I can't hate on the dead war journos that much, in fact I have more respect for them than most journos, just because they were actually willing to take a risk for their story, instead of just sitting in an office or hotel room. I respect Russian and Ukrainian war journalists more than the rest because there's the possibility of them not being rich enough to actually leave their hometown (or in Ukrainian cases, literally unable to leave Ukraine because of the ban) so might as well document shit going on, but whenever I see some American or non-Slav 'carnage tourist' get their head blown off by a sniper I just have to laugh and laugh and laugh, those fuckers deliberately CHOSE to enter a disaster zone willingly and are reaping the consequences for doing so. Everyone wants to be the next big youtube sensation and get fame and notoriety for doing the dirty work, but they also want to have their cake and eat it too by getting deeper into areas that are completely off limits.
