Update on the pedo judge

Article: https://longisland.news12.com/senate-poised-to-confirm-jackson-to-supreme-court

The Senate is expected to confirm Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson on Thursday, securing her place as the first Black woman on the high court and giving President Joe Biden a bipartisan endorsement for his historic pick.

Three Republican senators have said they will support Jackson, who would replace Justice Stephen Breyer when he retires this summer. While the vote will be far from the overwhelming bipartisan confirmations for Breyer and other justices in decades past, it will still be a significant bipartisan accomplishment for Biden in the narrow 50-50 Senate after GOP senators aggressively worked to paint Jackson as too liberal and soft on crime.

“It will be a joyous day,” said Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer as he announced Thursday's vote late Wednesday evening. “Joyous for the Senate, joyous for the Supreme Court, joyous for America.”

Jackson, a 51 year-old federal appeals court judge, would be just the third Black justice, after Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas, and the sixth woman. She would join two other women, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, on the liberal side of a 6-3 conservative court. With Justice Amy Coney Barrett sitting at the other end of the bench, four of the nine justices would be women for the first time in history.

After a bruising hearing in which Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee aggressively interrogated Jackson on her sentencing record, three GOP senators came out and said they would support her. The statements from Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Utah Sen. Mitt Romney all said the same thing - they might not always agree with Jackson, but they found her to be enormously well qualified for the job.

Collins and Murkowski both decried the increasingly partisan confirmation process, which Collins called “broken” and Murkowski called “corrosive” and “more detached from reality by the year.”

Biden, a veteran of a more bipartisan Senate, said from the beginning that he wanted support from both parties for his history-making nominee, and he invited Republicans to the White House as he made his decision. It was an attempted reset from three brutal Supreme Court battles during President Donald Trump’s presidency, when Democrats vociferously opposed the nominees, and from the end of President Barack Obama’s, when Republicans blocked Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland from getting a vote.

Before the Senate Judiciary Committee last month, Jackson said her life was shaped by her parents’ experiences with racial segregation and civil rights laws that were enacted a decade before she was born.

With her parents and family sitting behind her, she told the panel that her “path was clearer” than theirs as a Black American. Jackson attended Harvard University, served as a public defender, worked at a private law firm and was appointed as a member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission in addition to her nine years on the federal bench.

“I have been a judge for nearly a decade now, and I take that responsibility and my duty to be independent very seriously,” Jackson said. “I decide cases from a neutral posture. I evaluate the facts, and I interpret and apply the law to the facts of the case before me, without fear or favor, consistent with my judicial oath.”

Once sworn in, Jackson would be the second youngest member of the court after Barrett, 50. She would join a court on which no one is yet 75, the first time that has happened in nearly 30 years.

Jackson’s first term will be marked by cases involving race, both in college admissions and voting rights. She has pledged to sit out the court’s consideration of Harvard’s admissions program since she is a member of its board of overseers. But the court could split off a second case involving a challenge to the University of North Carolina’s admissions process, which might allow her to weigh in on the issue.

Republicans spent the hearings interrogating her sentencing record on the federal bench, including the sentences she handed down in child pornography cases, which they argued were too light. Jackson pushed back on the GOP narrative, declaring that “nothing could be further from the truth” and explaining her reasoning in detail. Democrats said she was in line with other judges in her decisions.

The GOP questioning in the Judiciary committee stuck for many Republicans, though, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said in a floor speech Wednesday that Jackson “never got tough once in this area.”

Democrats criticized the Republicans’ questioning.

“You could try and create a straw man here, but it does not hold,” said New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker at the committee’s vote earlier this week. The panel deadlocked on the nomination 11-11, but the Senate voted to discharge it from committee and moved ahead with her confirmation.

In an impassioned moment during the hearings last month, Booker, who is also Black, told Jackson that he felt emotional watching her testify. He said he saw “my ancestors and yours” in her image.

“But don’t worry, my sister,” Booker said. “Don’t worry. God has got you. And how do I know that? Because you’re here, and I know what it’s taken for you to sit in that seat.”
lol at “You could try and create a straw man here, but it does not hold,” STRAWMAN STRAWMAN did I time travel back a decade when reddit and skeptics were using that word on a daily basis during GamerGate? God these fucks are insufferable.

A war President has never lost an election after all.
No one cares about Ukraine-Russia other than NPCs, the political class, and mega corps. Look at the google search results. Its bottoming out. I'm pretty sure people would vote for someone else to get us out of there.

You're a house nigger and cut from the same cloth as Jackson-Brown.

So now, it appears someone is trying to have Trump charged with contempt of court over his civil probe in NY. Gracious, they're desperate.

New York attorney general wants Trump held in contempt, fined $10,000 per day

New York's attorney general asked a state judge Thursday to issue an order of contempt against former President Donald Trump, claiming he has failed to comply with a previous ruling requiring him to turn over documents by March 31 as part of an investigation into his company's financial practices. The office of New York Attorney General Letitia James also requested that Trump be fined $10,000 a day until he complies with the ruling.

Trump and two of his children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, were ordered on Feb. 17 to appear for depositions in James' long-running civil fraud probe. They appealed the order to appear, but did not at that time challenge a separate part of that ruling in which Donald Trump was ordered to comply with a subpoena "seeking documents and information." The judge ordered Trump to comply with the demand for documents and information by March 3, and later extended that deadline to March 31 — a date that was agreed to by both sides at the time, according to a court document. In Thursday's filing, James' office said Trump has not only failed to comply with that order, but in recent days raised objections to it.

James' office said in Thursday's filing that Trump's attorneys later indicated that he would not produce any of the subpoenaed documents "because his counsel (based on search efforts that have not been divulged) could not find any." "The judge's order was crystal clear: Donald J. Trump must comply with our subpoena and turn over relevant documents to my office," James said in a statement. "Instead of obeying a court order, Mr. Trump is trying to evade it. We are seeking the court's immediate intervention because no one is above the law."

An attorney for Trump did not immediately return a request for comment. James' office claimed in a February press release that its wide-ranging investigation has collected evidence "showing that Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization used fraudulent and misleading financial statements to obtain economic benefit." The initial focus of the probe was on whether the Trump Organization inflated the valuations of assets while seeking loans and insurance coverage, and deflated their value to reduce tax liability.

James' investigation was cited by accounting firm Mazars USA in a Feb. 9 letter recanting a decade of financial statements compiled for the Trump Organization. As part of its probe, James' office is also seeking information from a second accounting firm that did work for Trump's company, RSM US LLP. Trump and the company have repeatedly denied all allegations of wrongdoing. He called the investigation "unconstitutional" in a Dec. 20 phone call with CBS News, and referred to himself as "an aggrieved and innocent party." That day, Trump filed a federal suit aiming to halt James' investigation.

In Thursday's motion, James' office said Trump and his company have also stymied efforts by HaystackID, a company hired by court-order to collect so-called eDiscovery material, which includes documents and data. "The Trump Organization is not presently searching any of Mr. Trump's custodial files or devices, and has no intention of doing so between now and April 15, 2022," James' office wrote in Thursday's filing. Jame's investigation has run parallel to a separate criminal probe run by the Manhattan District Attorney's office. That investigation, which on July 1, 2021 led to charges against the Trump Organization and its CFO, appears stalled.

Two leading prosecutors, Carey Dunne and Mark Pomerantz, resigned in February, less than two months after newly-elected Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg took office, succeeding Cyrus Vance Jr., who launched the investigation in August 2018. In Pomerantz's resignation letter, which was published in The New York Times, Pomerantz wrote that Bragg "reached the decision … not to seek criminal charges at the present time." A spokesperson for Bragg said recently that the investigation is ongoing.

Cope, seethe, and dilate, establishment sheboon. You'll never catch Teflon Don, no matter how hard you try,

I'll be honest, all the sabre rattling by the Dem's and their MSM lackey's plus listening too Biden's last speech has me kinda spooked.

The NY Times just put out a poll/blog (I won't call it journalism) saying that 80% of American's see Russia as their enemy now and would approve of "some kind of military response" against them. So of course this is getting parroted by all the usual suspects and is making the rounds.

A weak President, terrible polls and and looking to be disastrous mid-terms all mixed with the PotUS and the MSM hinting/pushing that Russia needs to be punished...has me a wee bit worried.

Is the Democratic machine desperate enough to roll the dice on Nuclear Armageddon to save their agenda? Would they be stupid and/or arrogant enough to bet the future on humanity on Putin not risking using his nuclear arsenal if pushed against the wall?

I know chances are low but...how far are the Dem's willing to go to stay in power? Do they see war vs Russia as a possible solution to their current problems?

I dunno...I'm honestly concerned that the cabal will see American boots in Ukraine as a solution to their woes. A war President has never lost an election after all.

Fun times we live in.
Don't underestimate Biden's ultra instinct to fuck shit up.
You'd have to be literally retarded to think Biden would be a better war president than a Muppet.
Then again, Americans aren't that smart, so anything could happen.

I have to think if war with Russia DOES happen, it won't happen until after the Midterms. Sort of a scorch earth spiteful move by Biden in the even that they can't steal the 2022 Midterms with the added bonus that Biden would use the war to try and stifle ANY investigation of him by a GOP controlled Congress.

Doesn't count as Bush Sr explicitly wrapped up Desert Storm so it was over before the 1992 election season kicked off. To his credit, he explicitly refused to drag the war out via invasion of Iraq and honored his proclamation that Desert Storm was about liberating Kuwait.

In Biden's case, he'd be banking explicitly on another forever war to trigger the clause where during an ongoing war America has never changed Presidents.

AP: Pelosi positive for COVID-19, was at White House with Biden

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19, a day after appearing unmasked at a White House event with President Joe Biden.

Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic, her spokesman Drew Hammill said Thursday in a tweet. He said she had tested negative earlier in the week.

“The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided,” Hammill said.

Pelosi will “quarantine consistent with CDC guidance, and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, boosted and test regularly,” he said.

The 82-year-old Democratic leader’s announcement came ahead of her weekly press appearance on Capitol Hill. The House is set to start a two week spring recess.
But I suspect then that SOB surely taked Ivermectin or HCQ under the table knowing then the vaccine was a POS unless she used saline solution substitute instead.

Remember, Pelosi wanted the nuclear codes in late 2020, and even General White Rage rebuffed her. As to why she wanted them, the only reason I can come up with is she wanted to launch a missile into Beijing/Moscow and blame it on Trump insecurely lashing out after his election “loss.” with the establishment and sycophantic media willing to carry this narrative and bury the truth. Why would she do such a thing? Because the resulting mess from such an action (especially if the narrative is that a butthurt republican president kicked off a nuclear war because he lost) would tarnish the GOP brand for a century.

Never underestimate what these insane, power-hungry cunts will do to obtain and MAINTAIN power. And absolute power is a wet dream to those terminally in politics.

If they're smart, they won't roll the dice. The High-altitude EMP detonations will delete their bank accounts and stock holdings. Hopefully the only thing they hold above "party success" is their own accumulated wealth.

But bugmen aren't the smartest insects and they're backed into a corner.

I want real war with Russia to happen because America will get BTFO and it will destroy the passive conservative mindset that thinks somehow we're going to vote our way out of this. Most Americans are dopey and don't see Afghanistan as a loss but another "botched withdrawal". But the people pushing for war are just going for more proxy wars so they can arm "insurgents" in Ukraine for the next 30 years.

Be careful what you wish for. You might get it.

Nigga war with Russia means nuclear war, everyone on Earth will get BTFO by the power of the atom.

Here's something I'd like to see: legislation that mandates all retractions must be printed, in full, on the first page. Above the headline.

I imagine the fishwraps will have a sudden, ironclad interest in integrity and truthfulness.
No.

Better idea.
In the front page, in every newspaper, in every article: The website has to print how many articles they've created, and how many retractions (no matter how fucking minute) they've had to make. Not per year, not per month, not per week. In total.

In every journalist page is also how many retractions they've had to do - without the amount of articles they've made.

This system works twofold - to show the 'accuracy' of their reporting is, with absolutely no method of circumventing it other than outright not inputting said retraction amount which would then prove 100% fraudulent. While also forcing any retard that wants to figure out the statistic to do math because fuck the retards.

And coupled with the journalist 'accuracy' statistic, will forcefully make journalists focus more on the accuracy of their news instead of the quantity, while also creating a pseudo-competition wherein they get to blame everything on 'that guy.' Thus indirectly eliminating the toxic atmosphere I assume journos keep bitching about - by replacing it with an even worse one they themselves will make.

In regard to the student debt thing.

We need to make a call. Is this administration aimless/retarded/lacking in leadership and direction/focus?

Or are they machilvilian in their 5D chess?

I think its a simple matter of political capital, it would be un popular to the prog faction and they can get to it later like after the mid terms.
It doesn't take machiavelli to realize putting a carrot on a stick will make rabbits go wherever you want, or pigs, or whatever the fucking analogy is.

This isn't a made for TV movie. Putin will be satisfied using tactical nukes on whatever we send and doing the Morpheus "come at me" hand gesture. He's not going to nuke New York.

Trust me, I read the odd political article on the internet. I know how Putin's mind works.
