Its amazing how Linkara is so adamant to ignore tie ins to comic books when they are obviously plot important and are still within the same medium, its not like hes reading a comic and has to watch a movie or read a novel for context, its still within his realm of """""expertise"""", he's basically lying to his audience by omission when he does so, and in doing so he loses out plenty of comedic moments which would make his videos more complete. Its like he doesnt review these comics to show their quality or lack there of, he reviews them as some sort of weird form of confirmation bias as in confirmation to himself, which is founded on a base of lies. Jesus Christ its like peering into the mind of a 16 year old Tumblrina only its a 40 year old fat balding knacker with no talent. It's like how he wouldn't touch on the tie ins to the first Civil War, even though those contained the most memetic moments (Captain America is out of touch because he doesn't know who won the last American Idol). There was a ton of material there that he was fully aware of and he ignored it.
His opinions on Power Rangers are definitely ones that havent aged well at all, unless its an obvious one that everyone shares. The only thing scary about The Lightbringer is that people used to take his opinions on comics and Power Rangers seriously.

You could probably go through his HOPR series and count dozens of mistakes or misquotes like that one, the only one that if anything has become more correct is the Sam Benta thing since he was caught on tape stealing shit (and basically said it on video). He had blamed Toei for megaforce/super megaforce citing a "can't skip seasons" clause that caused the issues there, but ignored that power rangers skipped gobusters, the series after gokaiger(super megaforce's source) was skipped for six years.
There's a guy that reacts to Linkara's videos, specifically the power rangers ones... those are pure cringe. You could probably go through his HOPR series and count dozens of mistakes or misquotes like that one, the only one that if anything has become more correct is the Sam Benta thing since he was caught on tape stealing shit (and basically said it on video).
Honestly the worst thing he's done is having someone make a copycat series for Kamen Rider which is somehow less funny and 10x worse.
The date does match up. Why couldn’t Lewis done analog horror instead of well his current line of work. He could be alexarkansas creating amazing stories like the monument mythos but unfortunately we got a dumpster fire that still burning.I can only assume that for April Fools day, Linkara wanted to show off what he could do after binging Welcome To Night Vale.
Nah, it’s not Nightvale.I can only assume that for April Fools day, Linkara wanted to show off what he could do after binging Welcome To Night Vale.
As someone who thinks analogue horror is played out, its so easy to tell the difference between the one with actual effort put into it with a story behind it that was planned out way in advanced and the one Linkara madeNah, it’s not Nightvale.
What you have here is someone who heard that Gemini Home Entertainment was made by one guy, decided “Hey, with my team of reviewers, we can match or even surpass the quality of that!”
Except nobody on the team could actually edit. Instead of analogue horror, you get… a weird audio drama that has a few extra found footage videos. The closest thing the series has in the sense of analogue horror is the insanely blatant GHI rip-off “campgrounds” video.
Compare both:
It’s more that he apparently went on a huge YT horror binge and then cobbled together various different aspects from it without a shred of originality to be seen.I still think he was 'inspired' by Marble Hornets, based on him tweeting about it a few weeks ago.
Mr Nightmare reads nosleep and creepypastas and gets on average a million views a vid. Horror youtube is very effective... if you are good at it.It’s more that he apparently went on a huge YT horror binge and then cobbled together various different aspects from it without a shred of originality to be seen.
Local58’s bumpers, Mandela’s calls, Gemini’s campgrounds, and MH’s found footage. Yet he’s not capable enough to understand why any of those things are effective.
I'm not going to watch his stuff but it's probably Lewis trying to branch out to show his creative side by copying things like Local 58. Problem is, like everything he's ever done, it's going to be derivative as hell.Hey WTH is he trying to do analog horror now?
I wouldn't say it's necessarily played out as there's still room for somebody creative to bring out something really good. But Lewis isn't creative. He's derivative. Every story he's done has been done before by somebody with more talent than him. He copies and tries to emulate them and fails. As someone who thinks analogue horror is played out, its so easy to tell the difference between the one with actual effort put into it with a story behind it that was planned out way in advanced and the one Linkara made
Oddly enough, a long time ago, somebody asked if his storylines were an attempt to create something like Marble Hornets back when they were still new and exciting. He said something to the effect of that he wasn't good enough or talented enough to pull it off. But maybe since his web show isn't pulling in the same numbers and money that it was before he's trying to branch out. If anything he's still trying to prove to people that he's better than Doug.I still think he was 'inspired' by Marble Hornets, based on him tweeting about it a few weeks ago.
Yeah, horror on YT can be big, especially webseries. With those, when you have a real passion for the idea, that can really show even if you don’t have the budget for it.Mr Nightmare reads nosleep and creepypastas and gets on average a million views a vid. For an odd note about this project, the epilogue credits includes Lupa and Nash, classic #CTC alumni… and also, in a significant role, Fard Muhammad. Forget who that is even though the name sounds slightly familiar? He makes Doug’s intros and still actively works with him. For all Lewis’ Twitter posturing about how terrible Doug is, he has no issue working with someone from that crew, apparently.I'm not going to watch his stuff but it's probably Lewis trying to branch out to show his creative side by copying things like Local 58. Problem is, like everything he's ever done, it's going to be derivative as hell.
Either that or it's some kind of April Fool's joke that a lot of people on Channel Autism used to do.

Or someone who can actually draw, like WTF does that title card have to do with civil war? Jesus Christ Doug's title cards have become unsettling cringe especially when he shows off his rotten teeth but at least they have something to do with the movie he's reviewing.you'd figure at this point he'd have a HD Camera.
Linkara did have a big "APRIL FOOLS" at the end of the last video, so I can only assume that this is a one off thing.Either that or it's some kind of April Fool's joke that a lot of people on Channel Autism used to do.
At least with local 58 was more fun than Lewis.I'm not going to watch his stuff but it's probably Lewis trying to branch out to show his creative side by copying things like Local 58. Problem is, like everything he's ever done, it's going to be derivative as hell.

That's... That's not how April fool's works.Linkara did have a big "APRIL FOOLS" at the end of the last video, so I can only assume that this is a one off thing.
read the comments. Just his weird sicophants gushing on how 'great' it is. He is a great case study on what it's like to live in his own echo chamber. Is he trying to live up to the "it'll be out when it's out" meme for the sake of a April Fools "joke"?
