What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

He was one of the channels that jumped on the "everyone who hated TLJ is an entitled bitch" bandwagon. I had heard he's since moved past it and wanted to forget it, but I just haven't been interested in watching him since then.

I doubt anyone's watched them, and if you do, you're probably as autistic as me. But one of the podcasts/youtube channels I recently discovered and then hastily un-discovered is a Souls (mostly Bloodborne) themed lore channel called Sinclair Lore. I really enjoyed the deep dives into cut content, the 1.0 version of Bloodborne and the differences it has with the final patch, and their general deep understanding of the story and universe on offer in the Souls games. It was a (slightly) less gay version of Vaati with a bit of Lance Macdonald thrown in. Good background noise. The girl could be a little annoying sometimes, trying real hard to be 'le quirky snack covenant xD!' but Richie was smart and insightful and had a charming voice.

Then, Richie fucking trooned out, and now every video has him putting on this awful pseudo breathy girl voice and also trying to be a bit more quirky like the girl he desperately wants to be. It's so strange, because it seemed like the guy had his head on straight, and I really genuinely believe that Sin fucking groomed him into becoming a tranny. While still fairly tolerable by obnoxious troon standards, I can't handle hearing some deep-voiced dude imitate a woman's cadance and tone for an hour plus, at least, not for fucking Souls lore. It has brought me no small measure of joy to see their views plummet considerably post-transition.

This one was kinda sad because these guys were one of my go-to channels in early high school. Over time I sorta gradually just stopped watching them less and less for no particular reason and then I came back a few years later and found that Matt who was the edgy dark humor guy had done a full 180 and was now an SJW type to the point where he made apologized for a time in their Resident Evil 2 let's play where he made Leon did a nazi salute and said that him doing that ruined the entire let's play. That was a big red flag to me and eventually after stuff like Matt complaining about Jared Fogle being a boss in South Park Fractured But Whole and Johnny writing off Persona 3 simply because he thinks that the protagonists shooting themselves with fake guns to summon their persona is distasteful and just overall not really enjoying their newer content I just decided it was time to walk away.

I still watch Johnny's main channel though, I think his reviews are still pretty good and doesn't have too much stuff creeping into it but I really don't have any interest in watching a let's play from him and the others. Also I'd dread to see what a modern day Brainscratchcomms let's play is like, I never liked them as much as I liked SGB and I could only imagine they would be even worse than modern SGB.

i tried looking up the resident evil 2 apology and couldn't find anything, was he really autistic enough to randomly bring it up in the middle of another let's play? also it's hella interesting and revealing that every single person johnny associated with ended up an insufferable NPC like himself

I recently checked back in with them while playing Elden Ring and found it out myself. There's a lot of shit in Elden ring that's clearly just repurposed cut content from Dark Souls 3, and I was curious to see if anyone else was talking about it. Really goofy shit.

I used to enjoy a Tuber called CinemaWins. He'd only talked about the great things in movies and not the flaws. It was a welcome change from all the negativity that surrounds the movie review scene.

Then I watched his Matrix review and he went all in on the Tranny angle, talking about how Switch was a tranny, how visionary the Watchoski "sisters" are in making such a stunning and brave allegory about tranny's and so on. Plus he gave way to much credit to the "sisters" for all the "deep and philosophical" themes in the movie.

Shit boi, The Matrix is about a deep as a puddle when it comes to existential thinking. It's baby's first primer on what is reality.

I'm glad there are people out there that agree, and not just because they hate Jim. Even if I agree with someone, the moment they lower themselves to le epic zingers and one-liners, I lose respect for them. Digital Homicide are everything wrong with "indie games", but Jim acting like that smug nerd everyone hated in middle school made them somehow look professional. And of course, all the Youtube comments are about how Jim is EPICLY ROASTING AND DUNKING ON DI-GAY-TAL HOMO-CIDE LEL LEL. It's very telling who his audience is.

Anyway, my main takeaway from this whole thread is that there are basically three reasons people abandon a Youtuber:

1. Trooning out
2. Jumping on political bandwagons
3. Just getting old and boring

Numbers 1 and 2 are hugely overrepresented. 1 also arguably counts as 2, so really it's just that people don't like it when Youtubers start gassing on about Current Thing. It's blindingly obvious if you pay any attention. Yet it's also still very common.

Jumping on political bandwagons

For me it's almost definitely that one. I don't think any of the channels I follow I have trooned out, and as for being stale/boring, I'll still subscribe but just watch not as often (mainly for news/commentary channels that have the same old shtick). For the latter example, I'm subscribed to ReviewTechUSA, but I don't hit the bell notification and don't keep track of his uploads, but once a few weeks or so I'll randomly check his channel and listen to a couple of minutes of a video if the topic looks interesting.

But yeah, I've definitely unsubscribed from channels after they went woke, virtue signalled, said retarded shit on Twitter, or just wedged in unnecessary TDS. Think of former Channel Awesome creators for that type of thing.

His co host Danny tried to rebuff it at first, but he's pretty spineless and eventually agreed and said he can see why that would be a good thing to do. Huh I guess subconsciously that's why I could never enjoy his content these days, but unlike him Varg is still entertaining as ever to me but I know zero about his political beliefs.

That aside a youtuber that I stopped watching because of one video would be H3H3 years ago when he dropped that Leafy callout video, I felt like I was the only one that could smell the bullshit fakeness of the drama of Leafy "bullying" people. Sure his videos have aged like milk, but I don't want to hear from a guy who did the same exact thing of reacting to "cringe" content and people. I have no regretted my decision ever since, never even seen Vape Nation and by the Lord I will never watch any of his podcasts they just seem dreadful.

Based on a recommendation I watched one episode of the Well There's Your Problem podcast about some deep sea explosive decompression tragedy and thought it was really informative and neat. The podcasters introduced themselves, and then introduced their pronouns, and I honestly, seriously thought they were just taking the piss because one of them in the most regular guy voice you could think of said "she/her, fuck you." Then they all laughed. Then I started watching another video and it registered with me. One of them is not just a tranny, but a muslim convert tranny communist.

I did not watch a second episode.

I used to watch the show early on, and the commentary was usually generally funny (if you dog pragmatic and grim) and the studied insight of an engineer into actual engineering failures was top notch, and while I didn't mind Alice at first, it's evident that she has nothing to say. She's never funny, and "she" doesn't sound like a girl, so the whole show is two bros talking about concrete fractures with a cartoon character babbling nonsense in the background with some cool guest hosts occasionally, and then more "Alice's friends" cohosts that detract from the marginal enjoyment to be had already because of Alice's presence. It's a shame the two actually interesting and entertaining guys are willing to so vocally defend their friendship with a strange loon (who I believe has a thread here) who cannot do anything but drag the content down. It is a shame, to say the least. The moment I dropped WTYP is when I was at work and listened to an actual "Muslim" guy banter with Alice, a white British Muslim trans woman, about renovations and building projects near Mecca. I gave up after hearing these two talk about the Islamic faith, one with a lot of true, die-hard believers who will die by their laws, and it's literal Main Destination in such a callous, disenfranchised way. A real Muslim wouldn't even entertain an outsider like Alice and their wicked-ass ways and talk about the Black Cube. Bismallah!

The game is quite detailed in game play styles and the lore needs you to analyze everything. Autists love it because the weapons are varied and you can be very in depth for your stats. You can also play various ways that makes it harder.

It's built for autists and trannies like doing autistic shit like categorizing gender in 1k subtypes and having to uphold gender stereotypes because anything in a grey area makes them uncomfortable.

He actually spent hours upon hours rendering, modelling, adding sfx and vfx to this, a theoretical F U to Russia as if the entire country including their rocket and space station development is responsible for a military decision.

Weird autist recommendation: I know it's not astrophysics, but if you want highly technical breakdowns of large machinery and functional failures, I highly recommend the USCSB YouTube channel. It covers accidents and hazards in various industries like mining, underwater welding, and chemical manufacturing. It's a little more grim being a safety channel though.
