I don't understand why people at Korps take their Fursonas so seriously to a point of wanting to be them. (Such as putting tennis balls under your chest, or Minecrafting your pelvis)
I see them as aliases or alteregos representing me if I were a humanoid-animal hybrid like TMNT characters.

I'll offer a caveat: if their avatar and/or OC is not a furry character, there might yet be hope for them.
Furries have a lot of money (as Strype's commission prices can attest), and very low standards, so there are more than a handful of otherwise normie artists who pick up commissions from furries for some easy cash.

A lot of furry troons, I'd say an extremely high percentage, eventually don't get the surgery. They may talk about in the few years where they're highballing on the transition high, but they either remember their penis works, or they just call their transition good enough when it gets too much to really maintain/talk about. A lot were very horny guys will go into it completely as a fetish, and Dave fits that bill.
However there are some that go full blown and do the deal, and Dave might just have the cult group assistance, and insanity that will make him able to keep things together. I doubt it though.
