Star Trek - Space: The Final Frontier

I'm not watching Picard embarrassingly Biden his way across a TV screen lol
The most depressing exit behind a curtain since my child's cremation.

What's even more depressing. Is that I feel like Shanter gives a better performance in that recent planet fitness commercial I saw with him than Stewart's whole performance in Picard.
Honestly, a lot of it comes down to Stewart's old man, paper thin voice. He just sounds doddering and pathetic.

Somehow Shatner has retained his baritone pipes - probably because he's carrying around a few extra pounds.

A lot of people say it's good to be thin when your older. But not always sometimes its good to have some pounds as you get older. For instance my one grandfather is very skinny and has alot of health problems. Sometimes being skinny does not = good health.

I guess it depends on the person.

Idk but somebody said Stewart smokes a lot of weed. Makes sense because he seems like his brain is baked.

Yeah, I don't think Stewart's forgotten how to act, it's just that his voice has gotten too weak to carry the principled, authoritative air that we expect from the character. His best acting in this series was when Picard was LARPing as that space pirate in the first season, and actually managed to get one or two genuine laughs out of some Outrageous Okona-level gags.

Speaking of acting, I'll give the show some unironic praise for one thing - Annie Wersching is legitimately pretty good as the Borg Queen. Not as good as Alice Krige, obviously, but I think she does a better job than the actress who played her for most of her Voyager appearances.

I'd say the garbage scripts have more to do with it. Remember when he was arguing with that Romulan Senator? A total misunderstanding of Picard's character and it robs Picard of a moral moment.

So the other day I discovered that there was published back in 2009, a TNG manga.

Given how hard this is to find, I scanned in the first today so it can shared here with you. Why? Because it features Wesley.

And because it is sooooo much funnier now in present day where the author and actor of this would have gotten lynched by their allies.

The first one in the original series set is the best. A nice orign atory for the Borg that doesnt reek of Brannon Braga jism.Borg.jpg
