Y'know this live action Boondock's adaption is looking much better than I was expecting. Casting Will Smith as Uncle Ruckus was shear perfection.

They weren't in a private environment. It was a live tv event watching by millions (kinda). Rock saw him approach and I'm sure he never imagined he would lose his temper this way in front of an audience and he realised too late what was coming.

Put it this way, if you're in some important event like a wedding or a birthday, and someone comes to you, you don't think they'll be stupid enough to punch you for a minor joke you made, unless they're drunk.

That he's walking up onto the stage during a formal event is a red flag. Yes, I would be making space if I'm at a wedding and a guy is stomping my way after I called his wife bald.
