I am impressed by the trademark Euro perfidity in that they will REFUSE to pay in rubles, but will instead hand over Euros to a Russian bank that will then on their behalf convert them to rubles to pay for the gas. Its a brilliant workaround to avoid nominally cucking while actually cucking in the proudest EU tradition
That sounds mildly worse since the bank can charge a transaction fee like the 7-11 ATM.

Go on I'm listening.
For one, the USSR was on a defensive footing as opposed to an aggressive one. Take the Cuban Missile Crisis; they didn't show up out of the blue for no reason. We had Jupiter missiles pointed straight at Moscow in Turkey, which really upset them. So when Fidel Castro asked for help he got it, and then some.

Part of the agreement for withdrawing the missiles from Cuba was the removal of our missiles in Turkey. That was kept secret; also, Castro kept urging Khrushchev to fire at least one missile at the USA, which absolutely horrified him, and had a big influence on his decision to remove them, because he didn't trust Castro.

eta: The missile trade was admitted by the CIA around 2001 I think and Soviet/US glowies have confirmed Khrushchev's feelings about Fidel Castro; I think at least one Cuban Communist party official who was present has admitted Castro wanted to keep and probably use the missiles, but I don't have any sources handy due to a failed HD. But that info is out there.

When it comes to virtue signaling, this probably takes the cake. Found it from the Russian chans.

ATTENTION WHORES!!! There's a lot of that going around in California. Wonder if they know the Peace Corps put out a statement on its website warming Black volunteers they may be called the N-word by Ukraine refugees.

Here are the latest videos from Tucker discussing the war.

Some comedy skits about hohol shilling and virtue signaling on western social media.

And the Ruskies really are playing up the Z.

Thanks, now I can monitor this thread and not go watch Tucker's monologue on my big TV.
That might have had some very interesting effects on the Chinese Civil War as well, possibly even the whole cold war.
I stand with Taiwan. 11000%. Chiang Kai-Shek was righteous. Fuck Mao. China is asshoe.
Ooohhh love me some JP!
I saw him live. It was okay. Started his set with - "So when does the civil war start?" - literally his first words. Followed up with "Do you think these leftist goons are actually going to fight? No....they are going to complain about safe spaces." Etc. Good stuff. Not great, but good.
Indeed, in the mid 80's we put out a glossy publication called "Soviet Military Power". The USAF also sent a "Soviet Awareness Team" on the road to give their unclassified presentation at various bases. Among others, there were a couple of people dressed in Soviet uniforms, speaking with a Russian accent. Saw it at our base theater. When the Berlin Wall came down, that stuff started going away.

Would say that at certain alphabet agencies there were people who knew the true situation. They also had the White House's ear.

The one thing about the mid-80's which is still a mystery to me was how many people actually believed the
Soviet Union would take over the USA. Started in 84, that's when the first "Red Dawn" came out. Entertaining but not realistic, was in a position to know. Around the fall of 86 people started thinking again, had a good laugh, said 'The Russians taking US over? What a fucking joke!", and promptly forgot about the whole thing. In early 87 ABC had their mini-series "Amerika", set ten years after a Soviet takeover. Remember seeing many name players, such as Kris Kristofferson, Robert Urich, and some others. Enough to piss a person off but by that time everyone had moved on. First episode drew well but viewership dropped off for the others. Interestingly, while the original "Red Dawn" is widely available on various types of media even now, takes a little doing to find any copies of "Amerika" available on VHS or DVD, have to go on eBay.
Red Dawn was a documentary. Still waiting on a continuation of the "Russia is losing" narrative you are set on. And no, I'm not bitter. Just looking for other viewpoints that actually make sense.

Before I went and loved some chicks feet tenderly, I watched NBC nightly news. They started tonight's show saying that "intelligence sources" in the "US Government" are telling them that Putin is getting lies and misinformation from his Generals and blundering through this war. Okay. I believe you CIA. Tell me more!

It's not like one day Turkey just decided out of the blue to join NATO and host nuclear weapons. Not that Cuba didn't have legitimate reasons to fear the US as well, but Soviet and Russian apologists like to play this game where they act as if their neighbors are irrationally being hostile and that they've done nothing to provoke anyone.

The Russians don't like to admit that they were the first violator of the Potsdam Agreement by supporting Mao in the Chinese civil war

You mean like how the US didnt totally support the KMT by supplying their forces with war materiel and loans? Fortunately for the CCP, the US retarded ambassador and KMT's absolutely legendary corruption were enough for the US to drop their support midway.

It's certainly an object lesson on how not to embezzle money on such a grand scale.

Sure, but they took such actions because they were looking to defend. It's a different mindset from going on the offensive. Like taking over a shitty country on Russia's border and then using it to stage exercises, spy and run gay ops.

It's like having a neighbor with dangerous pits who killed one of your cats, and he mocks you when you ask him to do something. So you get a Saiga and wait for the fuckers to come into your yard again and then you blow them away but the fag cries to the cops, but hey, you were in your yard so he's out some nasty pits. He goes home and orders several Cane Corsos. You get the idea.

It's been alleged we got at least one of the missiles. They weren't kept exactly in the conning tower, but in a structure behind it, so it's possible to have grabbed the bell without the missiles. All I've ever seen fully agreed on is that we recovered at least the forward 1/3 of the sub, with some saying more, but nobody saying less than that.
Why is everyone talking about this a (((cat)))?

Two different views on how things are looking from former US Soldier Youtubers. Both with some interesting observations.

I like cappy from task and purpose as while he is a total goober he is doing his best to be honest but his analysis is handicapped by relying on LiveUAMap which is totally in the tank for the Ukies

Edit: also interesting that he parallels our own Joseph Stalin in assuming the strategic centre of gravity for this war is Kiev. Not sure if this is an American affliction of focusing on things like the famous Fall Of Paris or Fall Of Baghdad and assuming this is how all wars are decided but most wars are decided not by the fall of the capital but by the destruction of one side's army in the field making occupation a foregone conclusion (see: franko-prussian war in 1870, surrender of Imperial Japan after being nuked and the Soviets dismantling their army in Manchuria)

I don't know but there certainly enough historical evidence to say you don't HAVE to capture the enemy capital for them to capitulate

The KMT was an official signatory of the Potsdam agreement. Chiang Kai Shek was the recognised leader of China and part of the allies. By supporting Mao the Soviets were undermining a fellow ally and international partner. It was the beginning of the end of the idea that the Soviets were going to play ball to maintain perpetual peace among the allies.

The Soviets were playing coy by recognising Chiang Kai Shek as the official ruler of China just to get the allies to agree on their European claims, then immediately supporting the foes of their allies

It seems that a lefty from the UK went over to Lviv to help but was attacked by a member of the Misanthropic Division.
The IG account lectures them, asks to share this widely and posts 3 pics of one of the attackers.

copy-pasta: "Please share widely
In Lviv, the far-rights (neonazis) from the Misanthropic Division attacked our fellow volunteer, who was helping the soldiers with ammunition, equipment, and bulletproof vests. It happened near a military supply store, where he went for new purchases. He has a broken finger.
Let us not forget that Ukrainian anti-authoritarian and left-wing activists are organizing resistance to the invaders, helping the fighters, supporting hospitals and people in need of food, care and scarce medicines. Attacks on us, our comrades or acquaintances = SUPPORT TO THE OCCUPIER.
We strongly recommend all racial fighters to stop doing nonsense in the rear and start doing useful things. Want action? You know where to go.
P.S. one of the attackers. (2nd pic)"

fyi - Blue arm bands are Ukrainian special forces like AZOV, AIDAR, ...
Here you can see one the Operation.Solidarity heroes helping them.

View attachment 3125710

Misanthropic Division is affiliated with AZOV and personally I don't think it's a very wise idea to call them out, lecture them, post one of their members his pic online and ask others to share it widely. Especially if you and a few of your friends are residing in Lviv where a lot of MD members reside.

Edit - seriously, if these guys find out then those Operation Solidarity members will be lucky if they just kick the shit out of them.
>Misanthropic Division
