Either take responsibility of your bad apples are just say you care more about cooming to child rape than protecting actual children. In case you didn't know, they're not actually in favor of freedom of speech. I grabbed a bunch of screenshots very early in this thread of shippers proclaiming if you are not pro ship you are anti vaxx and that TERFs should not be allowed to stand for women's rights. They are absolutely for speech laws and content regulation - albeit for them and them alone.

Fandom stooped being fun when people started to take fanfiction seriously, instead of swapping dirty stories amongst themselves and giggling at them. I have no fucking idea when anyone in current year would want to get involved in any fan community since the entire thing has been absolutely drained of lulz. An artist that turned into a proshipper after they got caught grooming a child. Reminds me of machojuice. She was a artist who used to draw alot of Bara porn until they got in contact with a underage minor and then ran to proshippers to prevent getting caught. Here is a link to the victims call out. Plus alot of other people caught wind of it and made there own call outs against her too. Also it was so bad they even took her user name handle cause of how bad it has gotten. Needless to say proshippers are a great haven to protect predators cause they don't question anything and would rather see your drawn cp art than care for actual victims.
