What I don't get is how they go on about the tragedy of someone whose lost someone they love being in denial of it. Like you can have that and NOT have it devolve into corpse fucking. I recently finished Oyasumi Punpun, the ending of which has a solid example of such a plot point, obvious spoilers.

After Aiko kills herself, Punpun spends the rest of the day pretending as if she's still alive. He's too far gone in his state of mental distress to be able to process her death, and ends up carrying her as if he was giving her a piggy back ride, going on about all the things they could do together once they settle down.

You can have tragedy without resorting to porn. I don't know why people keep wanting to turn every sort of tragedy or trauma into smut- it kills the message. It's not erotic to be assaulted, it's not erotic to fuck a corpse, it's not erotic to have a family member make a move on you. These people are so fucking porn-brained they can't fathom writing a story with actual weight and meaning to it's depictions of trauma. If you can't write about a sensitive topic in a way that's tactful then don't write about it at all.
