I decided to check Russian and Ukrainian articles on the battle in Kiev to compare them. According to the Russian side, the battle continues.
As for Ukrainians, they have no time to scribble useless articles, so there are none.

My personal view on the topic as well. The Ukrainian flag social media shit is disgusting, and liberals should be rightfully mocked for their virtue signaling and for turning into war hawks as soon as they think their agenda is in danger of suffering a setback. But I'm not going to sympathize with a bunch of wurzellose Russian oligarchs pushing for another brother war just to keep their power structure stable. I'll join in on mocking Zelensky and his ilk, but I'm not going to defend the Russian army, and I hope the Russian soldiers can return home and that the Ukrainian soldiers can be left in peace in their own lands.

The fact the cancermob sometimes or even fairly regularly targets good people or good concepts or just good shit in general should never blind one to the reality that 50-80% of the time the cancermob will just latch on to hating whatever is the "easiest and safest" thing to hate which will almost invariably be some stupidly nasty scumfuck or sickfuck, from child molesters to mass shooters to professional negative attention whores to terrorists to jeffrey epstein

Lol For the US to fight a war against China, they'd have to implement a draft. Imagine how that would go over with the modern US fighting age population which is mostly comprised of man-children and niggers and then compound that by ten with the unavoidable economic collapse that would occur from damn near everything instantly becoming unavailable because everything is either produced in China or has components produced in China. Hell even most US military weaponry has parts imported from China, and almost all steel for the entire world comes from either China, India, Korea, or Japan, which are all places China could easily prevent from shipping to the US.

While I doubt the US will draft anymore due to making all those Jan 6 protestors go full draft dodger/fragger, the stupidest thing about US foreign policy is how bipolar it is. Every 4 to 8 years, the US can just forget all commitment it made last term and take policy contrary to what it was doing before. Taiwan is assuming it can rely on the US for protection, but no one really knows if the US will say a "minor incursion" will not be answered and then only get arms for Taiwan/Japan/South Korea to die for US interests.

I agree they'd wait, but no, defending Taiwan is not doable. In this current conflict, the only reason why the Ukies have even been able to mount a marginal defense is that Russia is not willing to accept large numbers of civilian casualties. China has absolutely no issues whatsoever with this.

Yes, this is why their swarm tactics would assure their triumph in an invasion scenario, as long as their leadership isn’t decapitated.

Projecting power, however, is a different equation and they don’t have the necessary elements to do it yet. I believe they will, and much sooner than most think.

I didn't say i was pro russian, at all. I'm just very very anti ukraine. When the rogues gallery of scumfucks line up behind them, it makes em loathe them. I'm not going on support putin at all, but i will feel some empathy for the russian people. Not really surprising this happened since during most wars, pissed off soldiers tend to take out their anger on civilians when faced with losses. See US Soldiers massacring an entire village during the My Lai Massacre out of being pissed off over Vietcong attacks, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to see Russian Soldiers being ordered to leave an area (Bucha) that was hard fought and took them a lot of effort to take. Stuff like this happens more often in war than we care to admit. Still sucks though.
