This is the point I'd argue. I don't agree that inceldom is a big problem at all. I don't agree that we can conclude anything about it becoming more prevalent when any recent statistics about it are going to be confounded to hell and back by most of us being locked away during the pandemic for the last few years. And I absolutely disagree that it's anything that we need to be alarmed about (mostly because the mainstream media is starting to bark incessantly about how inceldom is some massive problem too, and if this place has taught you anything it should be to be extremely skeptical whenever the media starts parroting one of your ideas about reality).

1) It doesn't agree with my subjective reality or the reality of pretty much anyone (e.g. I see people, even ugly motherfuckers, meeting chicks and getting laid all the time, especially now that Fauci's Covid bullshit is starting to wrap up),
2) I do not trust the media's intentions for jumping so hard on this incel hate bandwagon lately. I think they're trying to inflate a non-problem about a negligible group of malcontents to ludicrous proportions so they can create another boogeyman that they'll use to justify further cancel culture/censorship/restriction of freedoms/etc etc, and I want no part of that shit.

Who cares? No, really. A man being an incel is 100% his own doing. It can be brought on by a large number of things but it's not society's responsibility to rehabilitate incels, even if it were inspired by some idea to save the declining birth rate because at the end of the day women are sentient humans and get to make the final decision on who they do and don't have sex with (and procreate with) and the nebulous needs of society doesn't negate that, otherwise we'd be living in the Handmaid's Tale universe. Incels fucked their own lives up by being entitled narcs who refuse to grow a personality besides hating women, and thankfully that is far beyond anyone else's responsibility. They made their sexless bed and now they have to lie in it.

The one thing I do agree with the incels about is that online dating is seriously damaging to young people.People would be better off meeting through friends or events like they did before the Internet was a thing. Additionally people treat relationships to casual nowadays. People just get together to have sex or because they don’t want to be alone. Instead of forming a meaningful connection with the person. A lot of these incels probably didn’t have a father or positive masculine role model growing up too.

I was more referring to your redditor, IncelTears type that are coming at it from less a perspective of "haha Elliot Rodger funny" and more of "wow, look at these misogynists! No wonder they can't find a girlfriend!" What's worse is that a great deal of them genuinely believe they're doing a service that needs doing by 'cataloging their behavior'. They really fit the classic definition of A-logging, that is mocking someone in a way that insinuates moral outrage while being not all that much better than the subject of your ire.

If you're gonna be a dick at least be honest about it, if only to yourself. Pretending you're doing it for a noble cause just makes you a cunt.
