China’s exports as a share of their gdp has halved in a decade, the US is entirely reliant on Chinese machinery, metals, and other manufactured goods, Mexico and SEA combined wouldnt even make up a quarter of the loss and would likely side with China in a geopolitical conflict(in SEA’s case) or stay neutral.

You claiming that China has done nothing to make it less reliant on us money is laughably dumb.

Trump started a trade war with Chyna and they cried uncle in a month. The reason is their whole economy is predicated on exports. Same as Germany.

Kinda surprised people are seeing this as Ukraine vs Russia and not Nato vs Russia with all the equipment and intelligence given to Ukraine and not to mention all the men on the ground from the US/UK/France. No I wouldn't but idk that that's what's happening in Ukraine. With all the troops doing "exercises" and "training" around the area it wouldn't surprise me at all if countries had soldiers there who shouldn't be there.

But fair enough, it's quite possible that despite Ukraine having the equipment, intelligence, experience, and advice of NATO countries the actual man power of NATO isn't there and that would make the difference.

America could stress that supply chain but probably not demolish it (opportunity for Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil to step up, as well as Russia. Also China has a growing African presence they could leverage (they currently have modest agricultural projects there). Might be better for Africans than their current ag trade with the EU.

But food sanctioning China would be bad, seems like that would work about as well as embargoing oil to the Japs in 1941. Best case, they switch supply lines to beef up trade with Russia, Asia, LATAM and African countries. Worst case, they retaliate by kicking the US Navy and its allies out of the South China Sea, meaning war.

It's one of the reasons the Chinese have been trying to get New Zealand on board with the belt and road initiative. They want the kiwis food, and PM horseface wants to sell out to them. I think it's going to eventually cause the kiwis and the Australia to become hostile to each other, especially as the aussies continue to deepen their defence ties with the US.

Remember the trade war shit with Trump when China stopped buying American soybeans? What actually happened was US soybeans went to Brazil, and Brazilian soybeans went to China.
