I have no clue where you got this from.
Besides Mariupol and some other strategic cities Russians have no intentions to capture other cities by entering them. Street fights are always a bloody mess. Both for the defender, the attacker and civilians so it's best to avoid it at all costs.

Their current approach is much better: surround it, cut off supplies and bomb it from time to time to destroy military infrastructure. It's relatively safe for Russia but for Ukrainians it is devastating; both mentally as physically.

Hopefully it hit Putins best mate for orchestrating a war on a country and killing countless innocent people, it wouldn't surprise me based on the Russian militarys competence though!

But the lines aren't moving for nearly a month now, it's draining for Russia's army and economy to keep this gay war coming, while increasing the chance a third party will join in and massively tip over the scales against Russia.

Russian generals seem to be completely out of touch in pretty much every aspect and equivalent in skill to the American gender studies generals. Modern wars are won by finishing things before your entire economy collapse and becoming a global pariah.

To be fair, these sort of policy had varying levels of success historically. See: France and their attempts to erase their Occitan brethren since the 19th century, and Indonesia, with their attempt to integrate their minority Chinese population and multitudes of various brown tribes across a thousand islands.
