I couldn't find another source so might as well be bs.

I hope that art was done by Coach Red Pill, but yeah after checking the clip again a lot of them are on their phones. What a way to go.

edit: I'm still confused about the whole situation. Ukrainian soldiers hanging out near a disabled tank(?) and then a lone tank rolls down the road and due to the circumstances they assume it's one of their own? This implies the Russians felt comfortable getting that close so did the tank lack Z markings? Was it a captured Ukrainian tank?
Maybe the Ukrainians thought it was a freshly captured Russian tank?

It has got to be one of the sneakiest tank kills in history.
Or the Russian tank thought it were Russian soldiers checking out the disabled tank?

No. They just enjoy painting Russians as cavemen to sell the entire "they only attacked us because of how PROSPEROUS we became under DEMOCRACY" spiel. "Putin is AFRAID his own cave people will see how PROSPEROUS we are and TOPPLE HIS REGIME with their clubs and stones, which is why he sees Ukraine is a threat. Send more money and weapons."

Couple of weeks ago they were claiming Russians saw paved roads and street lamps for the first time. Not kidding.

yep Yank media did that same cope after Sep 11. Osama Bin Laden; from a rich as fuck saudi construction family... attacked America only because of how FREE AND PROSPEROUS it was. I think America is alone in attacking another nation basically because they feared it would become too prosperous and make the west look bad [Libya]

That sounds HORRIFYING. Looks like the NY maintenance department is really something. Man, and I thought leaky pipes in the 60's commieblocks were bad.
Our infrastructure has been neglected for decades. Trump, having worked in construction and real estate in NYC was well aware of this and tried to get funds to fix it but of course he was shot down by Congress because he's Cheeto Hitler. Biden's infrastructure bill would have doled out money to everyone and everything, except to fix our infrastructure, it was just good old fashioned pork. I'm glad his also died but we still have roads, bridges and pipes that are falling apart.

Naturally, the Ukrainean side claims it is fake, which it may very well be, so take it with a pile of salt.

But in less self-interested terms, I would say because I do not regard Russia as the aggressor in this conflict. Now if one's awareness of this situation really only began with recent Western coverage and doesn't delve into the underlying causes either, which is the case for many people in the West, then that will sound a bit bonkers: "Russia is the invader". But if you've been following this for a long time, if you understand how Russia can plausibly see Ukraine joining NATO is an existential threat to it, if you have followed what the West / NATO did to Libya and other countries, then it's a valid point of view to say Russia isn't the aggressor here. Sure, they threw a punch before the noose was completely around their neck, but wasn't that noose being tightened? I think so.
I am not convinced Russia is not the agressor.

Sure, NATO did interfere in politics and delivered arms to the Ukies, expecting a war, but Russia has no reason to invade besides "waaa we can't have a bordering country join NATO".
And Ukraine was inflicting suffering on ethnic Russians in its borders. That's undeniable. I also believe in the right to self-determination. Crimea should be Russian, not Ukranian. And Zelensky shutting off water to the people there and announcing that they could "have water when they gave up on independence" bothers me. Someone said Donbass is a murkier situation than Crimea, granted. But there were still numerous crimes perpetrated on the people there by the Ukranian govt and it's Azov ultranationalists. Putin can at least reasonably state that he was more or less fairly elected. Does anyone here believe that the Orange revolution and the Maiden revolts weren't heavily backed and organized by the West?
I have heavy doubts of the "Russian Victim" narrative. The thing is, I fail to find any source acknowledging other than people (that happen pro Russia in this war) mention this at all.

I've yet to see a proper source or mention of it before this war.
Really, if you ask me how is Russia better than US / NATO, the shortest answer is that I think they're less culpable for the war happening than US / NATO. We had every chance of the last eight years to defuse this situation, to actually have meaningful discussions. Instead, we have egged Zelensky on with entirely predictable results. And I really mean that. Because it was predicted by many very clearly. And we continue to buoy him up in conflict with the best interests of the ordinary people who are actually living in Ukraine.
There's no doubt Zelensky is corrupt. But I don't think either leaders have the interests of the people living in Ukraine.
If it was about morality or suffering we wouldn't have done what we did to Libya, we wouldn't be turning a blind eye to what is happening in Yemen. And a dozen other examples. From Russia's point of view, this is a war against an existential threat. From US/NATO's point of view, this is a war about coming up against a country that refuses to accept its hegemony, threatens to rival the USA's (vastly inflated) dollar as the global reserve currency; and an opportunity to pump up military spending for shareholders in Raytheon, etc. and distract from Biden's ailing presidency.
Yea I see that being the case, and a lot of bankers will make money off of this, but I'm pretty sure Biden's presidency has anything to do with this.

Believe it or not, he's not as important outside of US as he is in the US. Nobody talks about his latest speech or gaffe or whatever. People talked about Trump because of the Trump Derangement Syndrome, but people pretty much stopped caring about US presidents after that.

Thanks for your reply.

That would be an awkward moment but I guess it's better to be in the tank than not in that scenario.

Just saw Vince post this pic in the other thread saying it was green on green. This is the most HD shot I've ever seen from it so I assume there's some clever editing to try to enhance to uncover something.

I've been unable to tell based off of any actual webms but the guy recording seems to definitely be right by people with blue on their uniform, only visible for a couple of frames. The uniforms are also not the standard Russian green uniforms I'm familiar with.

Dear Ukrainian people.
We are the 36th Navy Brigade named after the counter-admiral Mikhail Bilinsky, left Crimea without betraying the oaths of 2014 and continued to perform the duty of defense of Ukraine.
From the beginning of the exit we have been defending Mariupol for 47 days. We were bombed from airplanes, we were shot from artillery, tanks and other firematerials. We kept the defense worthy by doing the impossible. But any resources have a potential to run out.
During the combat, we were once handed 50 122 guns, 20 min a little enlavs and starlink Elon Musk - spybo Elon, he had a lot of air strikes and still works. We have not been handed over any more. Without the possibility of defending themselves, the opponent gradually pushed us to the Azovmash plant, surrounded the fire and now is trying to destroy us. There was an option to bring us reserves to strengthen and boost the defense. There were options for the brigade to make a breakthrough and join their troops. We reported this to OTU East and they started planning the operation. Sodol, Delatitsky tried to do something, but their senior headquarters were closed. We reported about it in the OOS they said hold on we are working, promised a helicopter that never flew. We talked to the commander in chief who promised to unblock. We talked with a Garantee who guaranteed us either a political or military solution of the situation. For more than a month, the Marines fought without refilling ammunition, without food, without water, almost a lacquer from the puddle and died in packs. The mountain of wounded makes up almost half of the crew. Those who have unbroken limbs and can walk, return in order. Infantry all died and gunfighters are led by gunmen, zenitich, contacts of the driver and the police. Even an orchestra. Dying but fighting. Gradually we are coming to an end. Wise generals advise taking ammunition from your enemy. Probably not extinct these Sava parquettes, so many people will die for them in vain. There were chances. There were opportunities, but due to the silliness, they were not implemented. No one wants to communicate with us anymore because we are written. Today will probably be an extreme fight since there is no BC left. Next up into the palm of the hand. Further is death for some, but captivity for some.
Dear Ukrainian people.
I don't know what's next, but I really ask you to remember the Marines with a kind word and no matter how they develop further, do not talk badly about the Marines.
They did everything possible and impossible.
For we are FAITHFUL FOREVER!

I thought it might be interesting to note that despite the Sanctions, the US Treasury has allowed some bond payments from Russia to proceed, using their sanctioned reserves to pay its Sovereign Bond obligations - and ordered the payments to proceed.

What is interesting about this is that after all, it is Russia's reserves that have been "blocked" from access by the world, but they are allowing some payments to happen. So the reserves really aren't sanctioned but are being administered essentially by...who? Who decides when Russian sanctioned money can be used to pay a bill?

In every article they like to mention that other countries that held bonds got their dividend payment etc. but a few articles have working like below (copied), note some articles do not use the word sovereign debt bonds so possibly debts for other loans or obligations are also being released.

"A Treasury spokesperson told Bloomberg on Wednesday that U.S. individuals and institutions were allowed to receive "interest, dividend and maturity payments" from the Russian central bank—thus meaning U.S. sanctions wouldn't necessarily close off Russia’s ability to complete bond payments."

Note the words "individuals and institutions" So friends at JP Morgan and Citibank and individuals friendly with the US government may get money, but companies that are owed money from the Russian government are not allowed to get money from the reserves.

That's pretty slick. It's like the IRS freezing all my money, but letting the mortgage and credit card payment go through - and if I owe a buddy of the IRS some money they'll allow it go through also.

That's pretty slick. Wanna bet there are a bunch of lovely dinners and gifts being showered over the Treasury administration right now for some companies and banks that have money in Russia through railroad investments etc. to get their money back, too?

This is the sort of thing that pisses me off about Zelensky. To me, this message represents a lot of what egging this on is going to do to Ukrainians. It's valiant but unnecessary.
It's very sad, and such a waste. I wish everyone was forced to study the classics so they would know who Cicero was, and his famous line: Qui bono? Who benefits?

The average Ukrainian and Russian does not benefit from any of this, and neither do the ordinary people of this world.

I will stand for ZERO FUCKING SPAM SLANDER.. Fuck this russia/ukraine shit, i will be on the streets begging for a nuke if I hear any bad shit said about Spam.

Seriously though, it's not some random meat thrown in a can; it's basically ground up trimmings off spiral ham. It's a far superior product to hot dogs or bologna, it's pretty fuckign tasty sliced thin and fried in a touch of butter.

Don't fucking @ me either, with your anti spam lies

That old saying "all wars are bankers' wars" sounds more and more true over the years....

And one guy posted a blog post about the SOB Zelensky who might be worth to read.

Guys, I'm afraid the situation in Ukraine is worse than we thought. (:_( Somehow, in the midst of all the people being shot, burned alive, tortured, eviscerated and murdered, we've lost sight of what REALLY matters:

Ukrainian trans people struggling to access vital healthcare: ‘We need medication and hormones’

According to this true and honest woman, whose face definitely wasn't procedurally generated in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Ukraine desperately needs girl pills right now. And before you ask - yes! - they do accept donations. :c
