SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Gotta agree here, Backrooms is cool as a one-off thing but it’s hard to expand on it without feeling contrived. SCP on the other hand - the very existence of an “SCP-173” implies the existence of at least 172 other objects, and the idea of “extragovernmental entity that locks away supernatural phenomena” is a general idea that’s existed well before SCP and thus lends itself to easy fanfictioning.

SCPs suck so hard now because they gatekeep harder than RPC while also having shittier taste. Not to say RPC is some magical place where every entry is good: most are just barely rated above deletion and a decent amount of the "good" ones are just long, but they are better on average.

If you ever wanted a peak example for the state of SCP: I present SCP-6800 and more specifically TES' video on it.
The TL;DR: yet another djkaktus moralfagging #deep writing exercise disguised as SCP. Entire story is filled with plotholes all for the sake of making a message that essentially boils down to "climate change bad mmkay." Everyone is out of character, fae rules are completely misunderstood by the author, Holocaust metaphors are shoehorned in with the least subtlety possible and the "protagonist" is a lesbian fairy. The cherry on top? The author decided to chime in with this important piece of lore:

Ah yes the SCP foundation, known for its prevalent white washing and lack of diversity. Maybe it's because 99% of the articles have personnel names' completely redacted and there's no mention of identity politics because it's not fucking relevant to shit like an infinite Ikea or an anomalous vending machine. It couldn't possibly be that, it's the darned SCP fans (aka the hacker known as 4chan) with their discrimination. Luckily it seems like most people also hate this article, instead of repeating what they said I'll just post two comments I liked (thank you Sneed for the valuable insight, godspeed)

Why the fuck do they want "muh representation" in a shadowy bureaucratic morally grey organization? Did they miss articles like SCP-596 where the Foundation does something completely and utterly morally depraved for some nebulous "greater good"? Why do leftists always do this shit where no matter who a character/organization is, it always has to have current year values?

The funniest thing is the article’s defenders claiming it’s an important piece because it shows the dark side of the foundation, as if we don’t have thousands of other SCPs where the foundation makes horrifyingly depressing decisions. Like Jesus Christ, the whole D-Class system is literally committing human rights violations and it’s one of the biggest pillars of the entire canon.

Nu-SCP is full of people who can't write anything good to save their lives. It's a shithole

The biggest problem in this article isn’t that the Foundation is doing horrifically evil things to serve their warped perception of “the greater good”, or doing horrifically stupid things because of their extreme anti-anomaly, pro-humanity worldview.

They’re doing stupid and evil things because the article requires the Foundation to be stupid and evil to serve the message. There is literally no in-universe justification given for WHY the Foundation is doing what it’s doing, or WHY every single O5 seems happy to write off the snowstorm in the Amazon over the gateway to a dangerous anomaly as non-anomalous climate change without even a cursory investigation.

If you want to read an actually good article where the Foundation does extremely stupid and extremely evil things out of fear and ignorance while being completely true to their established characterization, just read Project Palisade.

I don't keep up with SCP too deeply lately, but haven't they made the organization a lot less grey and more white in the recent years?

Are you just talking about him trooning out or has he actually killed himself? The tranny thing is old news but I can't find any report of his suicide. He has deleted his twitter, though.
There's a few rumors circulating that he got addicted to pills because of his doctor and a friend who's on a discord with him said he hasn't responded to anything. They think the Twitter deletion is proof that he either OD'd on painkillers intentionally or accidentally. I should of lead with that.

Either OD'd or what?

It's a pity he's gone through a lot of shit lately. I really liked his series. Really hoping he's okay.

Alright, thank you. Until we have more evidence, I'm going to assume he's just baiting for attention. With another search, I've now found a /co/ thread claiming he died, but another post in the thread linked his Instagram, where he's still active.

If he OD'd accidentally why would he have had the forethought to delete his twitter first?

And bon appétit
My assumption was his roommate was deleting shit. I thought Bung was a fag before a tranny?

Supposedly his reddit and other stuff got deleted, too.
