General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Camellia, the artist who composed Bae's song "PLAY DICE!" and several songs on Calli's new album tweeted out a reference to Kiwi Farms' newest lolcow Keffals.

Tangentially related to VTubers I suppose but it's such a weird crossover that I can't just ignore it. Imagine making such an ass out of yourself that even a Japanese speedcore artist who composes music for anime girl streamers is dunking on you.

At long last Sora is closing in on a million subs. Been watching her the most out of all the JP branch lately . I know she's the original but she gets overlooked by overseas viewers in favour of the more explosive members. Get comfy and watch her chat, game or sing. It's always nice.
And if you wanna try to understand what she's saying, she always has a TL up on Holodex. Sora is Soradorable.

That's what happens when you're a chronically immature retard with an ego and the ingrained misconception that Twitter likes correlate to anything of value. Glad to see more people mocking that stupid fucker lol!

Lets admit it, these are the people DDKalli seems to connect and enjoy more since she actually gets to be there; plus, she seems genuinely enjoying it. Ngl, I'm happy for her to be like this compared to when she streams as Mori.
She has some good chemistry with the rest of the Myth girls, you can see they aren't just workmates, but nothing compares to meeting people in person and enjoying some time together. This is why she might be happier, less lonely that way!

Apparently Pomu was deleting negative comments on her off-collab with Finana and Uki and has now disabled comments altogether. Wasn't able to have a look myself before comments were turned off, but here are some screenshots I found a /vt/.

Seems like most of the negative comments were from people who were expecting the stream to just be Pomu and Feesh without a third wheel.

Oh hey! I see a Mumei avi. How long till someone blames Holo false flaggers for this one?

So how accurate are those accusations, was this hyped as a luzulight only stream for more views only to pivot something else or are the accusations false? Also regardless of that deleting negative comments is a bitch move. If you decide to turn off comments all together that's one thing, but trying to hide the number of people unhappy with you by deleting comments that criticize you but leaving the nice ones makes you look scummy.

Anyone archive that schizo complaint letter that Deadcuck wrote on /r/hololive? Looks like the mods pulled it down.
There is also an archive

I don't think it was mentioned: There were custom scrims with viewer participation initiated by Mayuzumi's team in which Starend joined off-stream. The dedicated Aqua clipper HAI translated Ars pov (she teams up with Ebio and Rena) of Starend's win. Turn on the CCs, he added the translation of the teams reaction afterwards

I hold onto to one serious rrat - at least until her birthday - and that she's planning on returning back to the States for a long term stay some time after the obligatory Japanese 3D debut. I'm still calling it a rrat but it feels like it has more weight.

I think that she's homesick and it shows in little outbursts (going on tangents about family, her pets, etc ) and I know personally that living long term overseas with ties back in the home country is going to get to you eventually. Doing this could help a great deal. It's a lot like how Kiara's mental state got considerably healthier when she was back home with family, friends and her cats after her long isolation in pandemic lockdown Japan. Once she was back in a familiar environment with the people she cares about as opposed to more or less alone, all of her doom and gloom started easing up. Like Kiara it would be good for Calli/Karen to be back with her family for a long period of time. Especially after being unable to return for the holidays which must have been totally devastating.

Workwise, staying in North America for the foreseeable future also would make the logistics of her career much easier. She'll have access to meeting most of the Myth girls easily and it's easier to get between NA and Europe. She already mentioned plans of Karaoke with her Mom and I cannot see any feasible way of getting your boomer Mom to learn how to use discord or whatever.

If she does move back to the US what is your prediction for when a MYTH off collab happening. Couple of weeks, couple of months, or will they surprise her by waiting at her parents house when she arrives? Also where do you think a collab will happen. Ina is in Montreal, Gura is in New England (maybe?), Ame was in Cali but she moved so she could theoretically be anywhere now, Kiara is in Austria, I think Calli was from Texas and i assume she would move back there especially if home sickness is a big driving force. I think east coast makes sense, overall less flight time (Gura, Ina, Ame, and Calli have roughly the same amount of travel between them no matter where it is but Kiara has a much further flight the further west it is) and Kiara wanted to see a "normal" USA city which is a meaningless term given that American cities are vastly different depending on where in the country you go but I'm guessing New York/Boston/Philadelphia will fit her definition.

Uki: 36
Rice score might go down a couple of points after this am I right Pomudachi bros?

If it was hyped as a LazuLight collab then Elira would be there. Every off-collab NijiEN has had a surprise guest and it's really not like Pomu is desperate to maximise viewership.

Strongest Fairy is just purging the unicorns.

Kiara spelled it out pretty clearly. I feel like Miami, Florida would be it. Access to beaches, Disneyworld, all things Kiara wants to experience Canucks travel there frequently and cheaply. Easy travel for Gura and Calli. Ame is the only question now.

DDK announced an appearance in Hawaii. suddenly it's all getting real now lol.

It's probably mostly baiting. This was the third NijiEN offcollab in quick succession, and both previous ones had surprise guests (Vox and Ike for the Nina-Mysta collab, Rosemi for the Enna-Millie-Elira collab).
It was also not hyped as a Lazulight stream because Elira wasn't there and wasn't likely to be the surprise guest given that she's in Canada and rarely leaves her house, let alone her country.

/vt/ Pomudachi were having a meltdown (as I mentioned here during the collab) so my guess would be most of the comments are from there, either genuine or baiting. Pomu's got hate maros and comments from /vt/ in the past (like that maro sent from someone bitching about how she was friendlier with Kiara than people in her own company or something) so my guess is that she just deletes obvious bait and moves on these days.

As a very casual Pomu watcher I did not know this. I like Pomu, I like Finana and I like their chemistry so the third wheel was definitely not what I signed up for.

Rather than leave salty comments though I just turned the stream off and watched something else.

Apparently ShyLily used to be a "normal" streamer with her real face? Are there pics of her? I tried searching the thread but there isn't really any discussion of her pre-Veibae drama a month or two back, when she shot up in popularity. From the video it sounded like they are pretty common and not super secret or anything, so I was surprised not to find anything here or doing some quick google searches. (Compared to someone like Saruei who also used to face stream and is super easy to google for her IRL pictures with just a simple search.)

Also, I don't know if it is recent (but I don't remember seeing it on older clips of her), but I guess her fans are "shrimps" and she a little hand-drawn orange shrimp that she puts on her head or on stream. It is uncannily like Gura, which is kind of odd to see on someone else's stream.

You know some people are just going to defend her saying "Don't care, I'm Pomu" like the retards that they are. And yet people say Nijisanji is not an idol thing...
But what if they are false flaggers blaming false flaggers?
At this point I have no idea who is false flagging who anymore

Oh, Calli is moving back to US? Permanently? So, no returning to Japan?
Yeah, I think this is no longer a "self-imposed hiatus" that they claimed it to be

Wouldn't be the first time someone tried to appropriate "Shrimps"
Heck, pretty sure multiple ocean/sea-based Vtubers have used it using the defense that "Gura's fans are technically called Chumbuddies, not Shrimps"

Sevatonius was theorizing about her moving back to the US i and said it would make the MYTH meetup/off collab easier and only a matter of time since the other 4 wouldn't have to get in to lockdowned Japan and Calli wouldn't have to worry about getting back in like she did last time. Nothing official has been said about it.

Technically Shylilly dates back 2015 according to her stats page, but she had a redubet in January and i don't know when the orca theme started so she could theoretically predate Gura

If the rrat turns out to be true and she does plan on heading to the States for a while, she'll likely go back to Japan after that. She discussed buying a house and some property though. Both of which are far easier to get in the States, unless she buys up one of those abandoned properties the JP government are all but giving away.
