I'm trying to figure this one out, I actually think it went fuller retard. like Super Retard beyond retard beyond and he locked his replies again I assume it's because someone in this last tweet on this pointed out not only is he illiterate but also can't add.

So Skill-up says they're fine paying for new releases they want to play and waiting for others to come on a streaming service, Xbox does it different. Both are good and will do fine. It's almost like he quoted the wrong tweet....

Who said anything about competition being bad?
What does an influencer and/or journalist have to do with anything?
Why is influencer/journalist in quotes? Is this not a real influencer/journalist?

Shill Up is widely liked, he might be a bit of a shill but he is not bad as influencers go. He usually do not pull punches but he can be a bit forgiving/fanboy/have shit taste at times. But again of all the influencers out the to try an take a swing at, this ain't the one chief.

But maybe Phil did this because he knows Skill Up will likely ignore him, but he does have a sense of humor so there is a small chance he will clown on Phil

Yeah this is purely Phil trying to get more eyes on him through Shill Up's bigger audience plus his continued need to trash everything Sony does. Probably resents the fact that Skill Up always gets review copies and has people that actually respect his takes on games too.

His tweet going viral - well, getting a modicum of attention, anyways - is that magic quarter that the universe puts in piggy on occasion. Once a year, roughly, he lands some kinda pathetic tiny Win and he's back on top, smelling like roses and pissing ginger beer.

That projared tweet, getting his lavender marriage, getting bankruptcy, uhhh.. that burger king chicken sandwich tweet... uh.. this Will Smith tweet... I think he got banned from twitch once in the past then immediately got back on in like a day or two... Swindling $2,000 out of retards for his mangled cat...My piglore is rusty but I'm pretty sure those are the only events that have genuinely made him happy in recent memory. I have been wondering about that myself.

I was a bit surprised that Phil watched the Oscars at all. He is not a movie buff and he 100% is not interested in the types of movies that gets Oscars.
And I can't think of another non gayming related thing going on that most normal people might want to talk about Phil has ever taken the time to watch so he could talk to his chat about it.

These subjects normally fall under "derailment" and will end up win BAN BAN BAN BAN if chat keeps bringing it up. Maybe Khet forced him to watch it?

The part I believe is that he was scrolling through Twitter and saw it started to trend as soon as the show ended, made his lukewarm take, and then got algorithm'd because he was verified. Nobody watches the Oscars anymore but most people know about the slap and started making fun of it.

I wouldn't say he was ratio'd because holy shit that like counter, but very few of the comments on the tweet were actually somewhat positive. A lot of people pointed out him jerking off on stream. One person talked about the "to ten racist moments" videos...which honestly isn't relevant today, since you can just find more recent clips of him being (not as blatantly) racist. Very few people talked about how he wanted to slap a kid for mouthing off to him, but it did come up a bit.

1. Sony subscribers because they are "getting less" with their subscription fee (day 1 access is a feature that they don't receive but Gamepass offers.)

2. Phil is strawmanning here. He thinks that Sony doesn't want to directly compete with Microsoft's offerings due to competition being bad for some reason...but they're already competing. The only one who isn't competing is Nintendo. He's basically saying that Skill Up is fine with Microsoft's monopoly on games subscription service because he's okay with Sony not doing day 1 access.

3. Skill Up is a well known channel with decent rapport. Phil thinks he's better than every single influencer because, according to him, he provides an honest opinion that isn't paid for. He is right in that there is a tacit agreement to not really bite the hand that feeds, but he uses that axiom as a justification to shit on journalists and influencers for acting professional and not calling the companies who give them stuff a bunch of lazy idiots. You can shit on Fromsoft all you want if they gave you a copy of Elden Ring, but you have to do it with a little bit of tact and can't just throw out bare-faced insults. Phil uses the whole "I'm honest" bit as an excuse to bitch without tact.

5. He's just trying to start shit to get more eyes on his stuff. Remember when he called everyone who got State of Decay 2 a bunch of paid shills and then tried to play it off as "muh depression"? Same thing is happening here; he's more than likely drunk.

I know this is actually about Services but it's funny he thinks he's a grade above Journalism and "influencers" when he's a bargain bin joke on everything about the industry.

This nigga crying that a bunch of open world games are releasing awfully close to each other and Horizon is doing bad because Elden Ring was competition. Does he have any optimistic positive things to say about Botw2 not releasing this year with all this competition?

I figured he meant sony subs, which is debatable, as we don't know the games that are coming with the service. It could very well be more than GP and personally, I would rather play FFT:WoL or Xenogears than the hot new releases skyrim anniversary edition or ms flight sim, but this IS dsp who doesn't understand why people like things he doesn't.

He's a walking "Quit having fun" meme.

What initially caught me as odd is how he came to all this from that tweet and how any of what he typed related to each other...but also yes he was likely drunk.
