Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

Compared to season 1, it could be viewed as such.

But then, let's compare the others:

Might as well hand it over to the Family Guy guy... oh wait, he's now owned by Disney, isn't he?
Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder why it was more successful.

There's been a few cases of characters getting depression in 24th century Trek, but it's always been in response to some kind of traumatic event, like with Troi when she temporarily lost her empathic powers, Nog after one of his legs got blown off, and Torres after she found out that the Maquis had been wiped out. I'd guess that the "I'm feeling down because reasons shut up don't bother me I just want to be alone" kind of depression doesn't exist in the 24th century, but Picard probably is still aware of the general concept of it.
Eh, I'd say that's fairly normal. Given ST therapies are apparently effective enough to "cure" most forms of crime, then its probably resolved without incident more often than not. But people who just feel sad or unhappy for vague personal reasons(that even they can't articulate) is something that would still exist I think, even in a society as advanced and therapeutically inclined as the Federation.

They haven't found bacteria in space yet. People assume it is there, and finding it would change nothing. There's evidence of water on Mars. Doesn't change anything. There's even frozen water on the moon. No one cares.

Any impact of alien life won't be until something complex is found. Even then, it'll be something like a space telescope detects signs of life in a faraway Exo planet's atmosphere and no one will care. Beyond, "that's interesting." Then forget or think it had already been discovered.
Even if there is major discovery of alien life, all it takes is one irrelevant and insignificant "problem" to distract people. Remember when the European Space Agency successfully landed a satellite on an asteroid years after it was launched? It should have been a historical achievement for physics and mathematics. Instead the bigger story was one the head scientist had the audacity to wear a t-shirt that had sexy women on it when he was interviewed and the whiny harpies threw a fit.

That moment in space exploration was overshadowed by the faux outrage and the scientist, rather than telling these bitches to shut up, made a tearful apology. So a hypothetical first contact could be ruined because someone didn't say the correct pronouns.

Probably because Seth MacFarlane was smart enough to realize that A) a lot of people are so fucking done with grimdark, arc-based sci-fi, and B) even if they weren't, Star Trek isn't the right franchise to try pulling that kind of storytelling, at least not to any more of an extent than DS9 did.

I mean Picard season 2, not the Orville.

Hahah I do remember that. I bet it's not even mentioned in newer history books now because muh sexism.

We deserve all the terrible things that happen to us.

The irony of making Trek NFTs as the ST Picard characters whine about muh climate in 2024.
I know the energy thing related to NTFs is bullshit but it's still funny.

It's very pathetic even if this season was a success.

What is amusing is, even if they somehow managed to pull off something good. It'll just show how pathetic everything else has been.

There's almost a burden on them to underdeliver to not look so pathetic. To not show how much they have fucked up.

Add to this when a team member of something like 150 scientists across the world first managed to photograph a black hole. One random young woman posted on her social media she was involved. Suddenly the media was reporting this singular female was responsibly for the whole project. "Yay Women!!!"

Then when people pointed out she was just one low-level person involved, we got a wave of, "why must you point that out, you misogynist."

As facts don't matter anymore, just narrative.

What the fuck kind of Connie refit is this bullshit?
reminds me sorta of White Base from Gundam, despite that one zeek ship just being an upside down stretched out 1701
tbh one of the Infinite Kitbashes Infinite Combinations like the ancient TOS manual or the old Starfleet Battles probably already did that layout
