-Renting dozens of Internet Cafe's computers to increase their idol's stream live CCV numbers
-Using bot to Like Bomb their Idol's posts
-Using multiple sock puppets to game votes involving their idols
-Repeating their Idol's stream or video over and over again for the sole purpose of increasing their viewer count (BTS literally lost hundreds of millions of views because YT nuke this kind of repeat views a few years ago)
-Hoarding merchs of their idols to the point of riot (I'm not joking this does happen)
-Creating unironic cartels of merch sales, both official and not
-Engage in shit flinging so bad it's even worse than sports hooligans (seriously, if you thought the Holofags vs Nipplesanji is bad, you will be surprised)

I don't think what is going on is insidious, but it's certainly deliberate. You hit the nail on the head that most players are hardstuck in the rank they're at, but I also think those people are who the tournament rules are intended to cater towards.

The reason the point cap system exists is to create some kind of baseline of overall skill, so Suisei joining to be a Gold player and then immediately getting a Pro coach to become something more certainly feels like it's not in the spirit of the competition.

Not 'bad', not 'illegal', but definitely sets a precedent that I think will be detrimental to how people choose teams in the future if, in the chance this team finds a groove, they continue un-nerfed. Astel is probably seething that he was handicapped just to get an actual Plat 4, but Aqua goes unchecked and the Gold player takes steroids.

I think Fishman has come to terms with the fact that you don't have to limit yourself to having "idols" and that entertainment can cover a wide range of topics and have different types of audiences. While he probably gets a headache every time Pippa decides to do something original, he also realizes that there is a huge audience that will support her. Also, all trolling aside the audience isn't really toxic either.

This is the first time I've heard of the white men thing, but that doesn't make it less true
What I do know is that there's a quite a number of Indonesian weebs, mainly on Facebook, that hates HoloID in general and preferred NijiID instead. The reasons are:

1. They don't understand English, much less Japanese
2. Since they can't use English, they can only understand Indonesian humour, especially the low quality Facebook-class ones
3. They deemed HoloID, especially ones like Ollie, because they see them catering more to EOP and ESL due to their usage of EN and the more Anglo sense of humour

Why they preferred NijiID is also because NijiID do cater to these kind of people (even though some of the talents actually preferred not to), along with other indies. Another reason why they hated Ollie is because of her personality constrated a lot with their ideals of female idols/creators. I mean, just look at her

This is why I suspected why the Water Bowl was picked, because her Indonesian Kusogaki persona is actually similar to what these kind of people like, especially since she herself said she can't speak EN that much (also because she's talented as hell and actually funny)

I hold onto to one serious rrat - at least until her birthday - and that she's planning on returning back to the States for a long term stay some time after the obligatory Japanese 3D debut. I'm still calling it a rrat but it feels like it has more weight.

I think that she's homesick and it shows in little outbursts (going on tangents about family, her pets, etc ) and I know personally that living long term overseas with ties back in the home country is going to get to you eventually. Doing this could help a great deal. It's a lot like how Kiara's mental state got considerably healthier when she was back home with family, friends and her cats after her long isolation in pandemic lockdown Japan. Once she was back in a familiar environment with the people she cares about as opposed to more or less alone, all of her doom and gloom started easing up. Like Kiara it would be good for Calli/Karen to be back with her family for a long period of time. Especially after being unable to return for the holidays which must have been totally devastating.

Workwise, staying in North America for the foreseeable future also would make the logistics of her career much easier. She'll have access to meeting most of the Myth girls easily and it's easier to get between NA and Europe. She already mentioned plans of Karaoke with her Mom and I cannot see any feasible way of getting your boomer Mom to learn how to use discord or whatever.

In all honestly staying in Japan as a foreigner can be hard, believe me ive been here for almost 3 years initially i was meant to be here for a year. But then covid fucked that up and i was stuck here going down to immigration every other month for a visa renewal.( I now have a work visa so thats been sorted)
Not to doompost on her but she can barely speak the language which is very isolating, The first year i was here i had a basic understanding of JP and was lost even for work with all my co-workers. I would have expected her to at least have a grasp of it or be semi-fluent having "engrossed" herself in the culture. But from the streams ive seen where she speaks it its so broken.
It's very difficult to get anything done applying for housing, ID's and general interaction people will look down upon you because you're not from there.
With the way Karen look's i honestly wouldnt be surprised, ive not had the police visit me once to look at my Visa the whole entire time i've been here but she recently did lmao

Pretty much, sometimes it's best to be hands-off and just let the talent do their thing. I get being nervous dancing around YouTube's inconsistently-enforced "harassment" guidelines when talking about a specific person on stream because un-fucking a banned/shadowbanned channel is extra work he probably doesn't want to deal with, but at this point I think Pippa's found her audience and knows what they want, and it's only really weirdos on /vt/ who get bent out of shape about her (to my knowledge).
