Also, isn't macOS kernel open source? I'm not a lawyer, and I know Apple license isn't GPL-compatible, but surely you can get away with at least using it as a reference, without needing to fully reverse engineer everything?

There's no way that's legit. Bureaucrats are soulless mechanistic creatures and would never become worked up enough to utter that last bit. They simply have insufficient fucks to give. You're being ruse'd.

@AnOminous, is it really legal to withhold government records from what must be countless different countries on something as critical as overseas deaths on the say-so of one "outraged" US citizen or family? That seems rather insane, considering how many other potential parties that'd inconvenience. If so, would such an action be vulnerable to a FOIA request, as speculated?I vouch for its authenticity.

I am not The Dude. The Dude would be much more chill about this. That original reply still seems...Off. Right at the top of the database access page it says it's required to be made available by law, not as a mere courtesy. Therefore, how can it be legal to discontinue it?Dude...
If I'm missing something, then by all means, feel free to point it out.Is this really happening right now- before my eyes?
