) basing the characters off of fairy tales is very anime. Literally all this needs to be better than RWBY is better animation (I don't see how they could possibly fuck this up), non-shit character writing and dialogue, and maybe don't follow the plot too closely.

The first few Volumes of RWBY where a guilty pleasure of mine, but I lost interest in it as the show went on, I'm curious what the anime adaptation will be like, I haven't watched any of the anime made by the people in charge of this so I don't really know what to expect
 
Yeah, this is nice and all, but where the shit is the V9 announcement? I want to see how they fuck up the V8 finale.

They released a trailer and caught flak from every side, since then they've gone radio silent. With RT's current problems I'm almost certain that V9 will not release and RWBY will end with V8. They might sell the IP but I honestly don't know who would even buy it at this point.

I'm not enough of a weeb to follow Japanese VAs but can some of the weebier denizens of this thread tell me if this credit list look good or bad?

It looked like garbage and V8 had already soured almost everyone on the show to begin with. I'll repost it for you but it was posted in the thread, of course it's probably like 100 pages back at this point, peruse through the posts from June and July of last year and you'll probably find it.

If that happens, all the easier to just write a fanfic where you can just build a way to end the series or set up a way to do a reboot or something.

The RWBY main cast is fairly good, what got me surprised is that they got Hayami to voice Ruby. At least the anime will have pretty good voice acting, way better than the earlier seasons
