Maybe I don't get into it enough or pay that much attention to chat, but honestly Gura's chat doesn't seem any worse than any of the other's chats. There are some of the memes that get old (F E E T any time a foot/toe is seen or mentioned has gotten really annoying), but I think that is common too in any large-ish fanbase.

I'm kind of surprised it isn't the other way. I'd think all hololivers should have memberships to everyone else. Then there could be more interaction between them even during member streams. Maybe though that is supposed to be their "private" time with members so they don't want other talents dropping in.

I seem to remember there being something clunky in the Susantube settings that does not allow the talent to become members to each other. I can't remember what it was though.

Also, the seal is going on break for a bit due to her chronic illness.

Yes.
Very much so with anyone with a brain who's paid any sort of attention to whats going on with her mentally. The stress relief and lack of anxiety during members stream is obvious.
Her chat dissolves into just pure spam and she struggles to communicate for help when asked. Vampire Survivors is a good example of this.
She's had multiple games ruined now because her fans/chat can't just shut the fuck up about spoilers and just enjoy her playing. Elden Ring streams are the most recent. Soon will be Sekiro.
The endless milliseconds of fame donating dumb shit to get her in trouble by clipping her readings out of context. The vomit alphabet soup of tranny letters and mental disorders is the worst of all.
Her red version "being fiesty" moods is just the shackles of hololive and her persona holding back the true gremlin which just wants to scream at chat.

My only issue (and boy is it a huge issue) with Gura's chat is the large amount of tourists who would do annoying things like spamming huge paragraph of emotes and posting cringe comments/questions such as "HOW OLD ARE YOU?, "ANYONE FROM [INSERT COUNTRY]?", "CAN YOU SPEAK [INSERT LANGUAGE]?". They would repeat the same damn lines throughout the stream just to get her attention. Of course most of them are gray names, which explains why there is such huge difference in atmosphere between her public and member streams.

This isn't exclusive to Gura though, it's prevalent in every From Software streams, even by other Holomems. Besides, I doubt chat affected much when it comes to ER, don't remember her complaining about chat, she seems more frustrated by the game itself.

They don't. It's just a easy and a low hanging fruit to blast Gura fans because people like Brittany Venti and Quin have given us easy ammo - she looks like a little girl, therefore you are a pedo; anything else you after this statement say just proves you are.

Also doesn't help that Gura IS the most popular Vtuber right now (don't even attempt to deny this fact), so ratio wise, she has the most schizos compared to other smaller communities.
